0:00:04 > 0:00:07Hey, I'm Whitney with your slightly different looking Friday Newsround.
0:00:07 > 0:00:10Coming up in the next few minutes...
0:00:10 > 0:00:12Are robots going to change YOUR future?
0:00:12 > 0:00:18And why these little fellas are causing problems in Berlin.
0:00:25 > 0:00:27Yes, Newsround is looking a bit different while we wait
0:00:27 > 0:00:30for a new set, so keep watching for that!
0:00:30 > 0:00:32But first, more and more robots are doing jobs
0:00:32 > 0:00:33that people used to do,
0:00:33 > 0:00:40and 11-year-old Newsrounder Jasmine, wanted us to investigate
0:00:40 > 0:00:42whether this affects how many jobs there are for people.
0:00:42 > 0:00:47So we sent Jasmine out to find out more.
0:00:47 > 0:00:49Me and my friends are worried about robots taking over
0:00:49 > 0:00:51our jobs in the future.
0:00:51 > 0:00:55So I've come to Bristol Robotics Lab to see what robots can do.
0:00:55 > 0:00:58How are robots changing the types of jobs people have?
0:00:58 > 0:01:02So we're seeing a lot more robots in jobs that don't
0:01:02 > 0:01:04take complex thinking.
0:01:04 > 0:01:06I went to San Francisco recently and there's a cafe
0:01:06 > 0:01:09there where all the coffees are made by robots.
0:01:09 > 0:01:12Do you think changes are a good thing or bad thing?
0:01:12 > 0:01:16We're seeing more and more robots designed for helping people.
0:01:16 > 0:01:18Going in if there is a natural disaster and
0:01:18 > 0:01:21taking food, taking aid.
0:01:21 > 0:01:25If robots can be used for good, that's great.
0:01:25 > 0:01:27But we are seeing people losing their jobs
0:01:27 > 0:01:28and that's happening quickly.
0:01:28 > 0:01:31In the future, it's possible we won't need to drive cars
0:01:31 > 0:01:34because they'll drive themselves.
0:01:34 > 0:01:36What happens to people like taxi or lorry drivers
0:01:36 > 0:01:38who drive for their job?
0:01:38 > 0:01:42A driverless car, you don't really need the driver.
0:01:42 > 0:01:46So we really need to look carefully at what other jobs we can find
0:01:46 > 0:01:51for these people to make sure that they don't become jobless.
0:01:51 > 0:01:54Would you like to have a go in the simulator?
0:01:54 > 0:01:56Yes.
0:01:56 > 0:01:57It's going by itself.
0:01:57 > 0:02:00It sees the other car coming from the right.
0:02:00 > 0:02:01It stops.
0:02:01 > 0:02:02It makes sure.
0:02:02 > 0:02:04And we have no accident.
0:02:04 > 0:02:07It's not just driverless cars, all types of jobs could be
0:02:07 > 0:02:08taken over by robots.
0:02:08 > 0:02:11What can I do to prepare for the changes in the future?
0:02:11 > 0:02:14We know there are going to be some jobs that you just
0:02:14 > 0:02:16can't have robots doing.
0:02:16 > 0:02:19If you are a nurse, if you are a carer, it's very,
0:02:19 > 0:02:24very difficult for a robot to really have that human interaction.
0:02:24 > 0:02:28Also we need people that are programming the robots,
0:02:28 > 0:02:31hopefully for good things in the future.
0:02:31 > 0:02:32I had a really fun day today.
0:02:32 > 0:02:35I think robots are good because they help people
0:02:35 > 0:02:37with disabilities, but I also think they're bad because
0:02:37 > 0:02:41people lose their jobs.
0:02:41 > 0:02:44Now, they might look like a cross between a lobster and a prawn
0:02:44 > 0:02:48but crayfish are causing problems in Berlin where there has been
0:02:48 > 0:02:50a crayfish invasion.
0:02:50 > 0:02:53Locals have seen the creatures lurking around the lakes
0:02:53 > 0:02:57of Berlin's Tiergarten and even roaming the pathways.
0:02:57 > 0:03:00Protection officers believe that the crayfish arrived
0:03:00 > 0:03:04in the lakes after private owners tried to get rid of them.
0:03:04 > 0:03:06Next to rugby, and England's women are getting ready
0:03:06 > 0:03:08to defend their title at the Rugby World Cup
0:03:08 > 0:03:10final tomorrow.
0:03:10 > 0:03:12They'll be taking on New Zealand at the match in Belfast.
0:03:12 > 0:03:16We caught up with some rugby fans to find out what a World Cup
0:03:16 > 0:03:19win would mean to them.
0:03:19 > 0:03:23Rugby is fun, awesome and tiring.
0:03:23 > 0:03:25Amazing, fun and awesome.
0:03:25 > 0:03:27Great, wonderful and fun.
0:03:27 > 0:03:34I feel really happy that the England team are in the final.
0:03:34 > 0:03:36It's exciting and it makes me feel really happy.
0:03:36 > 0:03:40England in the finals is really exciting.
0:03:40 > 0:03:44I am really excited because I can't wait for England to be
0:03:44 > 0:03:46the champions again.
0:03:46 > 0:03:50Seeing England in the final is good and I can't wait to see them play
0:03:50 > 0:03:54New Zealand so they can win their World Cup.
0:03:54 > 0:03:57They have a chance to be one of the best teams in the world.
0:03:57 > 0:04:00England and New Zealand are both really good teams.
0:04:00 > 0:04:05I think England will win but only by a narrow score.
0:04:05 > 0:04:10England, just try your hardest and we will all be proud of you.
0:04:10 > 0:04:13Keep working hard because that's the best they can do.
0:04:13 > 0:04:15Good luck, England.
0:04:15 > 0:04:17We believe in you.
0:04:17 > 0:04:18Good luck, England.
0:04:18 > 0:04:20I hope you win.
0:04:20 > 0:04:25My good luck message to the England women is to keep their heads
0:04:25 > 0:04:28up and hope they win and play really well.
0:04:28 > 0:04:34Good luck, England!
0:04:34 > 0:04:38Finally, visitors at Edinburgh Zoo were delighted when this baby koala
0:04:38 > 0:04:40jumped out of its mothers pouch.
0:04:40 > 0:04:44The new arrival to the UK's only group of koalas was born seven
0:04:44 > 0:04:47months ago and will remain at the park for the next 12 months
0:04:47 > 0:04:50until it becomes independent.
0:04:50 > 0:04:51That's all from me.
0:04:51 > 0:04:53Newsround's back tomorrow with Martin.
0:04:53 > 0:04:54See you then.
0:04:54 > 0:04:56Bye.
