:00:20. > :00:28.grand reopening. First, Manchester Dogs Home

:00:29. > :00:33.is re-opening in a few hours time, more than a year after a big fire

:00:34. > :00:48.destroyed its buildings. Good morning, the dogs here are

:00:49. > :00:57.pretty excited. I don't know if you can hear them! They are pretty

:00:58. > :01:01.excited. At the moment there are around 100 dogs staying at this dogs

:01:02. > :01:06.home, 30 of which are up for adoption. Back in September 20 14th

:01:07. > :01:10.sadly this dogs home was burnt down. Since then people in the local

:01:11. > :01:14.community and many others have come together and raised more than ?2

:01:15. > :01:17.million to get this place back up and running. We managed to get in to

:01:18. > :01:19.have a sneak preview. These dogs are getting

:01:20. > :01:21.comfy in their new home. And the newly-reopened centre

:01:22. > :01:23.is better than ever. Each kennel has glass windows

:01:24. > :01:26.and doors, and each dog The kennels even have underfloor

:01:27. > :01:31.heating to keep them warm. The one thing that we've really

:01:32. > :01:34.missed out on over the last 12 months has been an adoption centre

:01:35. > :01:38.here, so to have the new kennels here and to have such wonderful

:01:39. > :01:40.kennels here is going to mean that we can get people back

:01:41. > :01:44.onto the site and start doing So far there are around 20

:01:45. > :01:49.dogs living in the home, with other parts of the centre

:01:50. > :01:52.to reopen later this year. But although these dogs have a nice

:01:53. > :01:56.and comfy place to live now, Steve says the best place for them

:01:57. > :02:11.is with a new owner in their home. The people who are in charge of the

:02:12. > :02:14.dogs home said this is one small part of the rebuilt. In the future

:02:15. > :02:18.they hold to build a bigger centre which will hold more dogs and keep

:02:19. > :02:21.them all safe and warm. For now, back to you.
