:00:57. > :00:59.Acts like Little Mix, Jess Glynne, James Bay and Coldplay are singing

:01:00. > :01:02.alongside Rihanna, who's nominated for best international female

:01:03. > :01:07.and Justin Bieber who's up for the best international male award.

:01:08. > :01:21.including Album of the Year, but she's got tough competition.

:01:22. > :01:25.So, what makes the Brits one of the biggest nights in music?

:01:26. > :01:27.The Brit Awards started almost 40 years ago in 1977,

:01:28. > :01:30.as part of celebrations to honour

:01:31. > :01:38.Back then, it was called the British Record Industry Britannia Awards

:01:39. > :01:42.and it was shown on TV in black-and-white.

:01:43. > :01:44.Throughout the years, the Brit Awards have had

:01:45. > :01:51.Like the iconic outfits, lots of different presenters,

:01:52. > :01:54.legendary performances and, of course,

:01:55. > :01:56.there's one thing that everyone wants,

:01:57. > :01:59.their hands on a famous Brit statue.

:02:00. > :02:01.But as the stars get ready for this year,

:02:02. > :02:05.here are some fun facts about the star-studded ceremony.

:02:06. > :02:07.This year for the first time ever,

:02:08. > :02:11.all 13 categories will have their very own unique statue.

:02:12. > :02:15.There will be 15,000 glasses for the stars to drink from,

:02:16. > :02:19.5500kg of ice to keep their drinks cool,

:02:20. > :02:23.that is around the same weight as an African bush elephant.

:02:24. > :02:25.Oh, and if the stars get hungry,

:02:26. > :02:28.there are 60 chefs working in kitchen.

:02:29. > :02:39.Man, you have got to love the Brit Awards.

:02:59. > :03:01.after being repaired at Warwick Castle in England.

:03:02. > :03:04.It's the largest missile launcher of its kind in the world.

:03:05. > :03:12.It's made of wood. It's got a big wheel and a stick.

:03:13. > :03:20.And it launches, like, big balls that are on fire.

:03:21. > :03:23.Allow me to introduce you to the world's largest seize

:03:24. > :03:30.engine, a huge catapult called a trebuchet.

:03:31. > :03:32.Our machine is called Ursula, the bear.

:03:33. > :03:35.She is designed to destory castles, towns and villages.

:03:36. > :03:40.She stands at 18 metres tall and she weighs 22 tonnes.

:03:41. > :03:44.The shots we launch from our machine would weigh around 150 kilograms.

:03:45. > :03:50.Imagine two huge washing machines being thrown at you at 140mph.

:03:51. > :03:54.This machine has to fire every six minutes, so my men must run up these

:03:55. > :03:58.If the sun is pouring through the slats of the wheels

:03:59. > :04:01.and they're looking at it, they're going to get dizzy.

:04:02. > :04:04.And if they get sick, well, what comes out

:04:05. > :04:34.Meet Jabba the hedgehog, he's got a big problem

:04:35. > :04:36.because he's three times the size of an average hedgehog.

:04:37. > :04:39.He was accidentally over-fed during the winter,

:04:40. > :04:41.by the people whose garden he visited.

:04:42. > :04:43.He's now on a strict diet of cat biscuits

:04:44. > :04:45.at the Oak and Furrows Wildlife Rescue Centre.

:04:46. > :04:48.When he's slim again he can go back into the wild.
