0:00:04 > 0:00:05Hello there, news fans.

0:00:05 > 0:00:08I've got your top stories for your live lunchtime update.

0:00:08 > 0:00:09Coming up...

0:00:09 > 0:00:12The dad who's faster than Mo Farah!

0:00:12 > 0:00:22And what's this all about?

0:00:23 > 0:00:25First to the Para-Athletics Championships today where

0:00:25 > 0:00:30Kadeena Cox has taken Britain's 14th gold.

0:00:30 > 0:00:33Kadeena won the T38 400 metres easily, and was six seconds ahead

0:00:33 > 0:00:37of everyone else in the race.

0:00:37 > 0:00:41She already holds the world record for the event and they'll be another

0:00:41 > 0:00:46chance for a medal when she competes again later today.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49I was confident for 300 metres.

0:00:49 > 0:00:54I've been hitting 300 metres which is good,

0:00:54 > 0:00:57but I knew I just didn't have the strength for that last 100.

0:00:57 > 0:01:00I've not been on the bike, the bike is where I get

0:01:00 > 0:01:02a lot of my strength from and, like I've said, I've

0:01:02 > 0:01:04not put in the work.

0:01:04 > 0:01:06Another speed demon now - Usain Bolt has ran his

0:01:06 > 0:01:07fastest time this year.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09He won the 100 metres in 9.95 seconds in the

0:01:09 > 0:01:10Diamond League in Monaco.

0:01:10 > 0:01:16It's the first time Bolt has ran under ten seconds this season.

0:01:16 > 0:01:23Now, Mo Farah may be one of our most decorated Olympians

0:01:23 > 0:01:25but now a graphic designer from Swindon claims to have broken

0:01:25 > 0:01:26one of his world records.

0:01:26 > 0:01:30Sir Mo set the record for the 100 metre sack race in 2014

0:01:30 > 0:01:31with a time of 39.91 seconds.

0:01:31 > 0:01:36But yesterday, dad of two Stephen Wildish took

0:01:36 > 0:01:40on the challenge and hopped over the line in just over 28 seconds

0:01:40 > 0:01:42- look at him go! - smashing Mo's attempt.

0:01:42 > 0:01:44He's now waiting for his time to be officially verified in order

0:01:44 > 0:01:50to claim his new world record.

0:01:50 > 0:01:50Well

0:01:50 > 0:01:52Well done.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55Now, what's the most exciting thing you've ever found on a family walk?

0:01:55 > 0:01:57Well, 10-year-old Jude from America stumbled on something

0:01:57 > 0:01:58pretty extraordinary.

0:01:58 > 0:01:59He's been telling us about it.

0:01:59 > 0:02:03Back in November of last year, me and my family decided to go on a

0:02:03 > 0:02:04bike ride.

0:02:04 > 0:02:06So far, so ordinary, right?

0:02:06 > 0:02:10I went to go hide up in a canal and when I was running up the

0:02:10 > 0:02:12canal, I tripped on a tusk.

0:02:12 > 0:02:13You tripped on what?!

0:02:13 > 0:02:14On a tusk.

0:02:14 > 0:02:15A tusk?

0:02:15 > 0:02:17My face landed next to the bottom jaw.

0:02:17 > 0:02:19I looked further up when I saw another tusk.

0:02:19 > 0:02:20OK, we should explain.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23The thing that Jude had tripped over really was a tusk from an ancient

0:02:23 > 0:02:27fossil buried in the ground.

0:02:27 > 0:02:32It's from a creature 1.2 million years old called a stegomastodon.

0:02:32 > 0:02:39Stegomastodons were from the same family as elephants and mammoths.

0:02:39 > 0:02:48They would have roamed parts of the US up until 11,700 years ago.

0:02:48 > 0:02:51So, Jude called in the experts and they started a big project

0:02:51 > 0:02:52to get the fossil out safely.

0:02:52 > 0:02:54Peter Houde from New Mexico State University led the team.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56So how big a deal is the discovery?

0:02:56 > 0:02:59The fossil is probably about 1.2 million years old.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00This may be the only,

0:03:00 > 0:03:02only the second that was found in New Mexico.

0:03:02 > 0:03:07Great work, Jude!

0:03:07 > 0:03:09Next, to something you DON'T want to discover -

0:03:09 > 0:03:12we're talking head lice.

0:03:12 > 0:03:14But could your phone be giving you them?

0:03:14 > 0:03:21Some scientists say watching videos with your friends on your phone

0:03:21 > 0:03:23means your heads are touching a lot which increases your

0:03:23 > 0:03:24chances of getting them.

0:03:24 > 0:03:25But what exactly are they?

0:03:25 > 0:03:28This is a head louse and this is a nit, which is an egg.

0:03:28 > 0:03:30Don't worry, they're nothing to be embarrassed about.

0:03:30 > 0:03:32Ah, that's better.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35I know, your whole body just started to feel

0:03:35 > 0:03:37a little bit itchy, didn't it?

0:03:37 > 0:03:40Many people get head lice or nits.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43They're passed on by head-to-head contact and it's got nothing to do

0:03:43 > 0:03:44with having dirty hair.

0:03:44 > 0:03:47Other licey myths include...

0:03:47 > 0:03:48Lice can jump.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50That is not true.

0:03:50 > 0:03:52They're not that athletic and the best they can

0:03:52 > 0:03:53manage is a crawl.

0:03:53 > 0:03:55Look at this guy go!

0:03:55 > 0:03:58Lice prefer long hair.

0:03:58 > 0:04:00Wrong.

0:04:00 > 0:04:03Lice don't like sunlight so they hide close to

0:04:03 > 0:04:05the scalp and that's the same whether your

0:04:05 > 0:04:06hair is long or short.

0:04:06 > 0:04:08Some people say lice come from animals.

0:04:08 > 0:04:13That isn't true either.

0:04:13 > 0:04:16They only live on humans, no one knows where they came from but

0:04:16 > 0:04:18they've been around as far back as the Egyptians.

0:04:18 > 0:04:19Still feeling a bit itchy?

0:04:19 > 0:04:21Oh!

0:04:21 > 0:04:28Whoa!

0:04:28 > 0:04:29I'm itching now!

0:04:29 > 0:04:32Next, new plans have been announced to make flying drones safer.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35The UK Government wants owners to register their drones and take

0:04:35 > 0:04:36safety tests before flying them.

0:04:36 > 0:04:38"No fly" zones are also planned - stopping people from flying drones

0:04:38 > 0:04:41in places where they are dangerous - like near airports.

0:04:41 > 0:04:46The aim is to keep the public safe from the flying objects.

0:04:46 > 0:04:48And happy birthday to Prince George!

0:04:48 > 0:04:51It's his fourth birthday today and to celebrate the royal family

0:04:51 > 0:04:54have released this special photo.

0:04:54 > 0:04:57His mum and dad, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge

0:04:57 > 0:04:59say they are delighted with the photo.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02The family are on a tour of Poland and Germany at the moment.

0:05:02 > 0:05:04Have a great day, George!

0:05:04 > 0:05:06Next to football - with a bit of a twist.

0:05:06 > 0:05:10The rules are the same, players are the same

0:05:10 > 0:05:13and the pitch is the same - but it's all in the dark.

0:05:13 > 0:05:16And there's music.

0:05:16 > 0:05:22The whole point is to have plenty of fun and,

0:05:22 > 0:05:24England International Sue Smith, seemed to enjoy it.

0:05:24 > 0:05:28I loved it, it was so much fun and because the lights are out,

0:05:28 > 0:05:31I think it's great for maybe some of the young boys and girls that

0:05:31 > 0:05:32don't have confidence.

0:05:32 > 0:05:35So I think if you make a mistake, you don;t know who's done that

0:05:35 > 0:05:38mistake so it probably would've been quite good for me!

0:05:38 > 0:05:39Staying with football and the Australian team

0:05:39 > 0:05:42are being put through their paces ahead of the World Cup next week.

0:05:42 > 0:05:45We're talking about the robot World Cup of course,

0:05:45 > 0:05:46held in Nagoya, in Japan.

0:05:46 > 0:05:47The robo-footy competition is celebrating its 20th

0:05:47 > 0:05:50anniversary this year, and Australia is a key contender -

0:05:50 > 0:05:51they've taken the trophy five times.

0:05:51 > 0:05:53Should be an electrifying tournament!

0:05:53 > 0:05:54That's all from me, Newsround's back right

0:05:54 > 0:05:57here in a couple of hours - catch you then!

0:05:57 > 0:06:01Bye.
