:00:00. > :00:10.Hi. I'm Leah with your evening update. First, Mount Everest in

:00:11. > :00:14.Nepal is the biggest mountain in the world - but at the moment, no-one

:00:15. > :00:17.can climb it. On Friday, a disastrous avalanche killed 16 of

:00:18. > :00:23.the local mountain guides, known as Sherpas. Now the Sherpas are saying

:00:24. > :00:27.they don't want to climb over safety fears, and out of respect for the

:00:28. > :00:31.dead. Now for those looking to reach the highest point on Earth,

:00:32. > :00:35.everything's on hold. So just how important is the job of a Sherpa?

:00:36. > :00:39.It's almost impossible to climb Everest without a Sherpa, they are

:00:40. > :00:42.that important. The Sherpas I work with, some of them have climbed it

:00:43. > :00:47.17 or 18 times. They know it intimately. It's really hard work

:00:48. > :00:49.what they do, and it's very dangerous. I don't think they get

:00:50. > :00:54.the acknowledgement that they deserve. By our standards, they

:00:55. > :00:58.don't get paid particularly well, but by Nepalese standards, they get

:00:59. > :01:02.paid very well. Is it enough for risking their lives? That is a hard

:01:03. > :01:08.question to say. How do you put monetary value on risking your life?

:01:09. > :01:12.Check out the website to find out more about what the job of a Sherpa

:01:13. > :01:14.is like - and why they're so important for climbing the tallest

:01:15. > :01:17.mountains. Now, it's not often that you get a

:01:18. > :01:20.Wimbledon champion and Olympic gold medallist coming to your school. But

:01:21. > :01:25.that happened for kids in Dunblane today, as Andy Murray dropped in to

:01:26. > :01:28.say hello. He was awarded with a big honour called "the freedom of the

:01:29. > :01:32.city of Stirling". Andy got quite emotional about coming back home,

:01:33. > :01:35.and broke down in tears as he made a speech.

:01:36. > :01:39.This honour means a lot to me, so thank you very much for everyone who

:01:40. > :01:43.has come. Thank you very much for everyone who voted, and I apologise

:01:44. > :01:47.for this behaviour. APPLAUSE.

:01:48. > :01:55.I think everyone knows that I'm extremely proud...

:01:56. > :02:00...of where I come from. APPLAUSE.

:02:01. > :02:04.Afterwards, Andy spent an hour chatting to school kids all over the

:02:05. > :02:06.UK. He revealed what he's most proud of, and what music he listens to in

:02:07. > :02:16.the gym. I listen to music a lot. More when

:02:17. > :02:23.I'm in the gym then when I'm on the court.

:02:24. > :02:28.I think maybe the gold medal at the Olympics, because that is something

:02:29. > :02:34.I will never get the chance to do again.

:02:35. > :02:42.I love travelling. I've travelled to all the continents and been to loads

:02:43. > :02:43.of different countries. That's one thing I'm hugely grateful to tennis

:02:44. > :02:50.for. Well, after that, Ricky got to speak

:02:51. > :02:54.to the great man himself for Newsround. Tune in tomorrow morning

:02:55. > :03:00.at 7.40, where we'll have the full chat with the Wimbledon champ.
