:01:55. > :01:57.It's exactly six months to go before the start of the Glasgow 2014

:01:58. > :02:01.Commonwealth Games. Ahead of the Games, the Queen's Baton Relay has

:02:02. > :02:04.been making its way to all the nations and territories of the

:02:05. > :02:07.Commonwealth. There are 70 in total, and BBC Presenter Mark Beaumont has

:02:08. > :02:10.been following the baton on its journey. He's in destination number

:02:11. > :02:15.30 this, the Seychelles, a group of islands in the Indian Ocean.

:02:16. > :02:23.So, Mark, what is the aim of the relay? Good morning! The whole point

:02:24. > :02:27.is to build up to the Commonwealth Games. It is officially known as the

:02:28. > :02:31.curtain raiser. That is the invitation to the athletes to come

:02:32. > :02:34.and compete. In the months I have been travelling around, I have met a

:02:35. > :02:42.lot of those athletes already in training. Some of the highlights,

:02:43. > :02:47.through the Pacific Islands, these remote ones, and then coming here to

:02:48. > :02:55.Africa. Rwanda was amazing. It is the first time they have had the

:02:56. > :02:59.relay. Where will it go next? We're making our way south through the 18

:03:00. > :03:04.African Commonwealth nations. From here goes to Malawi, up through the

:03:05. > :03:13.Americas, Europe, and back to the UK. When does it come to the British

:03:14. > :03:23.Isles? The grand finale, the middle of May. Crossing into the border of

:03:24. > :03:29.Scotland on the 14th of June. With six months ago, the countdown is

:03:30. > :03:34.really on. -- with six months to go. Thank you so much for that. I

:03:35. > :03:44.think we are going to be seeing you again shortly. Thanks for that.

:03:45. > :03:48.In football, Manchester United may be on the verge of signing Juan Mata

:03:49. > :03:51.from Chelsea, but on the pitch their troubles continued last night. They

:03:52. > :03:54.lost the second leg of their league cup semifinal to Sunderland on

:03:55. > :04:02.penalties. Rafael missed the crucial kick, sending Sunderland through to

:04:03. > :04:09.the final to meet Man City. It's an incredible story. You can make a

:04:10. > :04:14.book from the game today. For the fans it was a great night. We didn't

:04:15. > :04:18.play well enough so. Sunderland deserve the credit.

:04:19. > :04:21.Finally there's lots of things you can make with paper, but one Chinese

:04:22. > :04:24.artist has taken found a very unusual use for it. Li Hongbo made

:04:25. > :04:28.these sculptures from thousands of sheets of paper. They appear firm at

:04:29. > :04:30.first, until this happens. They transform into very weird and

:04:31. > :04:37.wonderful shapes when stretched, almost like a slinky!

:04:38. > :04:42.That's all from me. Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.
