0:00:13 > 0:00:14Good afternoon.

0:00:14 > 0:00:16First, to an accidental discovery by a 10-year-old,

0:00:16 > 0:00:17of a million year old fossil.

0:00:17 > 0:00:22Take a look this - it's incredible.

0:00:22 > 0:00:25Back in November of last year, me and my family to to go on a

0:00:25 > 0:00:28bike ride.

0:00:28 > 0:00:30So far, so ordinary. Right?

0:00:30 > 0:00:34I went to go hide in a canal, and when I was running up the canal,

0:00:34 > 0:00:36I tripped on a tusk.

0:00:36 > 0:00:37You tripped on a what?

0:00:37 > 0:00:38On a tusk.

0:00:38 > 0:00:39A tusk?

0:00:39 > 0:00:41My face landed next to the bottom jaw.

0:00:41 > 0:00:41I looked further up, and I saw another task.

0:00:43 > 0:00:45I looked further up, and I saw another tusk.

0:00:45 > 0:00:49OK, we should explain.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52The thing that Jude had tripped over it really was a tusk,

0:00:52 > 0:00:55from an ancient fossil buried in the ground.

0:00:55 > 0:00:57It is from a creature 1.2 million years old,

0:00:57 > 0:00:59called a stegomastodon.

0:00:59 > 0:01:02Stegomastodons were from the same family as elephants and mammoths.

0:01:02 > 0:01:04They would have roamed parts of the US up until

0:01:04 > 0:01:0711,700 years ago.

0:01:07 > 0:01:09So, Jude called in the experts, and they started a big

0:01:09 > 0:01:14project to get the fossil out safely.

0:01:14 > 0:01:16Peter Houde from New Mexico State University led the team.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19So, how big a deal is the discovery?

0:01:19 > 0:01:25The fossil is probably about 1.2 million years old.

0:01:25 > 0:01:29This may be only the second that was found in New Mexico.

0:01:29 > 0:01:31Great work, Jude!

0:01:31 > 0:01:34Now, Mo Farrah might be one of the fastest men on the planet,

0:01:34 > 0:01:38but now a dad of two claims to have broken one of his world records.

0:01:38 > 0:01:42Sir Mo set the record for the 100-metre sack race

0:01:42 > 0:01:47back in 2014 with a time of 39.91 seconds.

0:01:47 > 0:01:49But yesterday, Stephen Wildish did it in 28 seconds,

0:01:49 > 0:01:52smashing Mo's time.

0:01:52 > 0:01:54He's now waiting for it to be officially confirmed so

0:01:54 > 0:01:59he can claim his new world record.

0:01:59 > 0:02:01Next, another incredible acheivement - a cat who went

0:02:01 > 0:02:04on an extraordinary three-month trek, by accident.

0:02:04 > 0:02:10Here's Ayshah.

0:02:10 > 0:02:11Hey, Whiskers.

0:02:11 > 0:02:14He looks happy now in the arms of his owner, but this

0:02:14 > 0:02:15is what happened three months ago.

0:02:15 > 0:02:19He was on a trip in the Australian outback with his owners,

0:02:19 > 0:02:22a thousand kilometres away from home.

0:02:22 > 0:02:27But the caravan they were in broke down- and they were stuck for hours.

0:02:27 > 0:02:33And Whiskers escaped for a walk in the middle of the night.

0:02:33 > 0:02:34In the morning, his owners couldn't find him.

0:02:34 > 0:02:40They searched all day, but then eventually had to leave.

0:02:40 > 0:02:46Three months later the owners got an unexpected phone call.

0:02:46 > 0:02:52Whiskers was found!

0:02:52 > 0:02:55He'd been taken to a vet, who scanned a microchip which said

0:02:55 > 0:02:56who he belonged to.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59Now he's been reunited with his owners.

0:02:59 > 0:03:05It might be a while before he's allowed out on another trip.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07Next to football, with a bit of a twist.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10The rules, the pitch and the teams are the same,

0:03:10 > 0:03:13but there's one big difference.

0:03:13 > 0:03:17The BBC's Mike Bushell has this one.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29Well, we're all dressed up, our face paint's on, some more than

0:03:29 > 0:03:34others, admittedly, and all ready for kick-off, but at the moment,

0:03:34 > 0:03:37but at the moment, it seems just like an ordinary six-a-side game.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39All that changes, though, with a flick of a switch.

0:03:39 > 0:03:44WHISTLE BLASTS.

0:03:48 > 0:03:51It all started with glow badminton and glow squash,

0:03:51 > 0:03:55and then about two years ago, glow football started up, and has

0:03:55 > 0:03:59since spread right across the North and other parts of the country, too.

0:03:59 > 0:04:01I think it is just the combination of the three

0:04:01 > 0:04:03factors, playing football with your friends,

0:04:03 > 0:04:05the lights are off, face paint on, headbands on,

0:04:05 > 0:04:08the music is on, just a real party scene.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11It is part of a wider push by the UV sports organisation,

0:04:11 > 0:04:15Glow Active UK, which has helped start leagues at dozens of clubs.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18The girls can really show themselves with the way that they put their

0:04:18 > 0:04:19face paint on.

0:04:19 > 0:04:21They can show their personality that way.

0:04:21 > 0:04:22Oh, it's a save!

0:04:22 > 0:04:24So it stays level.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27The game is finely poised, the opposition are

0:04:27 > 0:04:30making a substitution.

0:04:30 > 0:04:37And what a substitution it was!

0:04:40 > 0:04:43Tackled, we've lost.

0:04:43 > 0:04:47That super sub made all the difference, as the lights go on,

0:04:47 > 0:04:48and all our face paints have run.

0:04:48 > 0:04:51But it is not a surprise who made the difference.

0:04:51 > 0:04:5394 caps for England, Sue Smith, her first experience of

0:04:53 > 0:04:54glow football.

0:04:54 > 0:04:56How was it for you, Sue?

0:04:56 > 0:04:57I absolutely loved it!

0:04:57 > 0:04:58It was so much fun.

0:04:58 > 0:05:01Because the lights are out, I think it is great for some of the

0:05:01 > 0:05:03young girls and boys that don't have confidence.

0:05:03 > 0:05:06So I think, if you make a mistake, you don't know who has

0:05:06 > 0:05:08done that mistake, so it would probably have

0:05:08 > 0:05:09been quite good for me.

0:05:09 > 0:05:13And me, I hope, when I managed to score an own goal.

0:05:13 > 0:05:15But it could have been anyone, as you hide behind

0:05:15 > 0:05:16your UV paint, which certainly makes for some interesting team.

0:05:21 > 0:05:26your UV paint, which certainly makes for some interesting team photos.

0:05:26 > 0:05:29And finally, happy birthday to Prince George!

0:05:29 > 0:05:32Its his fourth birthday today, and to celebrate, the Royal Family

0:05:32 > 0:05:36have released this special photo.

0:05:36 > 0:05:38His mum and dad, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge,

0:05:38 > 0:05:41say they are delighted with the photo.

0:05:41 > 0:05:45The whole family are on a tour of Poland and Germany at the moment.

0:05:45 > 0:05:51Have a great day, George!

0:05:51 > 0:05:52That's all from me.

0:05:52 > 0:05:54Newsround's back right here tomorrow morning with the Pitch Battle final

0:05:54 > 0:05:56results and the latest from the parathletics.
