0:00:35 > 0:00:38backstroke, and Scotland's Daniel Wallace, who stormed to victory in

0:00:43 > 0:00:48But at just 19 years old, it was Ben Proud who stood out as he broke the

0:00:48 > 0:00:54British and Commonwealth record to win the 50m Butterfly for England.

0:01:41 > 0:01:47all triumphed while Scotland's Sarah Clark won the women's 63kg final.

0:01:47 > 0:01:51And there was good news for Wales as Francesca Jones took the silver

0:01:51 > 0:01:54medal in the rhythmic gymnastics individual all-around final.

0:02:17 > 0:02:21So we asked the kids of Scotland's biggest city to tell us what makes

0:02:24 > 0:02:27I love Glasgow because there's so many things to see,

0:02:27 > 0:02:29like the Armadillo.

0:02:29 > 0:02:36I am never bored here and I love it.

0:02:36 > 0:02:37It is a beautiful city.

0:02:37 > 0:02:39The people are so friendly.

0:02:39 > 0:02:42There's loads of things to do.

0:02:42 > 0:02:46It is quite homely and everybody is so kind.

0:02:46 > 0:02:52It is rainy and I like the rain!

0:02:52 > 0:02:54I am excited to see lots of world-class athletes coming from

0:02:54 > 0:02:56Commonwealth countries to our city.

0:02:56 > 0:02:59It will encourage people to do more sport.

0:02:59 > 0:03:03The people from Glasgow will become more sportier.

0:03:03 > 0:03:07Everybody around the world coming to Glasgow and it will be hard

0:03:07 > 0:03:10for my mum to park her car!

0:03:10 > 0:03:13I will make lots of new friends and I'm excited.

0:04:03 > 0:04:07The giant girl was even giving rides to some brave kids, and it seems the

0:04:11 > 0:04:14After the massive success of last year's Doctor Who prom concert,

0:04:14 > 0:04:16the BBC Philharmonic orchestra wants to bring classical music to

0:04:16 > 0:04:19a brand new, younger, audience.

0:04:19 > 0:04:22So they've turned to kids' TV shows, with the Cbeebies prom!

0:04:26 > 0:04:29You may recognise some of these tunes from your favourite

0:04:29 > 0:04:32CBeebies and CBBC programmes.

0:04:32 > 0:04:36But they don't usually look like this.

0:04:36 > 0:04:41The BBC Proms is one of the world's biggest classical musical festivals

0:04:41 > 0:04:45and it is hoping it can use some of the popular kids shows to get

0:04:45 > 0:04:49a younger audience through the doors of the Royal Albert Hall.

0:04:51 > 0:04:56I liked the songs when Robert the Robot was up on those things

0:04:56 > 0:05:00and we done that ding dong.

0:05:00 > 0:05:02It is not only kids who are there.

0:05:02 > 0:05:04CBeebies characters and presenters are getting involved

0:05:40 > 0:05:44I would hope it will open their eyes to the fact that real live musicians

0:05:44 > 0:05:47play music they hear all the time and if that inspires them

0:05:47 > 0:05:48to take up an instrument, great.

0:05:48 > 0:05:53But the best bit about the Proms is just joining in with the music.
