:00:12. > :00:24.In today's programme we're looking at what's been happening in Belgium.

:00:25. > :00:26.Tributes have continued overnight, as people come together to remember

:00:27. > :00:28.the victims of the attacks on Belgium's capital,

:00:29. > :00:37.In London last night, landmarks were lit up in the colours

:00:38. > :00:41.People also continued to gather in a central square

:00:42. > :00:46.Anna Foster sent this report especially for Newsround.

:00:47. > :00:49.This is a place called the Place de la Bourse,

:00:50. > :00:53.a big public square right in the middle of Brussels.

:00:54. > :00:55.You can see hundreds of people have come out here today,

:00:56. > :00:59.They have put big flags on these steps here.

:01:00. > :01:05.They've got balloons as well in the same colours,

:01:06. > :01:08.and if you look down here you can see all of the candles that people

:01:09. > :01:11.have brought to light, and there are big tubs of chalk

:01:12. > :01:13.as well and people are writing messages.

:01:14. > :01:16.There are lots of children who have come here as well to remember

:01:17. > :01:23.the people who were caught up in the attacks here yesterday.

:01:24. > :01:25.Lots of people came overnight tonight to light candles as well.

:01:26. > :01:27.Lots of people have come from work with flowers.

:01:28. > :01:30.The children were back at school today but lots of them were quiet

:01:31. > :01:33.for a minute earlier today, to remember the people

:01:34. > :01:35.who were caught up and involved in those attacks here

:01:36. > :01:42.As you saw there, it's not just grown ups who are visiting

:01:43. > :01:49.Many children have gone there as well, from all over the world.

:01:50. > :02:00.TRANSLATION: I am here to show my sympathy with the families

:02:01. > :02:04.We want to show that we are sad, and we are also

:02:05. > :02:09.Well, the extremist group who call themselves IS have said they carried

:02:10. > :02:13.So I've been looking in to who they are and what is being

:02:14. > :02:16.done to try and keep people safe from them.

:02:17. > :02:18.IS are a group based in the Middle East, mainly

:02:19. > :02:21.They have extreme religious beliefs and use brutal violence

:02:22. > :02:24.against anyone who doesn't agree with their views.

:02:25. > :02:26.They claim to follow the religion of Islam but many people

:02:27. > :02:29.say their beliefs of hatred and violence have little to do

:02:30. > :02:34.with Islam and what the majority of Muslims believe.

:02:35. > :02:36.Since early 2014 IS has grown quickly, using the internet

:02:37. > :02:39.and social media to recruit followers and spread fear.

:02:40. > :02:42.They've been able to take over large parts of Syria and neighbouring

:02:43. > :02:44.Iraq, declaring this their own state and punishing anyone who doesn't

:02:45. > :02:52.Lots of different groups are fighting in Syria,

:02:53. > :02:55.and nations around the world can't agree on who they want to control

:02:56. > :03:01.What does unite most of the world is the desire to stop

:03:02. > :03:07.IS because of how violent their methods are.

:03:08. > :03:09.IS claimed they carried out the attacks in Paris,

:03:10. > :03:12.the capital of France, last year, and also the attacks in the Belgian

:03:13. > :03:19.Last year, the UK joined the US and France in bombing some areas

:03:20. > :03:26.The UK's Prime Minister David Cameron argued,

:03:27. > :03:30.in Parliament, that bombing IS was one way to try to stop them.

:03:31. > :03:36.But some people feel that the bombs also affect too many innocent people

:03:37. > :03:39.living in Syria and that the UK shouldn't be involved.

:03:40. > :03:42.Following the attacks on Brussels, there has been extra security put

:03:43. > :03:44.in place across the UK and other parts of Europe,

:03:45. > :03:51.with police forces working together to try and keep people safe.

:04:13. > :04:15.Now, the people of New Zealand have been voting about whether or not

:04:18. > :04:26.The results of the vote have just been announced,

:04:27. > :04:29.and it loks like they have decided to stick with their old flag

:04:30. > :04:33.which shows four stars and the Union Jack.

:04:34. > :04:38.The final result will be delivered next Wednesday.

:04:39. > :04:41.To footy now, and Wales and Northern Ireland meet in Cardiff

:04:42. > :04:44.tonight for a friendly game ahead of this summer's Euros.

:04:45. > :04:47.Both teams have waited a long time to reach a major competition,

:05:47. > :05:51.The cubs are enjoying cuddling up with Blakely, a five-year-old male
