:03:30. > :03:33.but did you know there are schools in Wales where Welsh is spoken

:03:34. > :03:42.In Welsh we learn our theme, science, maths.

:03:43. > :03:46.We also know we'll do work in English, like writing letters

:03:47. > :03:52.I really like the fact that the Welsh language is something

:03:53. > :03:58.I think it's important for more people to learn Welsh

:03:59. > :04:11.Even though my mum speaks Welsh, I usually speak English.

:04:12. > :04:23.I prefer the Welsh language because English is a lot more known

:04:24. > :04:27.and it's nice to be able to speak a second language.

:04:28. > :04:29.And now the Welsh Government say they want more people

:04:30. > :04:31.to speak the language, and they say getting

:04:32. > :04:35.children involved is a big part of their plan.

:04:36. > :04:37.But most schools in Wales use English as the main language

:04:38. > :04:41.and only teach Welsh in a few lessons.

:04:42. > :04:44.So do kids from one of those schools think any differently?

:04:45. > :04:55.It can be hard, but when you know the words, it's easy.

:04:56. > :04:59.Each term, we have a different subject to do in Welsh.

:05:00. > :05:11.I think it's only if you really want to learn it.

:05:12. > :05:16.If you don't want to, you don't have to.

:05:17. > :05:20.It's quite astonishing how at one school in Wales all the children

:05:21. > :05:22.will speak Welsh pretty fluently and then just 30 minutes down

:05:23. > :05:25.the road, most of the children at this school don't really speak

:05:26. > :05:31.The whole point is to get more children to speak Welsh.
