0:00:11 > 0:00:12Hi, everyone.

0:00:12 > 0:00:13I'm Naz.

0:00:13 > 0:00:15It's Tuesday and this is Newsround.

0:00:15 > 0:00:17Our top story this afternoon is about Syria, a country

0:00:17 > 0:00:20in the Middle East where different groups have been at war

0:00:20 > 0:00:21for more than five years.

0:00:21 > 0:00:23Today a group of aid workers taking trucks of food, clothes and medicine

0:00:34 > 0:00:36-- Yesterday a group of aid workers taking trucks of food,

0:00:36 > 0:00:37clothes and medicine

0:00:37 > 0:00:40to people caught in the fighting were attacked by warplanes.

0:00:40 > 0:00:41Around 20 people died.

0:00:41 > 0:00:42The volunteers were from the United Nations.

0:00:42 > 0:00:45Now the group, which gets countries to work together for peace,

0:00:45 > 0:00:48has said it will stop sending any more aid going into Syria.

0:00:48 > 0:00:50BBC reporter James Longman sent Newsround this

0:00:50 > 0:00:51from neighbouring country Lebanon.

0:00:51 > 0:00:53There are millions of people who live in parts of Syria

0:00:53 > 0:00:56without regular access to food or medical supplies and this convoy

0:00:56 > 0:00:59was volunteers trying to get aid to a town in the north of Syria.

0:00:59 > 0:01:02Eyewitnesses say bombs were dropped from helicopters

0:01:02 > 0:01:05on a warehouse and 18 trucks, and they had enough aid and medical

0:01:05 > 0:01:09supplies for 78,000 people.

0:01:09 > 0:01:13It comes at a very difficult time for the country because last week

0:01:13 > 0:01:17there was supposed to be a pause in the fighting but it has been very

0:01:17 > 0:01:20difficult to get all the different groups inside Syria to agree.

0:01:20 > 0:01:24So now politicians are going to have to find a way to save the ceasefire,

0:01:24 > 0:01:28but it is very difficult to see how they can do that because if you hit

0:01:28 > 0:01:31aid workers in a war zone, that is against international law

0:01:31 > 0:01:35and that is a war crime.

0:01:35 > 0:01:37In other news, Great Britain's Paralympic stars have

0:01:37 > 0:01:39arrived home from Rio, after their most successful

0:01:39 > 0:01:42Games in nearly 30 years.

0:01:42 > 0:01:47They won 147 medals between them, including 64 golds!

0:01:47 > 0:01:51Ayshah was at London's Heathrow Airport to greet the athletes.

0:01:53 > 0:01:56This is the moment they landed.

0:01:56 > 0:02:02Paralympics GB are home.

0:02:02 > 0:02:05They're the first ones off the plane.

0:02:05 > 0:02:08There is cheering, there are flags waving, it's just so exciting.

0:02:08 > 0:02:10Family and friends packed out the arrival hall,

0:02:10 > 0:02:12waiting to see them.

0:02:18 > 0:02:23achievement it is.

0:02:23 > 0:02:26I'll wave my flags in the air and have a big, big hug.

0:02:26 > 0:02:28Probably going to break her with a hug.

0:02:34 > 0:02:37What is it like to come home and just see the reaction

0:02:37 > 0:02:38of everyone cheering?

0:02:38 > 0:02:47We kind of had an inkling that there was something

0:02:47 > 0:02:49pretty special but when you come off that plane,

0:02:49 > 0:02:52you realise how many people are here, they're welcoming us home

0:02:52 > 0:02:55because we've had such a successful games as a whole team

0:02:55 > 0:02:58and really come out on top, there are just positive faces around

0:02:58 > 0:03:00here and it's just a pleasure to be part of.

0:03:00 > 0:03:01It's overwhelming.

0:03:01 > 0:03:02It's just incredible.

0:03:02 > 0:03:03No one ever expected this.

0:03:03 > 0:03:04It's just amazing.

0:03:04 > 0:03:06The support, the drums, the party atmosphere.

0:03:06 > 0:03:08Yeah, it's just been sensational.

0:03:08 > 0:03:10We were speaking to your family earlier live on Newsround.

0:03:10 > 0:03:12They are beyond proud of you.

0:03:12 > 0:03:13How does that make you feel?

0:03:13 > 0:03:14It's awesome.

0:03:14 > 0:03:18I love my family and being able to be there and do something special

0:03:18 > 0:03:22and them being able to support the is my dream.

0:03:22 > 0:03:24To come back and see all the support, like

0:03:24 > 0:03:26the cheering and, like, oh, it's just insane.

0:03:26 > 0:03:27It's spine tingling.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29It's so exciting that everybody's really got behind us

0:03:29 > 0:03:30and is supporting us.

0:03:30 > 0:03:33Yeah, it's been good and the reception and how I'm

0:03:33 > 0:03:34getting received is amazing.

0:03:34 > 0:03:37I'm glad I'm able to stand as a role model and hopefully

0:03:37 > 0:03:38get my message across.

0:03:38 > 0:03:41I want everyone to believe they can achieve what they want to achieve.

0:03:41 > 0:03:44Two years ago I was in a hospital bed unable to walk and just

0:03:44 > 0:03:47about to get my MS diagnosis, and to be here two years

0:03:47 > 0:03:48later, it's great.

0:03:48 > 0:03:58All that's left to say is welcome home, Paralympics GB, welcome home.

0:03:59 > 0:04:06Thanks, Ayshah.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08We're talking to Eliie Simmonds live tomorrow morning on Newsround,

0:04:08 > 0:04:11and we want to know what you want to ask her.

0:04:11 > 0:04:13Go online now to send us your questions.

0:04:13 > 0:04:15Now to the incredible moment that everyone's been talking

0:04:15 > 0:04:18about - Alistair Brownlee helping his brother Jonny over

0:04:18 > 0:04:20the line during a triathlon race after his legs gave way.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23Well, the pair have been talking about that act of brotherly love.

0:04:23 > 0:04:26Sometimes in sport, we talk about winning is the most

0:04:26 > 0:04:28important thing in the world, and a lot of time it is.

0:04:28 > 0:04:31But maybe yesterday helping a brother out was more important.

0:04:31 > 0:04:34So it takes a very strong and good person to do that.

0:04:34 > 0:04:35All I can do is say thank you.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37I'll make him remember it.

0:04:37 > 0:04:41I'll have to buy him a good Christmas present.

0:04:41 > 0:04:42That's all from me.
