:00:37. > :00:46.When World War II broke out in 1939, Germany was run
:00:47. > :00:48.Hitler thought Jewish people were inferior,
:00:49. > :00:54.Anti-Jewish laws were passed, Jewish shops had their windows smashed,
:00:55. > :00:58.and Jewish people were forced out of their homes.
:00:59. > :01:01.The Nazis rounded up millions of Jews, as well as disabled people,
:01:02. > :01:04.gay people, and other groups Hitler thought were inferior,
:01:05. > :01:08.and sent them to prisons called concentration camps.
:01:09. > :01:11.Families were split up, forced to do hard physical work,
:01:12. > :01:17.Millions of people were deliberately killed there.
:01:18. > :01:19.It's thought nearly seven out of every ten Jews
:01:20. > :01:23.Some children did manage to escape Nazi Germany.
:01:24. > :01:27.Ruth was one of those who managed to escape.
:01:28. > :01:29.Street by street Jews were cleared, and any moment
:01:30. > :01:36.We opened the door to a woman from the British Embassy
:01:37. > :01:41.She bought the entry visa to Britain, train tickets
:01:42. > :01:44.to get through Germany, through Holland, and
:01:45. > :01:52.Heinz also managed to escape the Holocaust.
:01:53. > :02:01.He tried very hard to get me a trainee post and finally
:02:02. > :02:07.We managed to get visas for our parents and they came,
:02:08. > :02:11.thank God, because four days later war broke out.
:02:12. > :02:13.Every year, people remember those who lost their
:02:14. > :02:19.It helps teach us about these terrible events, and make sure
:02:20. > :02:25.they're not forgotten so that they can never happen again.

:02:28. > :02:32.Now, Tim Peake is going to be heading back into space!
:02:33. > :02:34.But not just yet - he made the announcement
:02:35. > :02:37.while showing off the capsule which took him up to
:02:38. > :02:39.the International Space Station, and you've been having
:02:40. > :02:48.And the great news is the European Space Agency and the UK
:02:49. > :02:51.are going to be involved in that Space Station programme until 2024,
:02:52. > :02:54.so that gives myself and my other classmates of 2009 a second
:02:55. > :02:56.opportunity to go back to the Space Station.
:02:57. > :02:58.Tim made history last year when he became the first person
:02:59. > :03:01.representing Britain to live on the International Space Station.
:03:02. > :03:03.During the six months he spent orbiting Earth,
:03:04. > :03:08.he became the first British astronaut to do a spacewalk.
:03:09. > :03:10.He ran a marathon up there, he even explained
:03:11. > :03:16.Take the cap off, turn on the fan, and the airflow keeps everything
:03:17. > :03:24.And also, for number two, the airflow does the same thing.
:03:25. > :03:50.How excited are you that Tim is going back to space?
:03:51. > :03:53.I think it's really exciting and quite brave, because he's just
:03:54. > :03:55.got back and he's not seen his family for ages.
:03:56. > :03:57.I think there will be lots of adventures coming up for Tim Peake
:03:58. > :04:00.and it will be fun. I think it's going to be a chance
:04:01. > :04:04.for him to do whatever he didn't do So what should he do
:04:05. > :04:08.this time around? I would like to see him sing and
:04:09. > :04:15.uploaded all to YouTube. I'd like to see him
:04:16. > :04:20.do the dad challenge. I would like to see him break a
:04:21. > :04:27.world record and let it go viral. I want to see him do a bottle flip
:04:28. > :04:30.and land it, because in space, because of the zero gravity,
:04:31. > :04:36.it might not land, and also it's I went to see him learn at least one
:04:37. > :04:40.Well, we know he's going back, but how will he get there?
:04:41. > :04:42.We know he won't be using his old space capsule,
:04:43. > :04:44.that's now sitting in the National Science Museum
:04:45. > :04:47.in London, so you can go and imagine what going into space
:04:48. > :04:53.Now, zoo staff are helping this rare sea turtle is on its way to recovery
:04:54. > :04:56.after it got a little bit lost last year.
:04:57. > :04:58.The turtle, called Menai, was found washed up on a beach
:04:59. > :05:00.in Wales in November, and was rescued by wildlife
:05:01. > :05:09.Menai is a rare Olive Ridley turtle, which are usually found in much
:05:10. > :05:13.Vets are giving her lots of checks to make sure she is healthy,
:05:14. > :05:16.She's starting to eat really, really well now.
:05:17. > :05:18.She's demolishing a couple of kilos of calamari a day.
:05:19. > :05:21.And she's a real personality, she likes to see us.
:05:22. > :05:24.She seems to recognise people, she knows what's going on.
:05:25. > :05:27.You might have heard of a mobile library,
:05:28. > :05:33.Well, more than 1200 people in Belgium lent a hand to move
:05:34. > :05:38.They formed a human chain over a distance of 250 metres to take
:05:39. > :05:50.How brilliant is that? Fantastic idea.
