0:00:06 > 0:00:13Hi, I'm Ayshah, and this is Newsround.

0:00:13 > 0:00:17First up rugby and the big news that England are through to the final

0:00:17 > 0:00:19of World Cup for the first time since 1995.

0:00:19 > 0:00:22They made a really strong start leading by 20 points but Tonga

0:00:22 > 0:00:24fought hard to close the gap with the final score

0:00:24 > 0:00:34a nail biting 18-20.

0:00:35 > 0:00:39It is one of the best games I have ever played in. These supporters are

0:00:39 > 0:00:45unbelievable. They keep fighting to the end and that is what they did.

0:00:45 > 0:00:47We are off to the final.

0:00:47 > 0:00:50It was goals galore for England in their World Cup Qualifier -

0:00:50 > 0:00:51four of them in fact.

0:00:51 > 0:00:52They beat Bosnia-Herzegovina 4-nil.

0:00:52 > 0:00:55And Steph Houghton got two of them.

0:00:55 > 0:00:58There was only one goal in the Wales match, luckily it was on their side.

0:00:58 > 0:01:00A beautiful free kick from Hayley Ladd gave them

0:01:00 > 0:01:07victory in the 84th minute.

0:01:07 > 0:01:10And in cricket England have finished day three of the Ashes Test

0:01:10 > 0:01:11against Australia just in the lead.

0:01:11 > 0:01:14Two early wickets from Australia made it hard for England

0:01:14 > 0:01:17but at the end of play England lead Australia by 7 runs

0:01:17 > 0:01:22with 8 wickets remaining.

0:01:22 > 0:01:25Next what do you do when you need to dig a really deep hole?

0:01:25 > 0:01:31You bring out the Vibrocorer of course.

0:01:31 > 0:01:39It can drill through water 6000 metres deep and cut 6000 metres

0:01:39 > 0:01:45down. This is the Vibrocorer and it means business. Which is just as

0:01:45 > 0:01:50well because these scientists are drilling deep chunks of the sea bed

0:01:50 > 0:01:53around the British Isles. The mission is to solve the mystery of

0:01:53 > 0:01:56what happened to the ice sheet covering Britain thousands of years

0:01:56 > 0:02:02ago.We now have the tools at our disposal to put together a really

0:02:02 > 0:02:07meaningful and detailed reconstruction.They want to find

0:02:07 > 0:02:12out when exactly and how the last ice age ended. And this could help

0:02:12 > 0:02:20them predict what will happen to the ice sheets in the South Pole today.

0:02:20 > 0:02:24The team are using the Vibrocorer to find clues in the sea bed. The drill

0:02:24 > 0:02:32is lowered to the bottom of the sea where it vibrates to collect a tube

0:02:32 > 0:02:39of rock and mud. It is then studied by scientists. They are desperate to

0:02:39 > 0:02:42get the sample. And then the scientists disappear into the

0:02:42 > 0:02:47laboratories.They are now testing the samples to find out exactly when

0:02:47 > 0:02:51the ice melted and white. They are hoping understanding what happened

0:02:51 > 0:02:55in the past could help predict the future.

0:02:55 > 0:02:57Next, we're talking Strictly, we caught up with Gemma

0:02:57 > 0:02:58and Aljaz to talk tangos.

0:02:58 > 0:03:06Check this out.

0:03:06 > 0:03:12Hi, I'm Gemma. And thanks to you guys for voting. We are through to

0:03:12 > 0:03:20week ten. Getting through to week ten is

0:03:20 > 0:03:25absolutely incredible. Never than a million years thought we would be

0:03:25 > 0:03:30able to dance half the dances I have done. Thank you to everyone who has

0:03:30 > 0:03:34been voting. It really does mean a lot. Thank you to you for being the

0:03:34 > 0:03:38best dance teacher ever. You have made it so much fun for me and we're

0:03:38 > 0:03:42having such a good time. I don't want it to end.It is never going to

0:03:42 > 0:03:52end.I have learnt that he is very patient, so passionate about the

0:03:52 > 0:03:57world of dance and what each dance represents and he is a genius when

0:03:57 > 0:04:02it comes to dancing. And he is also very funny. A very good sense of

0:04:02 > 0:04:10humour.What I love about Gemma is she is very passionate, greater

0:04:10 > 0:04:16dancing, she has a lot of patience. She smiles all the time. She tells

0:04:16 > 0:04:22me really funny joke. All the time. And we are just having a great time

0:04:22 > 0:04:39really.Samba.I cannot wait to learn it. This week, it is your

0:04:39 > 0:04:43choreography. I hope you didn't forget.

0:04:43 > 0:04:46We love a cute animal story at Newsround and this

0:04:46 > 0:04:52elephant is no exception.

0:04:52 > 0:05:00Check out this baby elephant. Lily is a five-year-old Asian elephant.

0:05:00 > 0:05:16She and -- enjoys taking dips in the pool. And she hunts for apples.

0:05:20 > 0:05:38This area is called elephants land. With water features. Mad wallows.

0:05:42 > 0:05:51And feeding stations. Supporting the natural way and elephant should

0:05:51 > 0:05:54live.

0:05:54 > 0:05:57That's all from me for today but I'm back with more

0:05:57 > 0:06:01tomorrow morning from 10.30.
