0:03:18 > 0:03:21When I grow up, I want to be a teacher so I can

0:03:21 > 0:03:27help other children.

0:03:27 > 0:03:29Now, some of you are already back at school -

0:03:29 > 0:03:32but for others, the summer holiday is only just coming to an end,

0:03:32 > 0:03:35and some may be a little worried about starting high school

0:03:35 > 0:03:42for the first time.

0:03:42 > 0:03:45It can be a little nerve-racking, but don't worry - these guys

0:03:45 > 0:03:47sent us some top tips, to help you out.

0:03:47 > 0:03:50When it is a Friday, don't act excited because the teachers

0:03:50 > 0:03:53will more likely keep you later, so you miss your bus,

0:03:53 > 0:03:55so you have to stay at school later.

0:03:55 > 0:03:57If you're feeling nervous, you should go and talk to someone

0:03:57 > 0:04:00because that's what I did in the first couple of weeks,

0:04:00 > 0:04:03and it made me feel a lot more confident about it all.

0:04:03 > 0:04:04Don't feel stressed.

0:04:04 > 0:04:06It's going to be bigger than primary school,

0:04:06 > 0:04:09and it takes a while to get used to it, but after a while you

0:04:09 > 0:04:11will get used to it.

0:04:11 > 0:04:13Be loud and confident with your answer, instead

0:04:13 > 0:04:19of just being like, oh, is it this?

0:04:19 > 0:04:21Behave.

0:04:21 > 0:04:23Do your homework.

0:04:23 > 0:04:32Do as the teacher asks.

0:04:32 > 0:04:35Try and make as many new friends who do not go

0:04:35 > 0:04:37to your primary as you can.

0:04:37 > 0:04:38On the first day, don't be by yourself.

0:04:38 > 0:04:40Go and find new people, make new friends.

0:04:40 > 0:04:42First impressions of teachers are really important

0:04:42 > 0:04:44because the teacher will base how your behaviour is off

0:04:44 > 0:04:45that first impression.

0:04:45 > 0:04:48And you don't have a first impression twice, so you should

0:04:48 > 0:04:49behave really well.

0:04:49 > 0:04:51That's all from the team for now, Newsround's back

0:04:51 > 0:04:52right here at 8.15am.
