0:00:12 > 0:00:13Hello, good morning, I'm Naz.
0:00:13 > 0:00:17It's Wednesday and this is Newsround.
0:00:17 > 0:00:19First up, you've told us that bullying on social media
0:00:19 > 0:00:22is a problem that many of you face.
0:00:22 > 0:00:25Well, now Instagram has decided to roll out a new feature getting
0:00:25 > 0:00:27rid of any comments you may find offensive or upsetting.
0:00:27 > 0:00:29But will it stop the bullies?
0:00:29 > 0:00:31I've been asking whether you think it'll work.
0:00:34 > 0:00:37Social media is used by millions worldwide.
0:00:37 > 0:00:43But bullying is a big problem.
0:00:43 > 0:00:45Social media companies have been accused of not doing enough.
0:00:45 > 0:00:49And kids being bullied know that certain features made
0:00:49 > 0:00:52to help just don't work.
0:00:52 > 0:00:56Now Instagram has rolled out a new feature where you can list
0:00:56 > 0:00:59all the words and emojis that upset you.
0:00:59 > 0:01:04And this is one example of how it works.
0:01:05 > 0:01:08I really don't like the word horrible, and the angry emoji
0:01:08 > 0:01:11really does make me angry, so I can put those words and that
0:01:11 > 0:01:16emoji on a list of words that I don't like, so if anybody comments
0:01:16 > 0:01:20on my pics with "horrible" or the angry emoji, they will be
0:01:20 > 0:01:24removed automatically and I won't see them.
0:01:24 > 0:01:27Instagram says they did this to make sure "everyone feels
0:01:27 > 0:01:31safe to be themselves without criticism or harassment".
0:01:32 > 0:01:35But what do these year nines think?
0:01:35 > 0:01:36Will it work?
0:01:36 > 0:01:38Some people can find ways around the censoring, and they
0:01:38 > 0:01:42will use other words.
0:01:42 > 0:01:44There's ways around it, they will use physical bullying
0:01:44 > 0:01:47and then there's phone calls and other social medias.
0:01:47 > 0:01:49Getting the words right and what makes you feel safe
0:01:49 > 0:01:53will take a lot of time.
0:01:53 > 0:01:57It will probably work for the first week and then get forgotten.
0:01:57 > 0:02:00It will give people a sense of security, thinking
0:02:00 > 0:02:02that they can't have people saying rude comments about them.
0:02:02 > 0:02:04I think that the new feature wouldn't work because they would
0:02:04 > 0:02:09find a way around it and use different emojis.
0:02:09 > 0:02:11This is just one idea, but the reality - it
0:02:11 > 0:02:15won't solve bullying overnight.
0:02:15 > 0:02:17And if you're worried about any kind of bullying,
0:02:17 > 0:02:20then head over to the CBBC website where you can find loads of advice.
0:02:22 > 0:02:24Now, to a big story happening in Syria, a country
0:02:24 > 0:02:27in the Middle East where different groups have been at war
0:02:27 > 0:02:28for more than five years.
0:02:28 > 0:02:31On Monday, aid workers taking trucks full of food, clothes and medicine
0:02:31 > 0:02:34to people caught in the fighting were attacked and around
0:02:34 > 0:02:3620 people died.
0:02:36 > 0:02:39America has blamed Russian warplanes for the attack,
0:02:39 > 0:02:41calling it an enormous tragedy, but Russia strongly
0:02:41 > 0:02:46denies being involved.
0:02:46 > 0:02:47The aid workers were from the United Nations,
0:02:47 > 0:02:53and now the organisation, which gets countries to work
0:02:53 > 0:02:55together for peace, says it will stop sending any
0:02:55 > 0:02:58more aid into Syria.
0:02:58 > 0:03:00BBC reporter James Longman sent Newsround this from
0:03:00 > 0:03:04neighbouring country Lebanon.
0:03:04 > 0:03:06There are millions of people who live in parts of Syria
0:03:06 > 0:03:10without regular access to food or medical supplies,
0:03:10 > 0:03:13and this convoy was volunteer is trying to get aid to a town
0:03:13 > 0:03:17in the north of Syria.
0:03:17 > 0:03:19Now, eyewitnesses say bombs were dropped from helicopters
0:03:19 > 0:03:22on a warehouse and 18 trucks, and they had enough aid and medical
0:03:22 > 0:03:26supplies for 78,000 people.
0:03:26 > 0:03:29It comes at a very difficult time for the country, because last week
0:03:29 > 0:03:32there was supposed to be a pause in the fighting,
0:03:32 > 0:03:35but it has been very difficult to get all the different groups
0:03:35 > 0:03:36inside Syria to agree.
0:03:36 > 0:03:45So now politicians are going to have to find a way to save the ceasefire,
0:03:45 > 0:03:48but it's very difficult to see how they can do that,
0:03:48 > 0:03:50because if you hit aid workers in a war zone,
0:03:50 > 0:03:57that is against international law, and that is a war crime.
0:03:57 > 0:03:57Thanks,
0:03:57 > 0:03:58Thanks, James.
0:03:58 > 0:04:00Thanks, James. Next:
0:04:00 > 0:04:03Bulldogs and pugs are becoming more and more popular as pets.
0:04:03 > 0:04:05But now vets are warning that the demand for these types
0:04:05 > 0:04:07of flat-faced breeds of dogs is harming their health.
0:04:07 > 0:04:10Many dogs suffer with breathing problems and some owners
0:04:10 > 0:04:12are choosing to abandon them rather than pay vets' bills.
0:04:12 > 0:04:14The predominant thing with this breed that we see problems
0:04:14 > 0:04:16with is something called Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway
0:04:16 > 0:04:19Syndrome, which is a posh way of saying that because they have got
0:04:19 > 0:04:22a really short nose that we have bred into them, as a result,
0:04:22 > 0:04:25they have breathing difficulties, which you can hear now.
0:04:25 > 0:04:27Owners frequently are not aware of a problem with their dogs,
0:04:27 > 0:04:29they perhaps just accept that the dogs are like this.
0:04:29 > 0:04:33If you have one of these dogs, you will be aware of the problem.
0:04:33 > 0:04:35They are usually snorers, again people find it quite cute,
0:04:35 > 0:04:37but that is a sign, often struggle at exercise,
0:04:37 > 0:04:44they have quite poor tolerance and get tired out very quickly.
0:04:44 > 0:04:47Before I go, head online to give us your questions for Paralympic
0:04:47 > 0:04:49champions Sarah Storey and Ellie Simmonds, as we'll be
0:04:49 > 0:04:51chatting to them later.
0:04:51 > 0:04:53That's all from me.
0:04:53 > 0:04:56Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.
