:00:00. > :00:12.Good morning, Ricky here with your Bank Holiday headlines. Coming up on

:00:13. > :00:15.Newsround: flood defences repaired across the country and happy

:00:16. > :00:22.birthday to the Queen. This is Newsround!

:00:23. > :00:25.But first, more than 100,000 homes in the South of England have been

:00:26. > :00:28.protected from future flooding. The Environment Agency who look after

:00:29. > :00:31.flooding and pollution in England say they have repaired 350 flood

:00:32. > :00:34.defences after those winter floods battered parts of the country. In

:00:35. > :00:38.some areas sea defences were completely washed away. There's

:00:39. > :00:53.still a lot of work to be done, more than 650 defences are still in need

:00:54. > :00:56.of repair. Next, did you know music didn't

:00:57. > :00:59.always come in digital form? Well, it's been ten years since it became

:01:00. > :01:02.possible to download a song and Radio 1 are celebrating by counting

:01:03. > :01:06.down the top 100 tunes. Labelled the biggest revolution in

:01:07. > :01:08.the history of the music industry, DJs Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills and

:01:09. > :01:11.Jameela Jamil will present The Official All-Time Download Top 100

:01:12. > :01:14.today from 12.00pm. Next, the Queen celebrates her 88th

:01:15. > :01:17.birthday today and the occasion's being marked with a new portrait.

:01:18. > :01:20.This black and white image was taken at Buckingham Palace in March by

:01:21. > :01:23.British photographer David Bailey. The Queen has two birthdays. Her

:01:24. > :01:27.actual one today, and her official one in June. The Palace says the

:01:28. > :01:29.Queen will be spending her birthday at Windsor Castle.

:01:30. > :01:33.Next, you might think street dance and ballet are as different as night

:01:34. > :01:36.and day but they actually have more in common than you might think.

:01:37. > :01:39.Former Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity are backing efforts to get

:01:40. > :01:45.more boys into ballet and there's a very good reason why... Jenny put on

:01:46. > :01:51.her pumps to join them and find out. You will probably recognise these

:01:52. > :01:55.guys from Britain's Got Talent or some films. Diversity are known for

:01:56. > :01:59.their energetic routines and their crazy flips and spins but you are

:02:00. > :02:03.probably wondering what they have in common with ballet. Ballet is

:02:04. > :02:09.extremely important depending on what kind of dancer you want to be.

:02:10. > :02:12.If you want to go into the dance industry or musical theatre or jazz

:02:13. > :02:18.and contemporary, you have to do have a ballet background. It is

:02:19. > :02:24.imperative. It is the foundation of all of those styles. Being a ballet

:02:25. > :02:29.dancer has loads of politics that we can use. Flexibility, mobility,

:02:30. > :02:33.discipline. In terms of the physicality gives you, it is one of

:02:34. > :02:38.the most amazing things you can pursue, I think. This dance group in

:02:39. > :02:43.Manchester have made ballet a compulsory part of all of their

:02:44. > :02:48.classes. I think ballet is really good because it helps me with my

:02:49. > :02:53.street dance, my main dance that I do, especially in street because it

:02:54. > :02:57.gets stronger because it makes you neat and tidy and stuff. When I

:02:58. > :03:02.started I did not ready want to do it but now it has made my street

:03:03. > :03:08.stronger. If you do ballet you find it much easier because you are

:03:09. > :03:13.flexible. I am not going to lie, I thought you would never catch me in

:03:14. > :03:17.a leotard and a tutu but since I have been doing yet it has made me

:03:18. > :03:24.feel stronger and realise how important it is to do ballet. They

:03:25. > :03:30.are sold, but convincing more boys that ballet is for them might take a

:03:31. > :03:36.little while. These guys are the minority. 11,000 kids took GCSE

:03:37. > :03:41.dance last year but only around 700 were boys. With classes like this,

:03:42. > :03:50.all of that could be about to change.

:03:51. > :03:54.Let's get you some football results and Liverpool now have one hand on

:03:55. > :03:57.the Premier League trophy after beating Norwich 3-2, extending their

:03:58. > :04:00.lead at the top of the table to five points. Elsewhere the battle for

:04:01. > :04:03.Champions League places continues. Arsenal beat Hull 3-0 and David

:04:04. > :04:07.Moyes returned to Everton as his Man Untied team lost 2-0. Moyes insists

:04:08. > :04:10.his team will be in better shape next season. We are underway with

:04:11. > :04:13.what we are doing and we will try to make sure we have the right things

:04:14. > :04:18.in place for the next season and give ourselves a better chance of

:04:19. > :04:22.completing nearer the top end of the league. Are these games important in

:04:23. > :04:26.that process and getting into Europe? If you play for Manchester

:04:27. > :04:31.United every game is important. Every team we play is a tough game.

:04:32. > :04:33.We will do everything we can to win the remaining games.

:04:34. > :04:37.F1 and Britain's Lewis Hamilton has won his third race in a row. The

:04:38. > :04:41.Brit led the Chinese Grand Prix from the start and is now only four

:04:42. > :04:43.points behind team mate Nico Rosberg in the championship.

:04:44. > :04:46.The crew of the International Space Station took delivery of a special

:04:47. > :04:50.Easter treat last night. A cargo ship full of supplies docked with

:04:51. > :04:53.the Space Station on Sunday. The unmanned rocket which blasted off

:04:54. > :05:01.from Florida over the week contained two tonnes of food, equipment and

:05:02. > :05:03.science experiments. Newsround
