:02:04. > :02:11.But it's not just the rubbish down there that's the only problem.
:02:12. > :02:14.The water is really cold, so when you jump in you might get
:02:15. > :02:16.something called shock, which means you might die...

:02:19. > :02:20.2000 miles of canals, rivers, reservoirs and docks
:02:21. > :02:28.They want children to be aware of the unseen dangers in the water.
:02:29. > :02:31.I know it looks really warm, and it's really warm today,
:02:32. > :02:35.but it is really cold and you might catch your breath,
:02:36. > :02:37.and that might cause you to drink in some of that water.
:02:38. > :02:43.You might get a tummy bug from drinking some of it or having
:02:44. > :02:45.it around your body, and you wouldn't want that,
:02:46. > :02:48.especially not in the summer holidays when it's so nice outside.
:02:49. > :02:51.Despite knowing the dangers, on a hot day like this
:02:52. > :02:52.there still are some people who take the risk
:02:53. > :03:00.There are, really, loads of ways that you can enjoy the canals.
:03:01. > :03:04.You can go for a walk along the towpath, you can go swimming
:03:05. > :03:07.in your local swimming pool or even in a lido,
:03:08. > :03:10.which is outdoors, and you can join an outdoor swimming club
:03:11. > :03:12.if you want to go swimming outdoors as well.
:03:13. > :03:14.Even though it's really hot, try and stay away
:03:15. > :03:23.Find another way to cool off and have fun in a safe way.
:03:24. > :03:27.Hundreds of people get into trouble in canals every year across the UK,
:03:28. > :03:31.but the hope is lots of you will now be put off from taking a dip

:03:42. > :03:44.of people who live there - but it's also had a huge impact

:03:52. > :03:54.displaced, so some people are helping get them back

:04:12. > :04:17.A massive oil rig which has been stranded on a beach on the west
:04:18. > :04:19.coast of Scotland for two weeks has been successfully
:04:20. > :04:24.But how did it end up there in the first place?
:04:25. > :04:31.It's one of the more unusual things to be found washed up on a beach.
:04:32. > :04:33.But this huge oil rig, which is used to drill
:04:34. > :04:36.for oil in the seabed, was blown on to this beach
:04:37. > :04:42.It's called the Transocean Winner and was being moved from Norway
:04:43. > :04:45.to Malta when stormy weather hit and it became separated
:04:46. > :04:47.from the boat that was pulling it along.
:04:48. > :04:50.The oil rig weighs a huge 17,000 tonnes, which is equal to the weight
:04:51. > :05:02.of 28 Airbus A380s - the biggest planes in the world.
:05:03. > :05:07.It was carrying 280 tonnes of diesel oil when it ran aground
:05:08. > :05:09.but in the last couple of days, salvage teams have managed to move
:05:10. > :05:17.Some of the oil did escape when the rig was washed ashore,
:05:18. > :05:24.Environmental groups have been worried that more oil could leak
:05:25. > :05:27.and cause pollution to the wildlife there and affect the beach,
:05:28. > :05:32.which is popular with tourists and surfers.
:05:33. > :05:36.Once the rig is moved clear, it will be checked for damage before
:05:37. > :05:39.the company can decide whether it can be repaired
