:01:34. > :01:44.It all kicked off last week when Madi Rowlands won a gold

:01:45. > :01:50.Not only was it a first for Madi but it was a first

:01:51. > :01:54.for Great Britain, because never in Olympic history has an adult

:01:55. > :01:57.an adult or a youth won a gold on snow.

:01:58. > :02:00.But it didn't stop there for Maddie - she performed in the slopestyle,

:02:01. > :02:09.The judges then awarded her a bronze medal for her grace and poise.

:02:10. > :02:14.I'm so happy, because I didn't expect a place!

:03:23. > :03:26.It's amazing, just managing to stand up on the podium for Team GB,

:03:27. > :03:30.A massive clean-up operation has begun in Fiji after the most severe

:03:31. > :03:33.Rescue workers say they're struggling to reach people who need

:03:34. > :03:37.Cyclone Winston brought winds of over 200 miles per hour,

:03:43. > :03:45.Next, Manchester Dogs Home is re-opening in a few hours' time,

:03:46. > :03:48.more than a year after a big fire destroyed its buildings.

:03:49. > :03:50.People have donated more than ?1 million to the adoption

:03:51. > :04:01.These dogs are getting comfy in their new home.

:04:02. > :04:05.And the newly-reopened centre is better than ever.

:04:06. > :04:08.Each kennel has glass windows and doors, and each dog

:04:09. > :04:18.The kennels even have underfloor heating to keep them warm.

:04:19. > :04:25.The one thing that we've really missed out on over the last 12

:04:26. > :04:28.months has been an adoption centre here, so to have the new kennels

:04:29. > :04:32.here and to have such wonderful kennels here is going to mean

:04:33. > :04:35.that we can get people back onto the site and start doing

:04:36. > :04:39.So far there are around 20 dogs living in the home,

:04:40. > :04:43.with other parts of the centre to reopen later this year.

:04:44. > :04:46.But although these dogs have a nice and comfy place to live now,

:04:47. > :04:50.Steve says the best place for them is with a new owner in their home.
