:00:08. > :00:13.It's Tuesday, 20th November. I'm Nel. And I'm Ricky. Here's what's

:00:13. > :00:17.coming up in the next nine minutes. What next for Becks when he leaves

:00:17. > :00:21.Joe meets some very furry firefighters.

:00:21. > :00:31.And stuck Santa! We'll see if he claws his way out later in the show.

:00:31. > :00:41.

:00:41. > :00:44.This is Newsround. But first, should women be allowed

:00:44. > :00:48.to become Bishops? That's what the Church of England is set to decide

:00:49. > :00:51.within the next hour. At the moment, women are only allowed to be

:00:52. > :00:56.priests, and there's been a big debate about whether they should be

:00:56. > :01:02.able to take the next step up. I've been looking at both sides of the

:01:02. > :01:08.argument. Throughout history women have had to fight to be seen as

:01:08. > :01:12.equal to men. Because of that, we can now vote, join the Army, we can

:01:12. > :01:17.even be Prime Minister. One thing women still can't do in England is

:01:17. > :01:22.be a bit. That all could change today as the leaders of the Church

:01:22. > :01:25.of England vote on the issue. It's 20 years since women were

:01:25. > :01:29.allowed to become priests. Some say there is though reason they

:01:29. > :01:33.shouldn't be allowed to take up the next step: We've got a lot of young

:01:33. > :01:37.women growing up in the Church. The message we are giving to them is we

:01:37. > :01:41.only want you to prepare the altar, put the flowers on, make the tea,

:01:41. > :01:45.clean the church, but that's all you're good for that. Is an

:01:45. > :01:49.unacceptable message. But many in the Church disagree over the issue.

:01:49. > :01:54.Why can't a woman be a Bishop or a priest? I believe that a woman can

:01:54. > :01:58.be no more a priest than I can be a mother. It is as basic to nature

:01:58. > :02:01.and to the way God ordered things as that. But they are allowed to

:02:01. > :02:06.become priests at the moment, so what's the problem with that?

:02:06. > :02:12.only do we not believe that women can be ordained as priests, or we

:02:12. > :02:17.have grave doubts about it, we must have equally grave doubts that they

:02:17. > :02:21.can be Bishop. The Church of England has the keen as its head.

:02:21. > :02:25.It is split into different areas known as diocese. Each area is run

:02:25. > :02:29.by a priest. The Church of England is part of a wider community, the

:02:29. > :02:32.Anglican church, which has tens of millions of followers worldwide. It

:02:32. > :02:36.may seem triesing that when it comes to being a Bishop men and

:02:36. > :02:40.women aren't seen as equals. But the Church of England is considered

:02:40. > :02:44.to be way ahead of other religions when it comes to giving women power.

:02:44. > :02:48.If the vote goes through today it could mean that we see female

:02:48. > :02:56.Bishops by 2014. On the Newsround website today your

:02:56. > :03:01.thoughts have been flooding in about this guy's next move. We've

:03:01. > :03:06.had so many comments. Manchester United says Benjamin in Liverpool

:03:06. > :03:09.says Kieran in if West Midlands. And we've got Chelsea, say Ashley

:03:09. > :03:11.and Matthew. They're all answering the big question: What next for

:03:11. > :03:21.David Beckham? It's after the former England captain announced

:03:21. > :03:27.he's leaving his club, LA Galaxy, in America next month. David

:03:27. > :03:35.Beckham, where is he heading next? The most famous man in sport is on

:03:35. > :03:42.the move. Real Madrid, AC Milan and LA Galaxy. He was once England's

:03:42. > :03:45.Captain. David Beckham started his career as a 14-year-old trainee

:03:45. > :03:50.here at Manchester United. The midfielder went on the make 398

:03:50. > :03:54.appearances for the club, winning six Premier League titles a

:03:54. > :03:57.Champions League and the attention of the world. At 37 Becks is

:03:57. > :04:07.certainly no spring chicken. He isn't quite ready to hang up his

:04:07. > :04:17.

:04:18. > :04:22.boots just yet, but in a statement So where next? I've come down to

:04:22. > :04:28.the BBC sports HQ to find out what the footie experts think. Chris,

:04:28. > :04:32.what do we think of David Beckham's options? David Beckham is a massive

:04:32. > :04:37.name, a global brand. He has offers from Australia, from China, where

:04:37. > :04:41.he is a God. He's a God in Asia. He could play in the Premiership. He

:04:41. > :04:49.has plenty of options. For now he says he wants a new challenge and

:04:49. > :04:53.is keeping us all hanging. David's wife, Spice Girl Victoria Beckham

:04:53. > :04:57.has cracked America. Her fashion label is hugely successful. With

:04:57. > :05:03.New York as the fashion capital of the world she might hold the key

:05:03. > :05:07.that their next move. He's made it clear he isn't ready to quit the

:05:07. > :05:17.beautiful game just yet. Ricky, that voice, I don't know what to

:05:17. > :05:28.

:05:28. > :05:31.say. I'm sorry about that. It Let's go to Pakistan now to update

:05:31. > :05:34.you on a story we told you about in September. A Christian schoolgirl

:05:34. > :05:37.who was accused of burning pages of a religious text book has been

:05:37. > :05:47.cleared of doing anything wrong. 14-year-old Rimsha Masih was facing

:05:47. > :05:47.

:05:47. > :05:52.jail. Tulip Mazumdar is in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan.

:05:52. > :05:56.Some of Rimsha's neighbours had accused her after tearing pages out

:05:56. > :06:01.of a textbook which concern children use to learn about the

:06:01. > :06:05.Koran and setting fire to them. Doing anything bad to Islamic

:06:05. > :06:08.religious texts here in Pakistan is a very serious offence. Rimsha and

:06:09. > :06:14.her family have been in hiding because a small number of people

:06:14. > :06:21.here have threatened to hurt her. But now judges at a top court have

:06:21. > :06:24.decided there isn't enough evidence to charge Rimsha and she's been

:06:24. > :06:29.declared innocent. A religious leader has been accused of putting

:06:29. > :06:33.the burnt pages into Rimsha's bag so she would get into trouble. He

:06:33. > :06:36.will now face trouble. At the start of the show we showed

:06:36. > :06:39.you a very stuck Santa. He usually comes down the chimney, but Father

:06:39. > :06:43.Christmas got into trouble when he decided to abseil instead. He got

:06:43. > :06:46.his beard stuck in the rope trying to get into a shopping centre in

:06:46. > :06:49.Reading! Keep watching until the end of the programme to find out if

:06:49. > :06:51.he got down. Next, fire dogs. Not the name of a

:06:51. > :06:59.new Disney animation, but the new super-skilled detectives London

:06:59. > :07:02.Fire Brigade are looking to recruit. Joe's got this one. Arson is a big

:07:02. > :07:06.problem in London. Almost half of all fires are started deliberately

:07:07. > :07:10.in the capital, and catching criminals a big job. Before the

:07:10. > :07:16.police can investigate whether or not a fire was started deliberately,

:07:16. > :07:21.the Fire Brigade need to send in their crack team of vectors - Sam

:07:21. > :07:27.and Ross co. Sam and Ross co have been fire dogs at London Fire

:07:27. > :07:30.Brigade for eight years. It is their job to search fire-damaged

:07:30. > :07:35.build position find flammable substance which is may have been

:07:35. > :07:39.used to start a blais. There are only 14 fire dogs in the whole

:07:39. > :07:43.country. But soon they'll be retiring and the Fire Brigade are

:07:43. > :07:49.on the lookout for a new team of highly-skilled officers to replace

:07:49. > :07:58.them. First, they have to put protective equipment on. Here's the

:07:58. > :08:07.test. Mick is going to going to pour a tiny spot of substance on

:08:07. > :08:12.this rag. It is up to Sam to find That's amazing. What was that, 40

:08:12. > :08:19.seconds? 40 seconds to search the whole room. Sam is retiring. Will

:08:19. > :08:25.it be sad when he hangs occupy his boots? Very sad, he will want to

:08:25. > :08:29.carry on working but very the have to retire them at eight. Murphy is

:08:29. > :08:34.only a puppy but he is already auditioning. All the indications

:08:34. > :08:43.are good. He really wants to climb, jump, run around and get involved

:08:43. > :08:46.in what we're doing. Soon Sam and Rosco will be on the next call-out.

:08:47. > :08:49.Murphy could be part of the next generation of fire dogs.

:08:50. > :08:53.OK - Santa update time! And you can stop worrying. Phew! Rescuers
