:00:00. > :00:08.Good morning, Ricky here with your Bank Holiday headlines. Coming up on

:00:09. > :00:18.Newsround: Astronauts at the International Space Sataion get a

:00:19. > :00:23.special Easter Treat. I'm with Diversity to find out why

:00:24. > :00:29.ballet is important for boys. This is Newsround!

:00:30. > :00:32.But first, more than 100,000 homes in the South of England have been

:00:33. > :00:35.protected from future flooding. The Environment Agency who look after

:00:36. > :00:38.flooding and pollution in England say they have repaired 350 flood

:00:39. > :00:43.defences after those winter floods battered parts of the country. In

:00:44. > :00:47.some areas sea defences were completely washed away. There's

:00:48. > :00:58.still a lot of work to be done, more than 650 defences are still in need

:00:59. > :01:02.of repair. Next, the Queen celebrates her 88th

:01:03. > :01:05.birthday today and the occasion's being marked with a new portrait.

:01:06. > :01:08.This black and white image was taken at Buckingham Palace in March by

:01:09. > :01:11.British photographer David Bailey. The Queen has two birthdays. Her

:01:12. > :01:14.actual one today, and her official one in June. The Palace says the

:01:15. > :01:17.Queen will be spending her birthday at Windsor Castle.

:01:18. > :01:21.Next, you might think street dance and ballet are as different as night

:01:22. > :01:24.and day but they actually have more in common than you might think.

:01:25. > :01:28.Former Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity are backing efforts to get

:01:29. > :01:36.more boys into ballet and there's a very good reason why... Jenny put on

:01:37. > :01:42.her pumps to join them and find out. You will probably recognise these

:01:43. > :01:46.guys from Britain's Got Talent and films. Diversity are known for their

:01:47. > :01:49.energetic routines and their crazy flips and spins but you are probably

:01:50. > :01:55.wondering what they have in common with ballet. Ballet is extremely

:01:56. > :02:00.important, depending on what kind of dancer you want to be. If you want

:02:01. > :02:05.to go into the dance industry or musical theatre and you want to jazz

:02:06. > :02:09.and contemporary, you have to have a ballet background. It is imperative

:02:10. > :02:14.because it is the foundation of all of those styles. Being a ballet

:02:15. > :02:17.dancer has loads of positives that we can apply, for example

:02:18. > :02:23.flexibility, mobility, discipline... In terms of the

:02:24. > :02:28.physicality gives you it is one of the most amazing things you can

:02:29. > :02:33.pursue. This dance group have made ballet a compulsory part of all of

:02:34. > :02:39.their classes. Ballet is really good because it helps me with my street

:02:40. > :02:43.dance that I do, especially in street because you get stronger and

:02:44. > :02:48.when you are doing pop and rock you are neat and tidy towns stuff. When

:02:49. > :02:52.I started I didn't really want to do it but now it is making my street

:02:53. > :03:00.dance stronger and if you do ballet you find it more easy because you

:03:01. > :03:05.are flexible. I thought no one would ever catch me in a leotard and teach

:03:06. > :03:11.me that but since I have been doing yet it has made me feel stronger and

:03:12. > :03:15.made me realise how important it is to do ballet. They are sold, but

:03:16. > :03:22.convincing more boys that ballet is for them may take a little while.

:03:23. > :03:27.These guys are the minority. Of the 11,000 kids that took GCSE dance

:03:28. > :03:35.last year only around 700 were boys. With classes like this all of

:03:36. > :03:43.that could be about to change. Thank you. There is loads more about

:03:44. > :03:48.this story on the Newsround website. You can look at Jenny's

:03:49. > :03:51.behind-the-scenes tour. Football, and Liverpool now have one

:03:52. > :03:55.hand on the Premier League trophy after beating Norwich 3-2, extending

:03:56. > :03:58.their lead at the top of the table to five points. Elsewhere the battle

:03:59. > :04:01.for Champions League places continues. Arsenal beat Hull 3-0 and

:04:02. > :04:05.David Moyes returned to Everton as his Man Untied team lost 2-0. Moyes

:04:06. > :04:13.insists his team will be in better shape next season. We are under way

:04:14. > :04:17.with what we are doing and we will try and make sure we get the right

:04:18. > :04:20.things in place for the start of the next season and give ourselves a

:04:21. > :04:24.better chance of competing at the top end of the league. These games

:04:25. > :04:30.important as part of that process and getting into Europe? If you play

:04:31. > :04:34.for Manchester United every game is important. Every team we play is a

:04:35. > :04:37.tough game and we will do everything we can to win the remaining games.

:04:38. > :04:40.The crew of the International Space Station took delivery of a special

:04:41. > :04:44.Easter treat last night. A cargo ship full of supplies docked with

:04:45. > :04:46.the Space Station on Sunday. The unmanned rocket which blasted off

:04:47. > :04:51.from Florida over the week contained two tonnes of food, equipment and

:04:52. > :04:56.science experiments. Astronauts used a robot arm to capture the capsule

:04:57. > :04:59.260 miles above Egypt. That's all from me, Newsround's back

:05:00. > :05:04.right here in about half an hour.
