0:00:25 > 0:00:29First up, massive news for England fans, as former

0:00:29 > 0:00:31captain Wayne Rooney retired from international

0:00:31 > 0:00:32football yesterday.

0:00:32 > 0:00:36Here's everything you need to know.

0:00:36 > 0:00:39COMMENTATOR: It is, of course, the captain Wayne Rooney.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43And Rooney scores!

0:00:43 > 0:00:46Wayne Rooney made a shock announcement yesterday

0:00:46 > 0:00:49afternoon he was calling time on his international career.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52England manager Gareth Southgate had recalled striker for next month's

0:00:52 > 0:00:55World Cup qualifiers but Rooney said he believes now is the time to bow

0:00:55 > 0:01:01out, making what he calls a really tough decision.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04I think it definitely was a surprise because Wayne Rooney has just hit

0:01:04 > 0:01:08top form since returning to his boyhood club Everton but,

0:01:08 > 0:01:11at 31 years old, he says he wants to concentrate on bringing success

0:01:11 > 0:01:16to Everton and, unfortunately, he has to sacrifice his England career.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19Rooney has been an England player for 14 years, longer than some

0:01:19 > 0:01:20of you have been alive.

0:01:20 > 0:01:24He first played when he was a teenager aged

0:01:24 > 0:01:2817 years and 111 days.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31At the time, he was the youngest player ever to play for England.

0:01:31 > 0:01:33COMMENTATOR: And Rooney's shot!

0:01:33 > 0:01:35Oh, fabulous!

0:01:35 > 0:01:38He was made captain in 2014 by the manager at the time

0:01:38 > 0:01:43Roy Hodgson and he led the team into Euro 2016 last year.

0:01:43 > 0:01:46But they were knocked out by Iceland in a shock defeat.

0:01:46 > 0:01:49Rooney has had some ups and downs during his England career and admits

0:01:49 > 0:01:53one of his regrets is never having won a tournament with the team.

0:01:53 > 0:01:58But he steps down as England's record scorer with 53 goals

0:01:58 > 0:02:03and the most capped outfield player ever with 119 appearances.

0:02:03 > 0:02:06And, having scored his 200th Premier League goal just the other

0:02:06 > 0:02:13night, it's not the last we've seen of Wayne Rooney on a football pitch.

0:02:13 > 0:02:15Well, there is loads more on Rooney at Newsround online,

0:02:15 > 0:02:18where you can take a look at the highs and lows

0:02:18 > 0:02:22of his England career.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24Next up, there's a big argument happening about whether you should

0:02:24 > 0:02:26be allowed to sell rhino horn.

0:02:26 > 0:02:28Ayshah has this report.

0:02:28 > 0:02:31South Africa is home to more rhino than anywhere else in the world

0:02:31 > 0:02:34but they have a huge problem.

0:02:34 > 0:02:38Poaching is out of control in this country.

0:02:38 > 0:02:42That's where these amazing animals are killed for their horns.

0:02:42 > 0:02:44Buying and selling rhino horn between countries has been

0:02:44 > 0:02:49against the law since 1977.

0:02:49 > 0:02:53In South Africa, a judge has said it's OK for them to be

0:02:53 > 0:02:54sold in that country.

0:02:54 > 0:02:59As of today, I have 1,536 rhinos.

0:02:59 > 0:03:00This is John Hume.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03He has a lot of rhinos and thinks he should be able

0:03:03 > 0:03:07to sell their horns.

0:03:07 > 0:03:15I firmly believe that this is the way to save rhinos from extinction.

0:03:15 > 0:03:18On his land he removes the rhinos' horn safely.

0:03:18 > 0:03:22This rhino has been sent to sleep for a short time by a vet and then

0:03:22 > 0:03:28the horn is removed but it doesn't have the animal because it's done

0:03:28 > 0:03:31the horn is removed but it doesn't hurt the animal because it's done

0:03:31 > 0:03:33by a professional and it grows back.

0:03:33 > 0:03:35But some conservationists don't agree that this is the best

0:03:35 > 0:03:36way to protect rhinos.

0:03:36 > 0:03:39There's been absolutely no evidence shown that trade will curb rhino

0:03:39 > 0:03:41poaching whatsoever and there's very little evidence to show that

0:03:41 > 0:03:43trading could ever curb poaching of an animal.

0:03:43 > 0:03:45Both sides will be watching this sale very closely.

0:03:45 > 0:03:49If rhino numbers go up then people like John will be happy and more

0:03:49 > 0:03:52sales like this might go ahead in the future, but if rhino

0:03:52 > 0:03:54numbers keep going down, then conservationists will say more

0:03:54 > 0:03:56needs to be done to protect the species and the rules

0:03:56 > 0:04:03need to be stricter.

0:04:03 > 0:04:05Next, to the cinema where you can take your dog!

0:04:05 > 0:04:07Every six weeks there's dog friendly screenings shown

0:04:07 > 0:04:09at this cinema in London.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12They're hoping to encourage dogs and their owners to watch films

0:04:12 > 0:04:16together but movies with loud noises and barking in are off limits,

0:04:16 > 0:04:20so they don't unsettle the dogs.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23OK, the world record for the largest samosa was smashed

0:04:23 > 0:04:24in London yesterday.

0:04:24 > 0:04:2812 volunteers cooked the giant snack at an East London mosque.

0:04:28 > 0:04:31It weighed more than 153 kilograms!

0:04:31 > 0:04:33Huge!

0:04:33 > 0:04:36It was then cut up into hundreds of portions and given

0:04:36 > 0:04:37to local homeless people.

0:04:37 > 0:04:40A Guinness World Records spokesperson described the samosa

0:04:40 > 0:04:44as an impressive achievement.

0:04:44 > 0:04:44I agree.

0:04:44 > 0:04:46That's all for now.
