:00:22. > :00:26.Good afternoon. Welcome. We are in our brand new home in Manchester.
:00:26. > :00:31.The place might have changed but as always we have the top stories of
:00:31. > :00:37.the day including... The first boat to sail the seven seas than
:00:37. > :00:43.completely by robots. And we find out why Ricki is proud to be
:00:43. > :00:49.British. Awful gear! Is your school falling apart with grotty toilet
:00:49. > :00:53.and paint peeling off the walls? Or is it shiny and new? A lot of new
:00:53. > :00:57.schools have popped up around the UK over the last decade, but last
:00:57. > :01:01.year the government decided to scrap the building schools for the
:01:01. > :01:04.future programme. Honda Dott you got in touch at the time to tell us
:01:04. > :01:08.how it affected you, some of the worst hit were children from-and
:01:08. > :01:11.school in Blackpool. I went back to see if anything has changed. This
:01:11. > :01:16.is a school for children with physical disabilities, that means
:01:16. > :01:21.they need more room to get around. But it was not built for that and
:01:21. > :01:25.last year they invited news round to see the problems that causes.
:01:25. > :01:29.The classrooms are too small! The corridors are too narrow, it is
:01:29. > :01:32.impossible to get wheelchairs down. They were told they could have a
:01:32. > :01:38.new school boy when the government came into power last year they
:01:38. > :01:42.announced there was no money left. More than 700 building projects are
:01:42. > :01:48.being axed. Cuts were made in areas including schools, the plans got
:01:48. > :01:51.changed. The school were told they would get 13 million for their new
:01:51. > :01:54.state of the art school. When that was cut they said they could make
:01:54. > :01:58.do with just 5 million. The government said even that was too
:01:58. > :02:02.much and their hopes for a new School disappeared. But one year-
:02:02. > :02:05.old they are still here, still facing the same problems. The
:02:05. > :02:09.singers were not built for children in wheelchairs, so they cannot
:02:09. > :02:12.reach the taps, the corridors are too narrow to which means some are
:02:12. > :02:17.taken round the outside of the building to get another classroom,
:02:18. > :02:25.even in the rain. All the children feel let down. I was upset.
:02:25. > :02:30.angry. So unfair. What has happened since last time we were here?
:02:30. > :02:33.got some repairs but it is just papering over the cracks. We really
:02:33. > :02:37.need a new school, we need the money. They governments say the
:02:37. > :02:41.decision about the money is down to the local council. They have just
:02:41. > :02:44.sent this school this letter saying there is no more money right now,
:02:44. > :02:50.meaning the children here are asking the same question they did
:02:50. > :02:54.last year dot dot where is our new school?! We asked the government
:02:54. > :03:04.what they thought about this and the Department for Education sent
:03:04. > :03:15.
:03:15. > :03:20.We will let you know what ever we hear. It could be the story from a
:03:20. > :03:25.sci-fi movie, a bad one, sure, but robots are taking of a -- taking
:03:25. > :03:31.over our waters. Scientists have created the first seaworthy ship in
:03:31. > :03:36.America to be manned by robots. On the epic 33,000 mile journey four
:03:36. > :03:41.robots will collect see data in parts of the world. I wonder if
:03:41. > :03:47.they will sing up row, row, a robot your boat all the way round. They
:03:47. > :03:51.made me so it, so I did! If that is impressive, this is not. Time is
:03:51. > :03:55.running out before the latest space probe to Mars runs out of battery.
:03:55. > :04:01.The Russian rocket launched 12 days ago but engines broke and it got
:04:01. > :04:06.stuck in the orbit. There is only a short time before the power to
:04:06. > :04:10.communication systems runs out. So far, attempts to contact it had
:04:10. > :04:14.failed. It seems like yesterday we watched as massive protests broke
:04:14. > :04:18.out in Egypt. It is February, thousands of people want in an end
:04:18. > :04:22.to their poverty and corruption campaign for two weeks to try to
:04:22. > :04:25.force their President out. He eventually stood down and after
:04:25. > :04:30.days on the streets people there were looking forward to a bright,
:04:30. > :04:38.exciting future. Nine months on violence has erupted on the street
:04:38. > :04:44.again. So scenes of jubilation from earlier this year on the streets of
:04:44. > :04:47.Cairo, Egypt's capital and the centre of the protests. Night after
:04:47. > :04:51.night they assembled in Tahrir Square, demanding President Mubarak,
:04:51. > :04:56.the man in charge of the country, would go. This is the moment their
:04:56. > :05:01.wishes became true. But now, in that same square, the protesters
:05:01. > :05:04.are back. So what has happened? The protesters say little has changed,
:05:04. > :05:10.the military have been rowing the country since the President was
:05:10. > :05:15.overthrown. -- running the country. Elections are due next week, but
:05:15. > :05:19.protesters are angry the military could keep hold of too much power.
:05:19. > :05:23.Protests became violent over the weekend and more than 20 people
:05:23. > :05:30.have now been killed. It is not what the people behind Egypt's
:05:30. > :05:38.revolution hoped for. Hello. I spoke to these kids about what is
:05:38. > :05:43.happening there. We are just trying to keep safe, keep going out to a
:05:43. > :05:47.minimum, go out in numbers. We have to be careful, if anything gets
:05:47. > :05:51.worse, we have to be more careful going to school. The violence in
:05:52. > :05:57.Egypt shows that changing a country involves a whole lot more than just
:05:57. > :06:01.removing the man in charge. All this means next week's elections
:06:01. > :06:08.are in doubt now, and so is the future of the thousands of people
:06:08. > :06:12.here. We have been asking you what gets you bursting with pride?
:06:12. > :06:16.ting up in the morning. I find it really hard right now. Anyway, a
:06:16. > :06:22.survey has listed the top 10 things that make us proud to be British.
:06:22. > :06:26.We went to find out what you think. William Shakespeare, the man behind
:06:26. > :06:29.Romeo and Juliet, topped the poll of people who make you most proud,
:06:29. > :06:35.closely followed by the Armed Forces, the Union Jack and the
:06:35. > :06:40.Royal Family. Four lads from Liverpool, the Beatles, also made
:06:40. > :06:47.it onto the list. For me, I am most proud of the BBC, then again, I am
:06:48. > :06:53.biased! We are holding the Olympics next year, I am well proud that we
:06:53. > :07:00.will be holding it in London. have good tolerance in the country.
:07:00. > :07:04.We are kind to other people, not just white people. It is enough for
:07:04. > :07:14.even the most unpatriotic person to shed a tear. It has got me in the
:07:14. > :07:16.
