:00:32. > :00:34.First this morning to America where people in the north-east

:00:35. > :00:37.of the country are trying to clear up after one of the worst

:00:38. > :00:43.In New York a record 67 centimetres of snow fell in the city's famous

:00:44. > :00:46.Many people spent the weekend sledging, taking part in snowball

:00:47. > :00:49.We've had special reports all weekend from children

:00:50. > :00:51.in the area explaining what they've been up to.

:00:52. > :01:05.Zara and Jack sent us this from Washington DC.

:01:30. > :01:31.This is Daddy and he is shovelling snow.

:01:32. > :01:46.And we are going to have a car digging out contest.

:01:47. > :01:48.This is going to be good, watch this.

:01:49. > :02:05.Head over to the Newsround web site to see more from children living

:02:06. > :02:11.And there's a cute video of a panda enjoying the snow.

:02:20. > :02:22.The Gunners spent most of the game with just ten men after Mertersacker

:02:23. > :02:31.I'd don't know exactly what to say because there

:02:32. > :02:35.are a few games where that has happened, and the only thing we can

:02:36. > :02:49.do is keep our focus and fight, and that is what we did.

:02:50. > :02:51.Tom Daley picked up another gold at the National Diving Cup.

:02:52. > :02:54.He won the individual 10 metre platform competition.

:02:55. > :02:58.It goes with the medal he had already won in the pairs event.

:03:10. > :03:11.Simi has been waiting two years to be allowed into the country.

:03:12. > :03:19.This was the moment in Belgian where the Tiger stepped into the crate

:03:20. > :03:26.which was to take her to the Isle of Wight zoo. -- Belgium. Just like

:03:27. > :03:30.that, that was incredible, I don't know if we were expecting that to

:03:31. > :03:34.happen on the first attempt but he is in the cage. A result. It

:03:35. > :03:38.followed two years of delays after he was rescued from a German

:03:39. > :03:41.travelling circus but the breakthrough came when the issue was

:03:42. > :03:48.raised in Parliament by David Cameron. We will help with the DEFRA

:03:49. > :03:55.agency because they are the ones working on this. After a 360 mile

:03:56. > :03:58.journey, he is expected to become a celebrity at the zoo which

:03:59. > :04:02.journey, he is expected to become a specialises in big cats and tigers.

:04:03. > :04:06.She is due to go on show this weekend and is settling well into

:04:07. > :04:11.her new surroundings on the Isle of Wight. We don't know whether she has

:04:12. > :04:13.felt grass and needs her feet before but she looks pretty confident,

:04:14. > :04:19.doesn't she? -- beneath her feet. A team of British scientists have

:04:20. > :04:22.been finding out how penguins are changing their habits

:04:23. > :04:24.because of climate change. They've set up loads of cameras

:04:25. > :04:27.where the animals live and breed in the Antarctic to look

:04:28. > :04:29.at their behaviour. The BBC's Science reporter

:04:30. > :04:31.Victoria Gill sent Newsround this I am in Antarctica and I'm actually

:04:32. > :04:38.standing in a penguin colony so I have to keep my voice down

:04:39. > :04:41.slightly because the birds all around are on their nests

:04:42. > :04:45.with chicks and I'm here with a team of scientists led by Doctor Tom Hart

:04:46. > :04:47.who is setting up cameras You can see one of your camera

:04:48. > :04:52.is just behind us here. What exactly are you doing here,

:04:53. > :04:54.what is this project for? I leave a camera on loads

:04:55. > :04:57.of different penguin colonies all around Antarctica and they take

:04:58. > :04:59.an image every hour throughout the year so we get when they turn

:05:00. > :05:03.up, how well they are doing and how well they are breeding from loads

:05:04. > :05:06.of different colonies all around Why do you want to understand

:05:07. > :05:10.what is going on in that detail? I want to understand

:05:11. > :05:12.what the threats are to penguins in this region, and how to get

:05:13. > :05:15.rid of those threats, so it could be fisheries,

:05:16. > :05:17.climate change. By following loads of colonies,

:05:18. > :05:20.some of which are near fished areas, we can work out the differences

:05:21. > :05:22.between those in terms of survival So that is a lot of images

:05:23. > :05:38.that the 75 cameras around penguin colonies in Antarctica

:05:39. > :05:39.are collecting, and to analyse all of those images,

:05:40. > :05:42.they are asking for your help to go online and help conserve

:05:43. > :05:47.Antarctica's penguins. That's all from me, Newsround's back

:05:48. > :05:50.right here this afternoon with Leah That's all from me for now,

:05:51. > :05:56.Newsround's back right here at 8.15
