:00:22. > :00:26.Hey there, half-termers. School may be out this week, but Newsround is

:00:26. > :00:30.still very much on the ball. Sonali and Ricky in the studio with your

:00:30. > :00:33.headlines tonight. Coming up: The hunt is on to find a great

:00:33. > :00:37.white shark which killed a diver in Australia.

:00:37. > :00:41.And have you seen this satellite? If so, scientists want to know

:00:41. > :00:43.where. First to Turkey, where rescuers are

:00:43. > :00:47.searching for survivors after a big earthquake struck yesterday

:00:47. > :00:53.afternoon. The 7.2 magnitude quake hit the area called Van, in the

:00:53. > :00:57.east of the country near the border with Iran. 265 people are known to

:00:57. > :01:05.have died and more than 1,000 have been injured, but those numbers are

:01:05. > :01:08.expected to rise. Terrified but alive. After being

:01:08. > :01:14.trapped in a tiny space in freezing conditions, 13-year-old Yunus was

:01:14. > :01:20.pulled out from the rubble. Rescuers have been using picks,

:01:20. > :01:23.shovels, even their bare hands to look for survivors of the quake.

:01:23. > :01:27.Many people's homes were made of clay bricks so they didn't stand a

:01:27. > :01:32.chance. People are scared. Tens of thousands chose to spend the night

:01:32. > :01:35.outside in the freezing cold, worried about aftershocks. Food

:01:35. > :01:40.stations are being set up to help those who've been made homeless and

:01:40. > :01:44.water and blankets are being shipped out. Earthquakes are a big

:01:44. > :01:50.risk in Turkey because the country sits on fault lines. 12 years ago,

:01:50. > :01:55.two quakes killed almost 20,000 people. This time around, rescuers

:01:55. > :02:00.don't know how many survivors are still trapped. What they do know is

:02:00. > :02:03.time is running out to recover many more people from the rubble.

:02:03. > :02:06.Next, protestors camped outside one of the world's most famous churches

:02:06. > :02:09.- and one of London's top tourist attractions - say they could be

:02:09. > :02:14.there for several months. St Paul's Cathedral has been losing thousands

:02:14. > :02:17.of pounds a day since it closed its doors on Friday. Church bosses say

:02:17. > :02:23.it's not safe to let tourists in while there are so many people

:02:23. > :02:26.protesting outside. It's the first time the church has been shut since

:02:26. > :02:29.the Second World War. The protesters are unhappy with the way

:02:29. > :02:38.banks and governments around the world are using and spending money,

:02:38. > :02:42.and say they want things to change. Now, it's the result we can't stop

:02:42. > :02:45.talking about. A result that has rocked the Premier League and made

:02:45. > :02:48.quite a statement to the world. Everyone knew Manchester City were

:02:48. > :02:51.good - but no one thought they were good enough to beat the most

:02:51. > :02:54.successful team in Premier League history, 6-1. But they did. What

:02:54. > :02:58.makes the result so amazing are the stats. Anyone who isn't a United

:02:58. > :03:03.fan may want to hit record right now so you can use these facts to

:03:03. > :03:06.gloat. Let's do them in date order. First up, it's the worst defeat

:03:06. > :03:11.EVER for Manchester United in the Premier League. It gets worse. It's

:03:11. > :03:14.the worst loss for the Red Devils at their home ground since 1955.

:03:14. > :03:18.The most successful team in English footy haven't had six goals scored

:03:18. > :03:23.against them since 1930. And wait for it, it's the first time arch

:03:23. > :03:27.rivals Manchester City have scored six in the derby since 1926! Sir

:03:27. > :03:37.Alex Ferguson wasn't even born then. He has called the result his

:03:37. > :03:44.

:03:44. > :03:48.''worst ever day'' at the club. is a defeat and a bad defeat. The

:03:48. > :03:53.impact will come from the impact -- from the embarrassment. We will

:03:54. > :03:56.expect an impact, without doubt there will be a response. City have

:03:56. > :03:59.now proved they're serious contenders for the Premier League

:03:59. > :04:03.title. We've been in Manchester to see how the results gone down.

:04:03. > :04:08.been supporting United since I was two, but this was the worst thing I

:04:08. > :04:15.could remember about it. It got to 5-1 and I turned it off, I couldn't

:04:15. > :04:20.watch any more. I think city can win the league this year. By miles.

:04:20. > :04:28.City will win the league, because they have got rue Strong players

:04:28. > :04:33.and a great manager. -- really strong players. Instead of going to

:04:33. > :04:35.school saying city have lost, we can go to school saying, we know we

:04:35. > :04:38.can beat you. Passengers in Bristol had a lucky

:04:38. > :04:44.escape today after the entire roof of their double decker bus was

:04:44. > :04:49.ripped off after they hit a tree. 18 people were hurt and seven had

:04:49. > :04:52.to be taken to hospital in the collision.

:04:52. > :04:55.Next, to a hunt that makes looking for a needle in a haystack an

:04:55. > :04:58.absolute doddle. Scientists are looking for whatever is left of

:04:58. > :05:01.this - a German satellite called ROSAT that crashed back to Earth

:05:01. > :05:04.yesterday. They reckon it probably broke into about 30 pieces and as

:05:04. > :05:08.there have been no reports of anyone being hurt, it may have

:05:08. > :05:11.landed somewhere in the ocean in South East Asia.

:05:11. > :05:14.We're taking you to Australia now, where the hunt is on to find a

:05:14. > :05:17.great white shark which killed a diver over the weekend. It's the

:05:17. > :05:20.third deadly attack off the western coast in the last two months, and

:05:20. > :05:28.scientists say it's possible all the victims were attacked by the

:05:28. > :05:32.George Wainwright was an experienced diver. The 32-year-old

:05:32. > :05:36.went into the sea this weekend but never made it back. He's the latest

:05:36. > :05:41.victim of a shark attack. It happened 500 metres off Rottnest

:05:41. > :05:44.Island in Australia. Sharks attacks do happen in this area, but what's

:05:44. > :05:49.strange is the number of attacks that have taken place in the past

:05:49. > :05:53.two months. Some people are wondering if one shark is to blame

:05:53. > :06:03.for all three deaths. There's now a catch-to-kill order to try to hunt

:06:03. > :06:07.it down. Within an hour of this being known, the fisheries minister

:06:07. > :06:11.issued an order to allow the fisheries officers to try to catch

:06:11. > :06:13.or destroy that shark. Sharks like the great white are protected

:06:13. > :06:16.species and aren't usually caught and killed. Conservationists say

:06:16. > :06:19.the government is over-reacting. They say it's impossible to tell

:06:19. > :06:22.which shark carried out the attack. They want people to be more careful

:06:22. > :06:30.in the sea. But with three deaths in two months, authorities say they

:06:30. > :06:34.need to protect the public before For the second week in a row, the X

:06:34. > :06:37.Factor lost out to Strictly when the two shows went head to head on

:06:37. > :06:40.Saturday night. Although the ITV show is still pulling in more

:06:40. > :06:45.viewers overall, Strictly on the BBC managed to pull in an extra 1.5

:06:45. > :06:49.million viewers while both shows overlapped for 15 minutes. This

:06:49. > :06:51.Sunday saw Sami Brookes pack her bags on the X Factor, and my

:06:51. > :06:56.favourite celeb impressionist - Rory Bremner - was voted off

:06:56. > :07:00.Strictly. Finally, it's nearly Halloween and

:07:00. > :07:06.what I want to know is, what will you do with your pumpkin? Over in

:07:06. > :07:12.America, this giant one came to a very messy end. They're also being

:07:12. > :07:17.used as footballs for elephants and orangutans at the Los Angeles Zoo.

:07:17. > :07:19.What is wrong with the traditional way of doing things?

:07:19. > :07:24.Newsround his back a little bit later this afternoon.
