:00:22. > :00:26.Last night there was a terror attack here at an Ariana Grande concert.

:00:27. > :00:33.There was an explosion at the venue as people were leaving.

:00:34. > :00:37.In this programme, we'll be explaining what happened,

:00:38. > :00:39.hearing from someone who was there and bringing you some

:00:40. > :00:41.of the messages of support from around the world.

:00:42. > :00:45.First of all here's Hayley with advice on what to do if this

:00:46. > :00:50.There's has been a serious attack in Manchester.

:00:51. > :00:54.It happened at a concert by Ariana Grande.

:00:55. > :00:59.Some people have lost their lives and others have been injured.

:01:00. > :01:02.Many more people came to help - offering those who were there lifts

:01:03. > :01:08.When things like this happen, it's totally normal

:01:09. > :01:12.To think things like, why did this happen?

:01:13. > :01:17.Could this happen to my family and friends?

:01:18. > :01:21.What's important to remember is that although events like this

:01:22. > :01:29.Worrying stories are often in the news because they don't

:01:30. > :01:34.So what should you do if you're feeling sad or anxious?

:01:35. > :01:38.You can speak to your parents, a teacher,

:01:39. > :01:43.They can reassure you and help you feel better.

:01:44. > :01:46.And remember when things like this happen, there are far more

:01:47. > :01:57.people who want to help, than want to cause harm.

:01:58. > :02:02.The attack at the Ariana Grande concert happened just over

:02:03. > :02:06.It's a popular venue where lots of big stars come to play.

:02:07. > :02:13.There's still a big area still closed off.

:02:14. > :02:15.You can see police activity behind me.

:02:16. > :02:18.We now know that 22 people died and 59 people

:02:19. > :02:22.The emergency services have been praised for getting

:02:23. > :02:25.to the Arena quickly, and there have been stories

:02:26. > :02:39.Here's Leah to find out how people have been helping.

:02:40. > :02:46.Amongst the confusion last night, lots of people in Manchester were

:02:47. > :02:52.helping each other out. Hotels like this one were helping people caught

:02:53. > :02:56.up in the attack. On social media, people offered up their spare rooms

:02:57. > :03:00.to anyone from the constructed couldn't get back home. And taxis in

:03:01. > :03:06.the area were offering up free rides to anyone who was stranded. Across

:03:07. > :03:13.the world, people have been sending messages of support. Taylor Swift

:03:14. > :03:20.wrote, my thoughts, prayers and tears for all those affected

:03:21. > :03:25.tonight. I am sending my love. Harry Styles said, I am heartbroken over

:03:26. > :03:29.what happened in Manchester tonight. The Queen has also expressed her

:03:30. > :03:35.sympathy and praised the emergency services. Prime Minister Theresa May

:03:36. > :03:40.said her thoughts are with the victims and their families. And we

:03:41. > :03:46.all, every single one of us, stands with the people of Manchester that

:03:47. > :03:52.terrible time. And US President Donald Trump called the attacker a

:03:53. > :03:56.loser. We stand in solidarity with the people of the United Kingdom.

:03:57. > :04:03.Emergency services and the police were on the scene very quickly and

:04:04. > :04:09.the Of Manchester Andy Burnham gave his response. They gave the best

:04:10. > :04:12.possible response to those who seek to divide us and it will be that

:04:13. > :04:20.spirit of Manchester that holds us together. Later tonight there will

:04:21. > :04:23.be a candlelit vigil in the city centre to remember those who lost

:04:24. > :04:27.their lives and those who were injured and to show the world that

:04:28. > :04:29.Manchester and its people will stand strong together.

:04:30. > :04:36.Well, thousands of people were at the concert.

:04:37. > :04:38.Earlier Jenny spoke to Kal who was there.

:04:39. > :04:44.It was after the encore and the lights came

:04:45. > :04:46.on and within seconds we heard this massive thud,

:04:47. > :04:50.presumed it was somebody dropping equipment, it wasn't until we sort

:04:51. > :04:53.a massive stampede of people trying to get to the exits that we knew

:04:54. > :05:00.Emergency services were so efficient,

:05:01. > :05:06.Taxis were giving out free rides as well.

:05:07. > :05:09.It goes to show that at times like these various solidarity.

:05:10. > :05:17.We all have to stand together and unite.

:05:18. > :05:20.It's something a lot of you might have been talking about today.

:05:21. > :05:23.We spoke to some pupils at a school in Manchester about how

:05:24. > :05:27.I think the best way to cope with this is to clear parents

:05:28. > :05:29.or an adult or a teacher, because they can get

:05:30. > :05:33.you through it and calm you down and explain it all to you.

:05:34. > :05:35.How did it make you feel when you heard the news?

:05:36. > :05:42.It felt sad because many people were injured, which is not good,

:05:43. > :05:45.and I just want to thank the people who all helped them

:05:46. > :05:49.Does it put you off going to the city centre?

:05:50. > :05:53.I don't think it should put me off but I am a little bit put off

:05:54. > :05:56.because they are trying to scare us we should show them we're not

:05:57. > :06:00.When you heard the news, how did it make you feel?

:06:01. > :06:04.I don't want anything like this to happen again.

:06:05. > :06:16.Now police are trying to find out exactly happened but they have said

:06:17. > :06:18.that the person responsible died in the attack.

:06:19. > :06:20.Lots of people are still being treated in hospitals

:06:21. > :06:24.In fact, many doctors and nurses offered to come

:06:25. > :06:34.So people here are coming together to do what they can.
