:00:16. > :00:18.First up, yes, today is Red Nose Day - a day when celebs,

:00:19. > :00:20.like Comic Relief founder Lenny Henry, get silly,

:00:21. > :00:23.and loads of you pop on your Red Noses to raise money

:00:24. > :00:29.Raising money for Comic Relief, the first ever Red Nose

:00:30. > :00:37.Since then the nation's noses have been changing colour all in the name

:00:38. > :00:43.of helping to tackle poverty in the UK and around the world.

:00:44. > :00:48.Since Comic Relief began it's raised a whopping ?1 billion!

:00:49. > :00:53.This year DJ and TV presenter Sara Cox

:00:54. > :00:56.has spent 24 hours - yes, 24 hrs - dancing to '80s music,

:00:57. > :01:02.And everyone's looking forward to the the big

:01:03. > :01:08.One thing lots of grown-ups are talking about is a short film

:01:09. > :01:12.made with the stars of Love Actually.

:01:13. > :01:15.It was a big movie that came out in 2003, but what do

:01:16. > :01:20.But Comic Relief is all about the ways people

:01:21. > :01:25.across the UK try to raise money and make a difference.

:01:26. > :01:28.This school in Essex made a gigantic paper chain to raise money!

:01:29. > :01:32.They even broke the world record - the old record was 3.2 kilometres -

:01:33. > :01:37.but this morning it was beaten by 200 metres.

:01:38. > :01:43.300 children from this school in Suffolk did a giant Mexican wave.

:01:44. > :01:47.And 160 children in Norfolk did a flash mob dance all dressed up

:01:48. > :01:55.Well, that looked like so much fun, we had to get involved ourselves.

:01:56. > :01:58.Martin went to a very special school in Aberdeenshire in Scotland to find

:01:59. > :02:07.I've come here because, in 2015, the pupils at this school

:02:08. > :02:09.raised over ?21,000, and that's more than any

:02:10. > :02:14.And this year, they're trying to beat it.

:02:15. > :02:16.OK, so I want to know what you've been doing

:02:17. > :02:22.So, obviously we've mountains of red noses, and we also made cakes.

:02:23. > :02:25.What did you do for Red Nose Day this year?

:02:26. > :02:29.We went to Tesco's and we raised quite a lot of money, and we also,

:02:30. > :02:32.we are doing loads of different things in classes.

:02:33. > :02:34.I want to know what else you're doing.

:02:35. > :02:41.I think that's going to make the most money, right?

:02:42. > :02:44.Mrs Martin, one of the deputy headteachers here,

:02:45. > :02:50.Last year, we had the girls from the office in the stocks

:02:51. > :02:54.This year we thought we'd give them some extra support and some extra

:02:55. > :03:00.Tell me, what makes your school so special with the fact

:03:01. > :03:02.that they can raise over ?21,000 in one year?

:03:03. > :03:04.We've got some fantastic hard-working staff, pupils,

:03:05. > :03:07.and the parents have all got behind it to support us.

:03:08. > :03:11.OK, Mrs Martin, I'm going to leave you to it, good luck.

:03:17. > :03:29.And it's not just Martin getting involved.

:03:32. > :03:35.First up is Alisha from Hastings, whose school is raising money today.

:03:36. > :03:40.Next we have Fraser who's 10, Erica, 9, Heidi, 7, and Skyler, 2,

:03:41. > :03:43.who all dressed up "funny for money" at school.

:03:44. > :03:46.Eight-year-old Izzy, from Reading, has also been in touch,

:03:47. > :03:49.to say that she's been making bookmarks, to sell and raise

:03:50. > :04:00.Class 2KK from Weston-super-Mare say their school has been dressing

:04:01. > :04:04.They've already raised ?564, and will be telling their favourite

:04:05. > :04:10.Finally, Orla from Oxford says at her school, people can pay money

:04:11. > :04:12.to vote which teacher does a rap battle, and which

:04:13. > :04:20.Sport now, and tonight it's a massive night for Wales

:04:21. > :04:24.They take on the Republic of Ireland in Dublin,

:04:25. > :04:29.They need to win to have any real chance of reaching the World Cup

:04:30. > :04:35.And even with the power of Gareth Bale on their side,

:04:36. > :04:44.boss Chris Coleman says both teams are evenly matched, on all levels.

:04:45. > :04:47.Very similar in terms of a lot of passion, a lot of energy.

:04:48. > :04:50.So no matter what anybody says, what won't be forgotten is the game.
