:00:00. > :00:11.Good afternoon. Your live with me, Jenny, at Newsround HQ

:00:12. > :00:18.And I'm coming to you live from Wimbledon, on day one, with all the

:00:19. > :00:23.tennis action. Let's start with the story that

:00:24. > :00:27.caused international outrage. Three journalists put in prison for seven

:00:28. > :00:31.years in Egypt after being accused of spreading false news. David

:00:32. > :00:36.Cameron has called the decision "appalling." He's not the only one

:00:37. > :00:40.who has criticised the way Egypt has gone about things. These three

:00:41. > :00:46.journalists are facing a long time in prison. The Egyptian authorities

:00:47. > :00:50.accused them of spreading false news and supporting the Muslim

:00:51. > :00:55.Brotherhood, the group that was in charged in Egypt until 2013. The men

:00:56. > :01:00.work for Al Jazeera, based in Qatar, which broadcasts around the world.

:01:01. > :01:03.It is banned from operating in Egypt because Egyptian authorities claim

:01:04. > :01:07.it has broadcast reports that support the Muslim Brotherhood. The

:01:08. > :01:13.three men have always denied the accusations. We have tried to give a

:01:14. > :01:18.fair and balanced picture of what is going on in Egypt. It is infuriating

:01:19. > :01:24.to think that Egypt could go to this extreme to try and stop reporting,

:01:25. > :01:31.fair reporting in the country. The Prime Minister of Australia appealed

:01:32. > :01:34.for the men to be released. As an Australian journalist he would not

:01:35. > :01:40.have supported the Muslim Brotherhood, he would simply have

:01:41. > :01:47.reported on the Muslim Brotherhood and a free and vigorous media are

:01:48. > :01:50.good for democracy, good for security, good for stability.

:01:51. > :01:52.Egyptian officials say the Muslim Brotherhood is a dangerous

:01:53. > :01:55.organisation and that the journalists broke the law. The

:01:56. > :01:59.journalists say they will fight the decision to lock them up. For now,

:02:00. > :02:03.they are stuck in this high-security prison. Moving on. In the last hour

:02:04. > :02:09.the lawyer for a woman in Sudan, who had been put in prison for refusing

:02:10. > :02:13.to change religions say she has been set free. Meriam Ibrahim made

:02:14. > :02:21.headlines last month when she was put in prison while pregnant. She

:02:22. > :02:24.was put in jail for refusing to her dad's religion, Islam. The country

:02:25. > :02:28.has reversed its decision after criticism from around the world.

:02:29. > :02:32.Now, it is the very first day of Wimbledon. One of four major tennis

:02:33. > :02:37.tournaments each year and Andy Murray has already been in action.

:02:38. > :02:41.Ricky is there with all the latest. Thank you very much. Yes, it has

:02:42. > :02:45.been another busy day. It has been incredibly exciting. I have been

:02:46. > :02:50.enjoying watching all the tennis action on day one. Earlier today you

:02:51. > :02:54.would have seen on Murray Mound loads of people watching the action.

:02:55. > :03:01.They were here to see Andy Murray's first match. He was playing Darren

:03:02. > :03:06.Gough and Murray won the match -- Goffin. Murray won the match. He's

:03:07. > :03:11.on his way to regaining that title. Can he go all the way? I have spoken

:03:12. > :03:17.to some kids to find out what they think of Murray. I think he has good

:03:18. > :03:22.chances. I am not sure if he'll win though. I think he'll win it. Of

:03:23. > :03:28.course he will! I don't think he will. Nadal is playing so well that

:03:29. > :03:34.he's, I think he's going to get to the semis. Is he a big deal in the

:03:35. > :03:38.States? Yes. A lot of people know him and a lot of people want him to

:03:39. > :03:41.win as well. He's one of the best players out there. What is so good

:03:42. > :03:47.about him? Everything. The way he hits it. Everything he does is good.

:03:48. > :03:52.Come on, Andy! Andy Murray is a big pull for fans.

:03:53. > :03:56.John Watson is with me now. Andy Murray - was it a confident win

:03:57. > :04:00.today? Definitely. To come through in straight sets - that is good. He

:04:01. > :04:04.can conserve energy. The first two sets he took easily. The third was

:04:05. > :04:10.more difficult. He proved too strong in the end. What about the draw - a

:04:11. > :04:14.good one? He will avoid some of the big names until later in the

:04:15. > :04:19.competition. Avoiding any major upsets it will be a Djokovic

:04:20. > :04:24.semi-final and Nadal in the final. We have lost a couple of BRITS

:04:25. > :04:28.today. Yes -- Brits today. Yes we have.

:04:29. > :04:34.We lost James Ward - disappointment for him. There are seven British

:04:35. > :04:41.players playing in total today. Fingers crossed we could have more

:04:42. > :04:45.joining Andy in the second round. Make sure you watch Wimbledon

:04:46. > :04:49.tomorrow. For now, it is back to you, Jen. There's absolutely loads

:04:50. > :04:54.of stuff on Wimbledon on the website. You can find out what makes

:04:55. > :04:57.Wimbledon different and test yourself with some top tennis

:04:58. > :05:18.quizzes. That is all I have time for today. See you tomorrow. Goodbye.

:05:19. > :05:22.It's official. Some people just don't get it. Blah, blah, blah.
