:01:01. > :01:09.TRANSLATION: Good morning to all the people who helped me intensively. I

:01:10. > :01:13.was in very good hands. I want to thank all the comrades involved in

:01:14. > :01:17.the mission. It was a very big mission. One million tonnes of rock

:01:18. > :01:29.have been blasted away from a mountain top in Chile to make a flat

:01:30. > :01:34.spot to build the world's biggest ever telescope. It is called the

:01:35. > :01:45.European large telescope. The name says it all, the extremely large

:01:46. > :01:53.telescope will be the biggest eye on the sky when it is completed. The

:01:54. > :01:57.telescope's main mirror will be half the size of a football pitch. At 39

:01:58. > :02:01.metres wide, it will be about four times bigger than the largest

:02:02. > :02:07.telescope around at the moment. The huge mirror, made up of nearly

:02:08. > :02:11.800 hecks gone-shaped parts will allow scientists to see deeper into

:02:12. > :02:17.space than ever before. It has been built on top of a mountain that's

:02:18. > :02:23.3,000 metres high in Chile. The spot was chosen because it is a hot and

:02:24. > :02:28.dry site. Plus it is 20kms away from the Very Large Telescope. That is

:02:29. > :02:36.only eight metres wide. There are big ambitions for the extremely

:02:37. > :02:40.large telescope, which are being led by European scientists. This

:02:41. > :02:45.telescope will be able to see the first stars and the first galaxies

:02:46. > :02:53.and to look at really exciting things like extra solar planets,

:02:54. > :02:58.which orbit other stars. It will be so powerful we'll be able to image

:02:59. > :03:05.those planets and understand what their atmospheres are like and if

:03:06. > :03:11.they perhaps host signs of life. Chile is home to ALMA, the largest

:03:12. > :03:19.radio telescope. ALMA has sent back images of a pair of galaxies and the

:03:20. > :03:26.birth of a monster star. There is a slightly long way for the extremely

:03:27. > :03:33.large telescope, but it is hoped it will start working within the next

:03:34. > :03:38.ten years. Thank you. England fans are still dealing with the huge

:03:39. > :03:44.disappointment of last night's 2-1 defeat to Uruguay in the World Cup.

:03:45. > :03:49.There is still a small chance England can make it into the

:03:50. > :03:55.knock-out stages of the tournament. They will have to rely on rivals

:03:56. > :04:01.Italy winning their next two matches. England must also win their

:04:02. > :04:09.last game against Costa Rica to give Rooney and co any hope of getting

:04:10. > :04:15.out of the group. For all of the World Cup action, tune into Match Of

:04:16. > :04:18.The Day Kickabout from 8am. They have got longer shows throughout the

:04:19. > :04:21.tournament. Tomorrow's programme includes a special report from Leah.

:04:22. > :04:25.With Wimbledon only three days away Andy Murray says he is confident he

:04:26. > :04:28.can win again this year. Murray will kick off his campaign on Monday

:04:29. > :04:32.against debum's David Goffin, who is ranked -- Belgium's David Goffin,

:04:33. > :04:36.who is ranked 140 in the world. Murray won last summer. I think if

:04:37. > :04:40.you have done it once, there's no reason you cannot do it again. Each

:04:41. > :04:43.year I have played at Wimbledon since the first year, I have

:04:44. > :04:46.progressively improved my results. I have got better. It has been slow,

:04:47. > :04:50.but steady progress. Obviously it will be tough to top. Winning the

:04:51. > :04:59.tournament - it is hard to improve on that. If I can play like I did

:05:00. > :05:01.last year, I will definitely be in with a chance. Finally,
