:00:07. > :00:10.Hi, I'm Ricky with your evening Newsround update.

:00:11. > :00:14.First to Ukraine in Eastern Europe, where the former president is on the

:00:15. > :00:17.run from police who want to arrest him. President Yanukovych was thrown

:00:18. > :00:22.out over the weekend following months of protests against his ties

:00:23. > :00:26.with Russia. Things are now much calmer in the capital, Kiev, where

:00:27. > :00:30.people are mourning those who died in the violent demonstrations. Head

:00:31. > :00:34.to the website for lots more on this story, including Nel's report on the

:00:35. > :00:37.events of the past week and a picture gallery telling you how the

:00:38. > :00:40.protests came about. Next, Team GB's athletes have just

:00:41. > :00:44.arrived home from Sochi after equalling Britain's best medal haul

:00:45. > :00:48.at any Winter Games. They have been promised extra funding for the next

:00:49. > :00:51.few years because they did so well. All day on the website, you've been

:00:52. > :01:17.telling us how the games have inspired you.

:01:18. > :01:22.Be careful, Hana! Thanks for all those comments.

:01:23. > :01:26.Gadget makers are showing off their latest designs at the Mobile World

:01:27. > :01:29.Congress in Spain. There's plenty of wearable tech like smartwatches on

:01:30. > :01:33.show, with the likes of Samsung launching new designs. And this

:01:34. > :01:36.year, there is a big focus on affordable smartphones for the

:01:37. > :01:40.developing world, like this Firefox phone which will cost around ?15.

:01:41. > :01:45.Radio 1 gadget guru Jonathan Blake sent us this message - from his

:01:46. > :01:49.smartphone, of course. This is the place to come to see the

:01:50. > :01:52.latest technology before it hits the shops. There's smartphones on

:01:53. > :01:55.display here which are the most powerful, fastest and biggest we've

:01:56. > :01:58.seen yet, but also many cheaper phones, because companies are trying

:01:59. > :02:03.to appeal to the developing world, places where many people can't

:02:04. > :02:06.afford an expensive smartphone. That's one of the big themes this

:02:07. > :02:09.year. Also, wearable technology. We've heard about smartwatches

:02:10. > :02:13.before, but companies have struggled to get people to buy them in big

:02:14. > :02:18.numbers, so they're pushing those, too.

:02:19. > :02:21.Last up, what do you do when some drongo nicks your mango? That's what

:02:22. > :02:26.a town in Australia is wondering after theives pinched a

:02:27. > :02:29.ten-metre-high model of the fruit! The Big Mango tourist attraction was

:02:30. > :02:34.stolen overnight using cranes in Bowen, a town famous for its

:02:35. > :02:36.mangoes. It's one of over 150 super-size sculptures across the

:02:37. > :02:39.country. Officials are confident that the mango will be found,

:02:40. > :02:43.because it's going to be pretty difficult to hide it for long. Let's

:02:44. > :02:47.hope their mango search isn't "fruitless"! As you can see, the Big

:02:48. > :02:50.Mango has gone missing. It was definitely here yesterday, and when

:02:51. > :02:54.I came to work this morning, they've informed me that the Big Mango has

:02:55. > :02:58.gone missing. So I've come out and, true enough, it's no longer there.

:02:59. > :03:01.That's all from me. Newsround is back in the morning.
