:00:00. > :00:07.Good afternoon. I'm Ricky, live from the Newsround studio with your

:00:08. > :00:11.top stories from around the world. We head to Russia to find out what

:00:12. > :00:21.made Yaya Toure so angry. And then it's to Norway to a town

:00:22. > :00:24.that's been left in the shadows This is Newsround.

:00:25. > :00:28.But first, are you getting enough vitamins? Well, according to this

:00:29. > :00:31.lady some of you aren't and it's affecting your health. Dame Sally

:00:32. > :00:35.Davies is England's top doctor and says too many kids are being denied

:00:36. > :00:39.vital nutrients that help keep them healthy. She claims it has even led

:00:40. > :00:42.to an increase in cases of a bone- deforming disease that was last

:00:43. > :00:45.widespread in Victorian Times. Ayseha's has been investigating

:00:46. > :00:48.this one. Lunchtime at school which means

:00:49. > :00:52.lots of running around in the playground. But today, the UK's top

:00:53. > :00:55.doctor says some of you aren't getting enough vitamins and it

:00:56. > :00:59.could be affecting some children's health. Vitamins A, C and D are

:01:00. > :01:10.really important for keeping you strong and full of energy, but do

:01:11. > :01:17.you know where you get them from? From drinks. Fruit and veg. Healthy

:01:18. > :01:21.foods and drinks and exercise. Yoghurts and things.

:01:22. > :01:24.Not bad! We get the vitamins we need from the sun and from foods

:01:25. > :01:27.like oranges, fish, eggs and healthy cereals. But experts say

:01:28. > :01:31.too many kids aren't getting enough, contributing to a rise to diseases

:01:32. > :01:34.like rickets, which was last common during Victorian times. But what

:01:35. > :01:43.exactly is rickets and should we be worried about it? The body uses

:01:44. > :01:48.vitamin D to help absorb calcium from food and calcium is what keeps

:01:49. > :01:55.the bones strong so if you don't have vitamin do you don't put

:01:56. > :01:59.calcium in your bones and they become week. A potentially could

:02:00. > :02:02.break and that is what Ricketts is. But we do know there is

:02:03. > :02:06.break and that is what Ricketts is. wickets than there has been in

:02:07. > :02:11.break and that is what Ricketts is. recent years but it is still not

:02:12. > :02:13.very common so most to children shouldn't really be very worried

:02:14. > :02:17.about it. At the moment, children under five

:02:18. > :02:21.from families who don't have a lot of money get free vitamins, but in

:02:22. > :02:24.her report, Dame Sally Davies says that this scheme should be extended

:02:25. > :02:27.to all children to make sure everyone is growing up healthy.

:02:28. > :02:31.Next to another football racism row that has got people questioning

:02:32. > :02:34.whether Russia should be allowed to host the 2018 World Cup. Last night,

:02:35. > :02:37.Man City midfielder Yaya Toure said he was "absolutely furious" after

:02:38. > :02:42.claiming he was racially abused during his side's Champions League

:02:43. > :02:45.match against CSKA Moscow. Afterwards, captain Vincent Kompany

:02:46. > :02:50.said on a social networking site "Racist chants again in Moscow.

:02:51. > :02:54.We've all said enough. Uefa, the Russian government and CSKA, all

:02:55. > :02:57.eyes are on you now." It's not the first time Russian fans have been

:02:58. > :03:01.accused of racism. BBC reporter Steve Rosenberg is in Moscow and

:03:02. > :03:07.sent us this report on the situation there.

:03:08. > :03:12.Races and is a problem in Russia. Not just in football but in every

:03:13. > :03:17.day life. But people often face a lot of verbal abuse on the streets

:03:18. > :03:20.and as far as football is concerned, black players are often on the

:03:21. > :03:25.receiving end of quite insulting language. A lot of people I have

:03:26. > :03:29.spoken to here say that raises them in sport is not just the Russian

:03:30. > :03:36.problem but across Europe. That is true, but this country is preparing

:03:37. > :03:41.to host the Winter Olympics next February and the football World Cup

:03:42. > :03:44.in 2018 and the authorities here know they have to tackle the

:03:45. > :03:48.problem fast because the world's attention will be on Russia.

:03:49. > :03:51.Next, they're two of the most powerful people in the world and

:03:52. > :03:55.they're supposed to be good friends, but the German Chancellor, Angela

:03:56. > :03:58.Merkel is said to be upset with President Obama after being told

:03:59. > :04:01.that American spies may have hacked into her mobile phone. According to

:04:02. > :04:04.the White House, President Obama told Mrs Merkel the US was not

:04:05. > :04:09.monitoring her phone and would not in future, but didn't say whether

:04:10. > :04:12.they had in the past. We've been asking you all day what you think

:04:13. > :04:16.of spying and if it's ever happened to you.

:04:17. > :04:19.Benston says, "It's not OK if someone is spying on you because it

:04:20. > :04:23.can cause big problems in your family. If someone is spying on you

:04:24. > :04:26.then they'll know everything about your social life." And Olivia in

:04:27. > :04:30.Northern Ireland says, my friends sometimes look at my emails and it

:04:31. > :04:33.upsets me as it's my private life. You may have noticed it getting

:04:34. > :04:37.darker and darker on your journey home from school in recent weeks,

:04:38. > :04:41.but spare a thought for people who live in this town in Norway.

:04:42. > :04:44.They've had to erect giant mirrors to reflect sunlight on to their

:04:45. > :04:48.town square. The sides of the valley are so steep that the town

:04:49. > :04:50.was in shadow for almost six months of the year until the new invention

:04:51. > :04:54.was added. It's also a great way to check your

:04:55. > :05:00.hair in the morning too! That's just about it from me, but join me

:05:01. > :05:01.again at 6:50 to find out more about one of these that's going
