:00:17. > :00:22.Hi there, check your watches. I make it just past five. Sonali and

:00:22. > :00:24.Ore here live - you're watching Newsround. We've got all the day's

:00:24. > :00:31.top stories for you, including... The bionic fingers that are

:00:31. > :00:37.transforming one girl's life. Plus the prince's trek - a brand

:00:37. > :00:43.new film of Prince Harry's arctic But before all of that, explosions

:00:43. > :00:46.and gunfire are still rocking the capital of Libya. Yesterday it

:00:46. > :00:50.looked like Colonel Gaddafi was about to be kicked out after 40

:00:50. > :00:54.years in charge of the North African country. Rebels have been

:00:54. > :00:57.fighting his men for six months and many had begun to celebrate. But

:00:57. > :01:07.today, there's been more fierce fighting in Tripoli. The BBC's

:01:07. > :01:07.

:01:07. > :01:11.Matthew Price had to hide in a basement to escape the violence.

:01:11. > :01:16.There are now sustained bursts of gunfire. It is still some distance

:01:16. > :01:22.away, but it is clear that there is still fighting continuing on the

:01:22. > :01:26.ground. Impossible to say whether it is pro-Gaddafi forces pushing

:01:26. > :01:30.back rebel forces or vice versa. So what's changed over the past 24

:01:30. > :01:33.hours? Well yesterday, the rebels said they'd arrested one of Colonel

:01:33. > :01:38.Gaddaffi's sons. But here he is, travelling around Tripoli, clearly

:01:38. > :01:41.not under arrest - and insisting his family will never surrender.

:01:41. > :01:45.The rebels say they've surrounded Colonel Gaddafi's base - but no-one

:01:45. > :01:49.knows if he's even inside. Right now, it looks like the rebels will

:01:49. > :01:54.have to be prepared for another long fight. So that's the very

:01:54. > :01:58.latest - and it's a very confusing and chaotic time over there. But if

:01:58. > :02:04.you want to learn more about what's going on in Libya, head over to the

:02:04. > :02:08.Newsround website - it's got Next, a 15-year-old schoolgirl with

:02:08. > :02:12.a pretty amazing new gadget. And we're not talking an MP3 player or

:02:12. > :02:14.the latest games console. This one is far more impressive - she's

:02:14. > :02:18.become the youngest person in Europe to be fitted with bionic

:02:18. > :02:23.fingers. I didn't think it would move the

:02:23. > :02:26.way it does and that I would have such good use out of it. Simple

:02:26. > :02:34.things like writing or using a knife and fork used to be pretty

:02:34. > :02:40.hard for Chloe. Not any more. are some sensors inside, but I

:02:40. > :02:45.don't really know how it works. Chloe lost her fingers as a child

:02:45. > :02:55.after she was really ill. Up until a few weeks ago she had to make do

:02:55. > :02:57.

:02:57. > :03:01.with this rubber hand. It didn't move and it was really frustrating.

:03:01. > :03:03.People used to stare when I was walking down the corridor and shout

:03:03. > :03:07.out things. Fortunately, technology is getting

:03:07. > :03:12.better and better. Last year we told you about Patrick, who became

:03:12. > :03:15.the youngest person in the world to get a bionic arm. Scientists are

:03:16. > :03:19.creating robotic limbs that are more and more like the real thing.

:03:19. > :03:28.The trouble is that these gadgets don't come cheap. Chloe's family

:03:28. > :03:32.paid 38,000 for her new hand. is amazing what she can do with it.

:03:32. > :03:38.We would go out as a family and people would stare for the wrong

:03:38. > :03:41.reasons, but they stare now in amazement. With the summer holidays

:03:41. > :03:44.nearly at an end, there's just enough time for Chloe to practice

:03:44. > :03:48.her new moves before she goes back to school. I think there will be

:03:48. > :03:51.staring but I don't care because I really like it. Great stuff, Chloe.

:03:51. > :03:55.And if you want more inspiring stories, then you're in the right

:03:55. > :03:58.place. Earlier this year, Prince Harry joined a group of wounded

:03:58. > :04:03.servicemen. Their mission? To trek to the North Pole. And tonight, we

:04:03. > :04:05.get to see their full story. The men were all seriously injured

:04:05. > :04:09.fighting in Afghanistan. But they managed to endure temperatures of

:04:09. > :04:13.minus 45 degrees, sleep on ice and drag a 100kg sledge with them the

:04:14. > :04:22.whole way. The task took weeks, and the men are hoping to raise more

:04:22. > :04:26.than 2 million to help other injured servicemen. Everyone's

:04:27. > :04:34.helping everybody, it's the only way to do it. I'm standing on a

:04:34. > :04:41.floating ocean. It is quite hard, we're not making a lot of ground.

:04:41. > :04:44.This is really cold. This place is Let's catch up with some of the

:04:44. > :04:47.kids affected by Japan's massive earthquake and tsunami now. It's

:04:47. > :04:50.almost six months since the disaster, which was made even worse

:04:50. > :04:59.by explosions at a nuclear power plant. Now children there are

:04:59. > :05:04.asking for more to be done to make Total devastation - as the tsunami

:05:04. > :05:06.hit land, it swallowed up whole towns, killing thousands of people.

:05:06. > :05:09.The waves slammed into the Fukushima nuclear plant. As

:05:09. > :05:14.potentially deadly radiation leaked out, around 100,000 people were

:05:14. > :05:18.forced from their homes. Life is still not back to normal - and

:05:18. > :05:21.being a child there has been tough. In some areas, it's still not safe

:05:21. > :05:30.to play outside, so kids have to spend lots of the time stuck

:05:30. > :05:33.indoors. Lots of children have written to the government, they

:05:33. > :05:37.want more help. For kids in Fukushima, you can't

:05:37. > :05:47.play outside due to the radiation, so you get into fights with friends.

:05:47. > :05:48.

:05:48. > :05:50.We just want to tell them how this is affecting us negatively.

:05:50. > :05:54.Radiation experts have been trying to get schools cleaned up again,

:05:54. > :05:56.ready for pupils to start the new term in a few weeks' time. They're

:05:56. > :06:00.spraying down buildings, re-filling swimming pools and even digging up

:06:00. > :06:04.playgrounds that might have poisons in the soil. But it will still be a

:06:05. > :06:08.long time until the area gets the all-clear.

:06:08. > :06:10.Today has been a sad day for Arsenal football fans, as a star

:06:11. > :06:16.midfielder has waved goodbye to the Gunners, and said hello, Manchester

:06:16. > :06:20.City for about 24 million. Go on, say goodbye. Yes, au revoir, Samir

:06:20. > :06:22.Nasri, who is on his way to Manchester for a medical and to

:06:22. > :06:26.finalise the deal. The Frenchman was one of Arsenal's best players

:06:26. > :06:28.last season, but for ages it's looked like he would be part of

:06:28. > :06:38.Manchester City's big summer spending spree. Now he's just got

:06:38. > :06:39.

:06:39. > :06:44.Since Saturday night, there's been lots of chat about whether the new

:06:44. > :06:48.X Factor judges were any good. More than 10 million people tuned in to

:06:48. > :06:52.see how Gary, Kelly, Tulisa and old boy Louis would get on. But how do

:06:52. > :06:59.they think they did? Ricky grabbed a quick word with the N-Dubz girl

:06:59. > :07:04.herself. I knew I was going to enjoy it, but

:07:04. > :07:08.I'm surprised at how passionate I have become about it. Did your foam

:07:08. > :07:13.blow up at the weekend, I bet your mum and dad and everybody is really

:07:13. > :07:20.excited for you. I was at the V- Festival, on the tour bus, and my

:07:20. > :07:24.battery died. Thank God, because I did not have to go through all of

:07:24. > :07:30.the messages. Two days later, I turned on my phone. And it was

:07:30. > :07:33.We'll just finish up with one teenager who probably won't ever

:07:33. > :07:37.have to audition in front of Tulisa or anyone on X Factor. Why? Because

:07:37. > :07:39.he's just won a part in the hit US show Glee. Damian McGinty from

:07:39. > :07:42.Londonderry in Northern Ireland was chosen from 40,000 hopefuls who

:07:42. > :07:49.entered the reality TV show The Glee Project. He will now get to

:07:49. > :07:52.appear in seven episodes of the third series. I think he's excited.

:07:52. > :07:55.That's it. If you have ever wondered what it looks like inside
