0:00:18 > 0:00:21And -the scariest slide ever?

0:00:21 > 0:00:25And - the scariest slide ever?

0:00:25 > 0:00:27But first, we're live in London to find out more about the big

0:00:31 > 0:00:34decision the adults of the UK made to leave the European Union.

0:00:34 > 0:00:37Martin is there live for us now.

0:00:37 > 0:00:40Hi, Hayley.

0:00:40 > 0:00:42Well, yes, I'm live outside the Houses of

0:00:42 > 0:00:46Parliament this afternoon.

0:00:46 > 0:00:49On Friday, we found out that the UK had voted to leave

0:00:49 > 0:00:51a club of countries called the European Union.

0:00:51 > 0:00:57One of the big issues in the run-up to the vote was immigration.

0:00:57 > 0:01:03The Leave campaign says that the 3 million people from other

0:01:03 > 0:01:06EU countries already living here will be allowed to stay but,

0:01:06 > 0:01:08as I've been finding out, some people who have moved

0:01:08 > 0:01:12here are worried about what leaving the EU will mean for them.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15Hi, my name is Erin, my mum is from Ireland

0:01:15 > 0:01:16and I live in the UK.

0:01:16 > 0:01:19My name is Fia, my mum is Dutch, my dad is Australian,

0:01:19 > 0:01:21and I was born in America.

0:01:21 > 0:01:26My name is Serena, and, erm, I live in the UK.

0:01:26 > 0:01:28My mum is from Spain and my dad is from Ireland.

0:01:28 > 0:01:33How did you feel when you heard the news that the UK would be

0:01:33 > 0:01:38leaving the EU?

0:01:38 > 0:01:40I was quite sad.

0:01:40 > 0:01:42And I started crying a bit.

0:01:42 > 0:01:47Because I was really sad we left.

0:01:47 > 0:01:52We won't be part of the European Union.

0:01:52 > 0:01:57It's like not being part of, erm, a family.

0:01:57 > 0:02:01I feel slightly less welcome because I'm not part of the UK

0:02:01 > 0:02:05because the UK is not part of the European Union,

0:02:05 > 0:02:08and I was not born here or anything, I just live here.

0:02:08 > 0:02:12It's going to affect us a lot in the future, if we want to work

0:02:12 > 0:02:16in different countries.

0:02:16 > 0:02:19I'm really sad about the UK leaving the European Union, because I chose

0:02:19 > 0:02:24to live here, since '91.

0:02:24 > 0:02:28And I really love this country, but I obviously want to be able

0:02:28 > 0:02:31to travel between what used to be my home country and here.

0:02:31 > 0:02:38And I want you to be able to do so.

0:02:38 > 0:02:40So how will this affect you, Mum?

0:02:40 > 0:02:42Well, I don't know yet, I don't think anybody knows.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45I want to think that I am still welcome in this country,

0:02:45 > 0:02:49that I will be able to stay, and I suppose my main worry is for you.

0:02:49 > 0:02:52I am married to a British person carrying a British passport,

0:02:52 > 0:02:54so I think initially I am absolutely fine.

0:02:54 > 0:02:56But I am worried about you and your future,

0:02:56 > 0:03:05and the future of this country that we live in and love.

0:03:05 > 0:03:08So, some people have worries about what might happen,

0:03:08 > 0:03:10but it's important to say that lots of other people are happy

0:03:10 > 0:03:13about the decision and believe it will mean a better future

0:03:13 > 0:03:17for children in the UK.

0:03:17 > 0:03:19The people in charge of the Leave campaign say that whatever happens,

0:03:19 > 0:03:23people from EU countries will be able to stay here in Britain.

0:03:23 > 0:03:25There's loads more information over on the Newsround website,

0:03:25 > 0:03:29but for now, it's back to Hayley in the studio.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32Next, more European action, but this time on the footy pitch,

0:03:32 > 0:03:35and Wales made history last night, making it

0:03:35 > 0:03:37through to the quarterfinals of the European Championship.

0:03:37 > 0:03:45Here's Jenny.

0:03:45 > 0:03:46Come on, Northern Ireland!

0:03:46 > 0:03:48Come on, Wales!

0:03:48 > 0:03:50The French capital was full of excitement, as Wales took

0:03:50 > 0:03:53on Northern Ireland - the first time two Home Nations have

0:03:53 > 0:03:55met in the knockout stages of a major tournament.

0:03:55 > 0:03:58I think we should probably be afraid of Gareth Bale,

0:03:58 > 0:04:02but we have got Kyle Lafferty.

0:04:02 > 0:04:04I think the biggest threat on our side is Gareth Bale,

0:04:04 > 0:04:07as he's the fastest player in the world, he's worth ?85

0:04:07 > 0:04:10million, and when he gets the ball, he's guaranteed to do something

0:04:10 > 0:04:13With a place in the quarterfinals up for grabs, the first

0:04:13 > 0:04:15half was very tense.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18In the second half, Gareth Bale tested Michael McGovern

0:04:18 > 0:04:20with this free kick.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23And then, in the 75th minute, Bale produced a brilliant cross,

0:04:23 > 0:04:25which was turned into his own net by Gareth McAuley.

0:04:25 > 0:04:29Chris Coleman's men managed to hold onto their lead,

0:04:29 > 0:04:32and the game finished 1-0 to Wales, so the dream is over

0:04:32 > 0:04:35for Northern Ireland.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37Northern Ireland won many times, and sometimes they win

0:04:37 > 0:04:42and sometimes they lose it.

0:04:42 > 0:04:45I am really proud of them for helping us.

0:04:45 > 0:04:47But the fairy tale goes on for Wales.

0:04:47 > 0:04:53I feel because really good because we haven't gone

0:04:53 > 0:04:57I feel really good because we haven't gone

0:04:57 > 0:04:59to a quarterfinal since 1958, when we went to the World Cup.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02Wales now meet either Belgium or Hungary in Lille on Friday

0:05:02 > 0:05:04for a place in the semifinals.

0:05:04 > 0:05:10Can you go all the way? Yes.

0:05:10 > 0:05:13But last night's action didn't stop when the whistle went.

0:05:13 > 0:05:16This little lady decided to head onto the pitch to see her dad,

0:05:16 > 0:05:17Welsh striker Gareth Bale.

0:05:17 > 0:05:19Tiny Alba Violet seemed pretty excited about the whole thing,

0:05:19 > 0:05:25and even took some time to hang out upside down.

0:05:25 > 0:05:27How cute is she?!

0:05:27 > 0:05:29Now take a look at this view!

0:05:29 > 0:05:32Pretty incredible, but would you be brave enough to slide down this

0:05:32 > 0:05:37glass slope on the 70th floor of a skyscraper in LA?

0:05:37 > 0:05:40The glass is only as thick as a book, and it's a pretty

0:05:40 > 0:05:44long way down.

0:05:44 > 0:05:50But it is built to withstand strong winds and earthquakes.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53Apparently!

0:05:53 > 0:05:54That's all from me.

0:05:54 > 0:05:56Newsround is back right here just after two.

0:05:56 > 0:05:58See you then.
