:00:00. > :00:08.It's Sunday afternoon, Ayshah here with the top stories you need to

:00:09. > :00:12.know. Coming up: we bring you one of the most extreme sports I've ever

:00:13. > :00:15.seen - Downhill Ice Cross! And a baby gorilla makes a

:00:16. > :00:23.remarkable recovery, after a tough start to life.

:00:24. > :00:27.First though, to the search for the Malaysia Airlines plane which lost

:00:28. > :00:31.all contact over two weeks ago. More and more countries are getting

:00:32. > :00:42.involved in the effort to try to find any sign of the aircraft.

:00:43. > :00:46.Satellite images have shown what appears to be debris floating in the

:00:47. > :00:49.sea, but so far no actual sighting has been confirmed. It's important

:00:50. > :00:53.to stress that a plane going missing is extremely rare. But why is the

:00:54. > :00:55.search proving to be so difficult? I've been looking at the huge

:00:56. > :00:59.challenges facing the investigation. Flying low over the South Indian

:01:00. > :01:02.Ocean, all eyes are on the water... The search has been focused here for

:01:03. > :01:05.the past four days. Satellite images showing objects in the water have

:01:06. > :01:08.made investigators think this might be the area where they will find the

:01:09. > :01:11.plane. We have eight planes in the area.

:01:12. > :01:16.Some from Australia and New Zealand and the United States. Visibility is

:01:17. > :01:19.key. The Australians are saying they are relying increasingly less on

:01:20. > :01:31.radar and simply looking out of the planes and scanning the vast ocean.

:01:32. > :01:42.But searching this vast area of ocean isn't easy. The search point

:01:43. > :01:45.is over 1500 miles off the coast of Western Australia. It means planes

:01:46. > :01:49.setting off from Perth have around a five hour journey just to get there

:01:50. > :01:53.- meaning they only have enough fuel to search for two hours before they

:01:54. > :01:57.need to turn back. The weather has also been a problem - rough seas,

:01:58. > :02:00.storms and strong winds are common in the area. To help the search,

:02:01. > :02:04.ships from America, Britain and China are on their way now too. It's

:02:05. > :02:07.not known if the objects in the satellite pictures are from the

:02:08. > :02:11.plane but they're the best clues investigators have so far.

:02:12. > :02:14.And just a reminder that If you're worried or upset about anything you

:02:15. > :02:21.see on the news, there's help and advice on our website.

:02:22. > :02:25.Next up, if you've ever got your homework back with red pen pointing

:02:26. > :02:27.out spelling mistakes, you might like the idea of this...

:02:28. > :02:31.A pen has been invented which vibrates when you spell something

:02:32. > :02:34.wrong. It uses a mechanism inside to work out what is being written. It's

:02:35. > :02:39.connected to an app that flashes to let you know when you've gone wrong.

:02:40. > :02:42.The pen uses normal ink refills but it does not need ink. Because there

:02:43. > :02:47.are no sensors here, it does not need special paper. It does not need

:02:48. > :02:56.paper at all. It will work in thin air.

:02:57. > :03:04.Sport now: England cricket captain Stuart Broad has said his players

:03:05. > :03:07.were put in danger when the umpires decided to play on during a

:03:08. > :03:10.thunderstorm. It was in England's first match of the World Twenty20

:03:11. > :03:13.cricket tournament, which ended in defeat. As their opponents New

:03:14. > :03:16.Zealand batted, huge flashes of lightning were seen in the night

:03:17. > :03:19.sky. The match was eventually called off, but because New Zealand scored

:03:20. > :03:23.their runs at a faster rate, England lost and are bottom of their group.

:03:24. > :03:29.Captain Broad says that safety should always come first.

:03:30. > :03:33.The health and safety of players and the crowd is very important. That

:03:34. > :03:41.seemed like threatening lightning to me. It does not change what we have

:03:42. > :03:48.to do as a team. We can take some good things from today. We must win

:03:49. > :03:52.our next games. Next: a sneak preview to hear from

:03:53. > :03:55.one of Team GB's newest stars. After becoming Britain's youngest Winter

:03:56. > :03:59.Paralympian and flying the flag for Team GB in Sochi, Millie Knight is

:04:00. > :04:02.back at school and caught up with Nel to tell her all about the

:04:03. > :04:11.experience. You can see the full report tomorrow morning but here's a

:04:12. > :04:17.clip from the interview. You were the flag bearer for Team GB. What

:04:18. > :04:25.was it like? I walked out and the crowd were

:04:26. > :04:33.roaring. It was amazing. To come top five was incredible. I was almost

:04:34. > :04:37.crying. I just thought while. And if the Winter Olympics and

:04:38. > :04:40.Paralympics all feels a bit like a distant memory, then I've got a real

:04:41. > :04:44.treat for you right now. This is the Ice Cross downhill world

:04:45. > :04:49.championship - one of the most extreme things I've ever seen. It's

:04:50. > :04:57.just been held in Quebec in Canada in front of crowds of over 100,000

:04:58. > :05:01.people. The icy course runs through the streets of the city and includes

:05:02. > :05:07.sharp turns, steep slopes and even sheer vertical drops. It was won by

:05:08. > :05:11.Austrian Marco Dallago. Last up, a baby gorilla, whose birth

:05:12. > :05:13.we featured on Newsround just over a week ago, has shown great

:05:14. > :05:17.improvement after suffering from pneumonia. The baby girl was born at

:05:18. > :05:20.a zoo in America by a rare animal caesarean section, as her mum was

:05:21. > :05:24.having trouble giving birth. She's still not been given a name yet, but

:05:25. > :05:34.her keepers at San Diego zoo are happy that she's well enough to come

:05:35. > :05:39.home from the hospital. It is a very exciting day. We feel

:05:40. > :05:48.confident about the baby's health. We brought her back. This is the

:05:49. > :05:52.first time the other animals have seen her.

:05:53. > :05:55.That is it from me but Ricky will be back tomorrow with that Millie

:05:56. > :05:57.Knight interview and all the day's top stories.

:05:58. > :06:01.Have a great day.
