0:00:03 > 0:00:06Hi, guys, I'm Naz and this is Newsround.

0:00:06 > 0:00:08Here's what's coming up.

0:00:08 > 0:00:09Hi, Newsround.

0:00:09 > 0:00:11I'm Billy Morgan, professional snowboarder, and I just

0:00:11 > 0:00:14won a bronze medal at the Winter Olympics.

0:00:14 > 0:00:17We talk to an Olympian straight off the slopes.

0:00:17 > 0:00:21England's women aim for glory.

0:00:21 > 0:00:29And Jack tells us his inspiring story.

0:00:34 > 0:00:36First up, medal news for Team GB.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39And overnight there was a bronze for Great Britain,

0:00:39 > 0:00:43making this our most successful Winter Games ever!

0:00:43 > 0:00:46Billy Morgan took third place in the Big Air event in South Korea.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49Take a look.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52I'm super happy, I never came into this contest thinking I'd

0:00:52 > 0:00:53walk away with a medal.

0:00:53 > 0:00:56I was really happy to get into the finals so,

0:00:56 > 0:00:58yeah, over the moon to walk away with a medal.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00So, let's take a look back at Billy's win.

0:01:00 > 0:01:02The second to last day of the Winter Olympics

0:01:02 > 0:01:06and Billy Morgan was the hero.

0:01:06 > 0:01:10It was a chance for the big jumpers to show off their skills

0:01:10 > 0:01:12on their snowboards in the Big Air event in South Korea.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15A huge 49-metre ramp stands in front of Billy and medal glory.

0:01:15 > 0:01:19Complicated tricks and a nice clean landing are what's needed

0:01:19 > 0:01:21to impress the judges.

0:01:21 > 0:01:25He'd only just qualified for the final but on his

0:01:25 > 0:01:28second jump, he did this.

0:01:28 > 0:01:29COMMENTATOR:And he holds it up.

0:01:29 > 0:01:35Yes!

0:01:35 > 0:01:38It was huge and he put the nose grab on it, the hardest grab.

0:01:38 > 0:01:39Yes, Billy!

0:01:39 > 0:01:41That left one last chance to secure a spot

0:01:41 > 0:01:42in the medal positions.

0:01:42 > 0:01:43Billy Morgan, yes!

0:01:43 > 0:01:44Oh, yes!

0:01:44 > 0:01:46Billy Morgan with a double frontside triple 14.

0:01:46 > 0:01:50That is massive, that is absolutely huge.

0:01:50 > 0:01:5485.5.

0:01:54 > 0:01:57Billy Morgan moves into bronze medal position and it is a very

0:01:57 > 0:01:59long and nervous wait.

0:01:59 > 0:02:03Canada's Max Parrow was his biggest threat

0:02:03 > 0:02:06for the bronze medal.

0:02:06 > 0:02:09But he had a bit of a nightmare and crashed out on his final jump.

0:02:09 > 0:02:11So Billy did it!

0:02:11 > 0:02:14An injury last year meant he almost missed out on the Games.

0:02:14 > 0:02:19But lots of hard work meant that instead, he helped Team GB come home

0:02:19 > 0:02:21with a fifth medal to make it their best performance

0:02:21 > 0:02:24at a Winter Olympics ever.

0:02:24 > 0:02:29So, does he have any tips for any of you guys who fancy

0:02:29 > 0:02:31competing in the Games one day?

0:02:31 > 0:02:33My tips for getting into snowboarding are find out

0:02:33 > 0:02:36where your local dry slope or snow dome is and get down there

0:02:36 > 0:02:38and just start having fun, you know?

0:02:38 > 0:02:40Snowboarding's such a fun sport, there's so much

0:02:40 > 0:02:43you could do with it that I think everyone should try.

0:02:43 > 0:02:46So if you haven't done it yet, get down to your local dry slope

0:02:46 > 0:02:48or snow dome and give it a shot.

0:02:48 > 0:02:49I'm sure you'll love it.

0:02:49 > 0:02:50Well done, Billy!

0:02:50 > 0:02:53And staying on the slopes - a furry intruder stole the headlines

0:02:53 > 0:02:55during the snowboarding giant slalom competition.

0:02:55 > 0:02:57Check out this brave squirrel narrowly

0:02:57 > 0:02:59avoiding a collison with Austrian Daniela Ulbing

0:02:59 > 0:03:07on her run.

0:03:07 > 0:03:10The squirrel seemed to appear from nowhere at speed and missed

0:03:10 > 0:03:12the snowboarder by centimetres.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15How close was that!

0:03:15 > 0:03:17The squirrel which just fine.

0:03:17 > 0:03:20Next here on Newsround, we love hearing about your amazing lives,

0:03:20 > 0:03:22so we've travelled the country to hear some of your

0:03:22 > 0:03:23inspiring stories.

0:03:23 > 0:03:26One of the people we met was Jack ? watch this.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29I have ADHD, dyspraxia and autism.

0:03:29 > 0:03:31I have problems communicating with children.

0:03:31 > 0:03:34And making friends.

0:03:34 > 0:03:35Hello.

0:03:35 > 0:03:37My name's Jack.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41I'm ten years old and when I was little, I was not able to speak.

0:03:41 > 0:03:43And I had speech and language therapy, but that

0:03:43 > 0:03:44didn't really help me.

0:03:44 > 0:03:48I used to do head-banging whenever I wanted something.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50I had to wear a red solid helmet.

0:03:50 > 0:03:53It was just so sad for me.

0:03:53 > 0:03:56I just hated it.

0:03:56 > 0:03:59My first music lesson, a singing teacher was playing

0:03:59 > 0:04:03the piano and then I started to sing...

0:04:03 > 0:04:04# La-la-la #.

0:04:04 > 0:04:05I was like, oh, my God!

0:04:05 > 0:04:07I can speak!

0:04:07 > 0:04:10But basically, I had to learn a word by singing it,

0:04:10 > 0:04:11and then speaking it.

0:04:11 > 0:04:15So once I've got a word, I've got it for basically like life.

0:04:15 > 0:04:17Music really relaxes me, because when I'm getting

0:04:17 > 0:04:22all stressed, it's like someone's putting a spell on me that I can,

0:04:22 > 0:04:24like, music makes me so happy.

0:04:24 > 0:04:29If there is any other children like me who have problems speaking,

0:04:29 > 0:04:34find something that will relax you, like, for example, drawing,

0:04:34 > 0:04:36or music or anything that will relax you.

0:04:36 > 0:04:43Now I start speaking, my mum says that I never stop speaking.

0:04:43 > 0:04:46And I think that's because I need to make up for all the years

0:04:46 > 0:04:54when I wasn't speaking.

0:04:54 > 0:04:56Jack, you are great.

0:04:56 > 0:04:59England's women are still on course for a second Grand Slam

0:04:59 > 0:05:00in a row in the Six Nations.

0:05:00 > 0:05:03The Red Roses made it three wins out of three,

0:05:03 > 0:05:04scoring seven tries against Scotland.

0:05:04 > 0:05:06This try by Ellie Kildunne secured England's bonus point before

0:05:06 > 0:05:13half time and it finished 43-8.

0:05:13 > 0:05:16Now, how about this for a big class?

0:05:16 > 0:05:18Thousands of students in the Phillipines got together

0:05:18 > 0:05:21to try and break a world record for the largest art lesson.

0:05:21 > 0:05:24200 schools took part.

0:05:24 > 0:05:26The current record is held by India.

0:05:26 > 0:05:29We'll have to wait a little longer to see if the Phillipines knocked

0:05:29 > 0:05:30them off the top spot.

0:05:30 > 0:05:33Just enough time to tell you to head to Newsround online,

0:05:33 > 0:05:36where you can find out how likely we are to get snow next week.

0:05:36 > 0:05:38It's going to be freezing!

0:05:38 > 0:05:41Plus, check out the 15-year-old girl who became the second youngest

0:05:41 > 0:05:45figure skater ever to win gold at the Winter Olympics.

0:05:45 > 0:05:51That's it from us.

0:05:52 > 0:05:56Thank you so much for watching. I will be back just before half past

0:05:56 > 0:05:56ten tomorrow
