:00:29. > :00:30.challenge to zorb across the sea from Northern Ireland to Scotland

:00:31. > :00:35.Unfortunately, weather conditions yesterday forced her to stop.

:00:36. > :00:39.She sent Newsround this message once she made it to dry land.

:00:40. > :00:42.Hey Newsround, how are you doing, I just wanted to say a little hello,

:00:43. > :00:50.I finished my challenge today, we had a really good go at it.

:00:51. > :00:53.Unfortunately I didn't make it all the way to Scotland from Ireland

:00:54. > :00:56.when I was crossing, but I did go a really long way,

:00:57. > :00:58.I did 17 nautical miles in the end which

:00:59. > :01:00.was pretty gruelling, pretty tiring, I ate so much flapjack

:01:01. > :01:04.and chocolate, you would not believe.

:01:05. > :01:07.But we gave it a really, really good go but we

:01:08. > :01:11.But I just wanted to let you know that I'm

:01:12. > :01:15.rested and healthy and happy, and the Blue Peter crew

:01:16. > :01:18.were all here supporting me, I just ate a massive bowl of pasta

:01:28. > :01:39.The owners of Alton Towers theme park could be punished over

:01:40. > :01:41.an accident which seriously injured five people last year.

:01:42. > :01:43.The company has been told they will have to explain

:01:44. > :01:50.what happened on the Smiler ride in June.

:01:51. > :01:56.Alton Towers, one of the UK's biggest tourist attractions, with

:01:57. > :02:02.millions of people visiting every year. But in June, 2015, the rides

:02:03. > :02:07.were all closed and the park was empty. It was because of a crash

:02:08. > :02:11.which took place on this roller-coaster, the Smiler, which

:02:12. > :02:15.can travel at more than 50 mph. Two women lost a leg and three others

:02:16. > :02:20.were seriously injured, when their carriage hit an empty one that was

:02:21. > :02:25.standing still on the same track. The pain was undescribable. It hurts

:02:26. > :02:33.so much. I can still feel how it felt. Accident on roller-coaster 's

:02:34. > :02:38.are very rare. An investigation by the theme park found that the crash

:02:39. > :02:43.was caused by human error, when a worker wrongly restarted the right.

:02:44. > :02:49.The accident shut down the site, which is the size of 500 football

:02:50. > :02:53.pitches in Staffordshire and England, for four days. Alton Towers

:02:54. > :02:57.say it has since brought in a better safety measures but the owners,

:02:58. > :03:01.Merlin Attractions, will now have to answer questions about whether they

:03:02. > :03:03.broke rules which are there to keep people safe.

:04:06. > :04:15.Lulu joined Spain, the Netherlands and France in first

:04:27. > :04:32.from the UK to win with their single Save All Your Kisses For Me.

:04:33. > :04:34.The band Bucks Fizz who formed specifically for Eurovision

:04:37. > :04:48.And in 1997, Katrina and the Waves were the first

:04:49. > :04:54.Eurovision winning entry for 16 years.

:04:55. > :04:56.Five times is actually quite good but since 1997,

:04:57. > :04:59.the UK has done pretty badly, so why haven't we been

:05:00. > :05:03.Lately, the winner has always had an upbeat,

:05:04. > :05:12.up-tempo song or a downbeat ballad like Conchita a few years ago.

:05:13. > :05:13.Also there is more competition now, with

:05:14. > :05:17.more countries in the Eurovision Song Contest, plus a lot of people

:05:18. > :05:20.say that people only vote for their neighbours and our only

:05:21. > :05:21.real neighbours are Ireland so we are

:05:22. > :05:30.The competition takes place this year in Stockholm.

:05:31. > :05:32.I think the UK has a really good chance this year,

:05:33. > :05:34.better than in recent years because the

:05:35. > :05:39.The British public have a say on who we

:05:40. > :05:47.want to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song contest.
