:01:09. > :01:12.It's the first time in 99 years an eclipse like this has happened,
:01:13. > :01:14.and the whole event took around 90 minutes.
:01:15. > :01:16.In some places, darkness lasted for almost three minutes!

:01:24. > :01:27.When the moon started to creep up and block the sun, that alone
:01:28. > :01:33.Seeing the sun in the form of a crescent, which normally
:01:34. > :01:38.The real moment came up quickly, once the moon completely blocked
:01:39. > :01:43.the sun's surface the whole environment here changed.
:01:44. > :01:47.It became instantly darker, the temperature dropped drastically
:01:48. > :01:53.and everyone gathered together just in absolute awe.
:01:54. > :01:56.They were gasping, shouting "wow" and just laughing at the marvel
:01:57. > :02:01.But the true amazing part of this and what made the total solar
:02:02. > :02:05.eclipse so different from witnessing a partial eclipse was seeing
:02:06. > :02:08.how bright the corona - that's the ring of light -
:02:09. > :02:15.I think that is what everybody was so in awe of for those two
:02:16. > :02:18.minutes and 40 seconds, experiencing something that most
:02:19. > :02:25.And it really was a true moment of joy, it was amazing to see
:02:26. > :02:33.Yesterday we told you about a group of Scouts who'd travelled
:02:34. > :02:36.all the way to Yellowstone park in the US to get the best
:02:37. > :02:41.They'd made special pin hole cameras so they could watch it safely
:02:42. > :02:48.I'm Samuel, and we've just seen the eclipse,

:02:52. > :02:54.dropped and the light, it was just amazing, the ring
