:00:21. > :00:27.Hello and welcome to Newsround. As always we have everything you need

:00:27. > :00:33.to know and a bit extra. Under way, we wish happy birthday to a very

:00:33. > :00:40.old chimp. Their obviously ran out of cake. And Nicola Roberts get

:00:41. > :00:45.stuck into her solo career, but can she handle this Pop Quiz? Adele?

:00:45. > :00:49.First we had to Somalia where there are warnings that the situation for

:00:49. > :00:53.children could be about to get worse. The recent drought means

:00:53. > :00:58.many families have no food or shelter, and the rainy season is

:00:58. > :01:02.about to start, which could mean even more serious problems.

:01:02. > :01:10.This is Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, one of the country's worst

:01:10. > :01:15.affected by the drought in South -- Africa. Hundreds of families come

:01:15. > :01:18.here because they think they have a better chance of getting food and

:01:18. > :01:23.water here. Many of the children that arrive are malnourished and

:01:23. > :01:26.are dying because of their lack of food. Things could get worse. Heavy

:01:26. > :01:31.rains are expected, which you might think is good news, but they will

:01:31. > :01:34.destroy the tents which people are living in and if the camps flood,

:01:34. > :01:39.children will be in danger of catching measles and diarrhoea

:01:39. > :01:43.which could prove deadly. I spoke to Justin Forsyth who is working

:01:43. > :01:53.out there for the charity Save The Children. What is the situation

:01:53. > :02:03.

:02:03. > :02:06.Charities are stepping up their efforts so that when the rains come,

:02:06. > :02:09.the people here have a better chance of survival.

:02:09. > :02:14.If you were watching that and wondering what you can do to help

:02:14. > :02:18.them, you could take inspiration from Press Packers Charlie. Last

:02:18. > :02:20.year he raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for children

:02:20. > :02:30.after their 80 earthquake when his fund-raising efforts became an

:02:30. > :02:34.internet sensation. -- after the Haiti earthquake. Now he is passing

:02:34. > :02:40.on his expertise. A year ago are raised a quarter of a million

:02:40. > :02:44.pounds for Haiti. I am going to do the same but for Somalia. I am

:02:44. > :02:51.helping school kids get ready for their sponsored cycle ride. All of

:02:51. > :02:55.the money that we raised will go to Somalia. We did a question and

:02:55. > :03:02.answer session so that these young fundraisers could get prepared for

:03:02. > :03:12.the cycle ride. Did you have to do any training before the five miles?

:03:12. > :03:12.

:03:12. > :03:17.I'd probably have to trade at least once a week -- train. My parents

:03:17. > :03:21.sponsored me and they passed it on to my friends and their friends.

:03:21. > :03:27.How did you feel after the bike ride? I felt tired and very proud

:03:27. > :03:34.of myself. These are my top three tips for his charity cycle ride. No.

:03:34. > :03:39.1, always make sure your tyres are pumped up properly. No. 2, make

:03:39. > :03:44.sure that your brakes are working. No. 3, make sure that you have got

:03:44. > :03:49.a proper Helmut for the bike ride. Now they know how I did it, how are

:03:49. > :03:53.they feeling for their big event? More confident and ready for the

:03:53. > :03:57.bike ride next week. If I do this bike ride it will really help some

:03:57. > :04:02.people in Somalia. I am really excited because Charlie raised a

:04:02. > :04:06.lot of money and I hope to raise the same. Not long to go. With

:04:06. > :04:12.sponsorship coming in, you had better get training. This is

:04:12. > :04:16.Charlie reporting for Newsround. Thank you.

:04:16. > :04:23.One of these chains looks like he is having a great time, because it

:04:23. > :04:27.is happy birthday to Ricky. Not our Ricky, but this guy, one of the

:04:27. > :04:34.oldest animals at Edinburgh Zoo, having reached the big Five-O. He

:04:34. > :04:39.held his party to celebrate. The members of Team GB for the

:04:39. > :04:43.Olympics were officially announced today. The first 11 are this lot,

:04:43. > :04:48.the sailors, with Ben Ainslie in front, aiming for his 4th gold

:04:48. > :04:53.medal for 2012. It is massively exciting, of course. For all of us

:04:53. > :04:58.it is a huge honour to represent the home nation at a home Olympics.

:04:58. > :05:06.We know her best as one of the five members of Girls Aloud, but Nicola

:05:06. > :05:10.Roberts has that doubt on her own and now is riding solo. Her first

:05:11. > :05:19.album Cinderella Eyes is out this week and she has been telling

:05:19. > :05:23.Hayley all about it. Say and music has always been

:05:23. > :05:29.really important to me. That is what I wanted to do when I was

:05:29. > :05:34.growing up. Is it very different to working with Girls Aloud? Yes, it

:05:34. > :05:42.is very different. It is just you on your own and I do miss the girls.

:05:42. > :05:46.Is that the end of Girls Aloud? Definitely not. Your album is

:05:46. > :05:53.called Cinderella Eyes. Within that you talk about the issue of

:05:53. > :06:00.bullying. Is that important to you? There is a song on at the record

:06:00. > :06:04.called Sticks and Stones. It is very close to make and it was a

:06:04. > :06:09.situation that I went through. I wanted to have a record that

:06:09. > :06:14.actually meant something and that somebody could really identify with

:06:14. > :06:20.it and it could really help them personally. I just think it is a

:06:20. > :06:24.positive angle on something that is negative. Because it is called

:06:25. > :06:28.Cinderella Eyes, we have a Pop Quiz for you, based on the eyes of

:06:28. > :06:38.various members of Girls Aloud. There are some red herrings. Here

:06:38. > :06:41.

:06:41. > :06:51.is that? Sarah. Nadine. They are not from Girls Aloud. Is it Adele?

:06:51. > :06:54.

:06:54. > :07:04.Yes! There you go. Gary Barlow? Well done! Thank you very much for

:07:04. > :07:05.

:07:05. > :07:10.coming and doing this crazy quiz. Nice one. We got Gary Barlow

:07:10. > :07:17.straight away, didn't we? We have a new Girls Aloud quiz on our website.

:07:18. > :07:22.Test yourself. We also have the details on nominations for the MTV

:07:22. > :07:28.Europe Awards. Lady Gaga leads the way, up 46 awards including Best

:07:28. > :07:34.Female. Stiff competition from Katy Perry with four nominations and

:07:34. > :07:39.Adele with three. The awards will be coming from Belfast in November.

:07:39. > :07:44.And last up, how one of the world's cheapest cars has become one of the

:07:44. > :07:50.most expensive. This Tata Nano has been covered in 3 million worth of
