:00:00. > :00:09.Hi, guys, Ayshah here with the very latest this Wednesday.

:00:10. > :00:13.Coming up: Why a member of 1D's swapping music fame for footy.

:00:14. > :00:22.And the newsreader who got that sinking feeling live on TV. This is

:00:23. > :00:25.Newsround. But first, scientists believe

:00:26. > :00:28.they've solved the mystery of one of the most astonishing fossil

:00:29. > :00:31.discoveries in recent years. This huge graveyard of whales was found

:00:32. > :00:40.in a desert in Chile, South America, in 2011, but until now, no-one knew

:00:41. > :00:44.how it got there. Well, experts studying the site now think the

:00:45. > :00:47.massive find was the result of big groups of whales getting stranded

:00:48. > :00:50.more than five million years ago. They believe they were all poisoned

:00:51. > :00:53.at around the same time after swallowing toxic algae.

:00:54. > :00:56.Next, US President Barack Obama says he's making plans to withdraw all

:00:57. > :01:01.American forces from Afghanistan by the end of 2014. Most foreign forces

:01:02. > :01:05.were expected to leave this year, but there was a plan to keep a small

:01:06. > :01:09.number in the country to continue working with local troops. Obama

:01:10. > :01:11.wants Afghan president Hamid Karzai to sign a security agreement to

:01:12. > :01:19.protect the remaining American soldiers, but Karzai won't sign that

:01:20. > :01:22.deal. Foreign troops have been in the country since 2001 when a group

:01:23. > :01:26.called the Taliban were overthrown from power.

:01:27. > :01:29.A couple in America are in the money after finding $10 million worth of

:01:30. > :01:34.buried treasure while walking their dog. They discovered hundreds of

:01:35. > :01:39.gold coins dating from the 1800s in California. The coins were found in

:01:40. > :01:42.some old rusty metal tins they saw sticking out of the ground. They

:01:43. > :01:45.want to remain anonymous but say they'll use the money to pay off

:01:46. > :01:48.their debts. And discovering that much lost

:01:49. > :01:52.treasure must make you feel pretty good, but this has got to be a close

:01:53. > :01:55.second. Tunstall Town, a small team in the Staffordshire County's

:01:56. > :01:59.Division Two, won their first footy match in more than six and half

:02:00. > :02:05.years at the weekend - after a run of 171 losses in a row. It's an

:02:06. > :02:12.incredible story. Here's Nel with more.

:02:13. > :02:16.For football fans across the country, there's no better feeling

:02:17. > :02:21.than watching your side win. But for supporters of Tunstall Town in

:02:22. > :02:25.Stoke-on-Trent, there has been no celebrations for nearly six and a

:02:26. > :02:30.half years. The last time the team picked up three points was on the

:02:31. > :02:35.29th of September 2007. Little did they know that it would be a weight

:02:36. > :02:44.of six years, four months and 25-year is before they tasted

:02:45. > :02:49.victory again. -- and 25 days. That is a lot of footballing minutes. On

:02:50. > :02:55.Saturday, they brought their winless run to an end when they were won

:02:56. > :03:00.3-2. It was better than winning their World Cup, FA Cup, Champions

:03:01. > :03:09.League, all rolled into one. It was great. After getting that win after

:03:10. > :03:12.six and a half years, legendary. 17-year-old Adam was the hero,

:03:13. > :03:17.grabbing the winner and rewriting the club's history books. Obviously,

:03:18. > :03:27.winning after six and a half years... We have a few games left

:03:28. > :03:31.that we think are winnable. Never let him have a winning

:03:32. > :03:35.feeling, maybe a push for promotion is on the cards. OK, maybe not, but

:03:36. > :03:39.they will at least hoping it will not be another six years before the

:03:40. > :03:44.next win. They're not quite as bad as that,

:03:45. > :03:47.but Man United's troubles continued last night. They were beaten in the

:03:48. > :03:52.first leg of the Champions League last 16. They went down 2-0 in the

:03:53. > :03:55.first leg of their match with Greek Champions Olympiakos - a team

:03:56. > :03:59.considered the weakest left in the competition. Celtic suffered a

:04:00. > :04:05.surprise first defeat of the season to Aberdeen. They have not lost a

:04:06. > :04:09.game of year but went down 2-1. They are still 21 point ahead at the top

:04:10. > :04:13.of the league, though. Some 1D news now. Louis Tomlinson

:04:14. > :04:20.will swap his microphone for footie boots tonight, as he gets ready to

:04:21. > :04:24.play for Doncaster Rovers. He's taking part in a game for the League

:04:25. > :04:27.Two side in a reserve match against local rivals Rotherham. Louis is

:04:28. > :04:30.playing in aid of a children's hospice. Several thousand new

:04:31. > :04:32.football fans are expected to turn up this evening.

:04:33. > :04:35.But last up, if you've ever wondered why we don't sit on adjustable

:04:36. > :04:40.chairs here on Newsround, well, watch this.

:04:41. > :04:44.This BBC reporter got a sinking feeling live on telly because of a

:04:45. > :04:48.peculiar camera fault! The clip's become a big hit online with a more

:04:49. > :04:54.than one and a half million viewings. I am really glad that

:04:55. > :04:58.doesn't happen yet on Newsround. That's your lot from the Newsround

:04:59. > :05:00.team for now. Leah's here this afternoon at 4.20pm.
