:00:13. > :00:15.Good morning, Ricky here with your Monday Newsround.
:00:16. > :00:17.First - the prime minister and the country's politicians will
:00:18. > :00:21.today start working out what to do, after adults voted last week
:00:22. > :00:26.for the UK to leave the club of 28 countries called the European Union.
:00:27. > :00:35.Martin's been in London, looking into one of the big issues.
:00:36. > :00:42.On Friday, we learned that UK decided to vote leave a club of
:00:43. > :00:47.countries called the European union. One other big issues in this was
:00:48. > :00:52.immigration, that when people decide to leave one country to live in
:00:53. > :00:55.another. The people in charge of the Leave campaign say people from EU
:00:56. > :01:00.countries already living here won't be asked to leave, but as I been
:01:01. > :01:05.crying out, people are worried about what the decision means for them. I
:01:06. > :01:14.spoke to some kids whose parents are from some EU countries, and they are
:01:15. > :01:18.worried. My mum is from Ireland and live in the UK. My mum is Dutch, my
:01:19. > :01:27.dad is Australian, and I was born in America. I live in the UK, my mum is
:01:28. > :01:35.from Spain and my dad is from Ireland. How did you feel when you
:01:36. > :01:48.hit the UK were leaving? I was quite sad. I started crying a bit. I was
:01:49. > :01:56.really sad we left. It is not being part of a family. I feel slightly
:01:57. > :02:03.less welcomed because I am not part of the UK, because the UK is not
:02:04. > :02:08.part of the European union. I wasn't born here, I just live here. It will
:02:09. > :02:13.affect us in the future. It will affect if you want to live in a
:02:14. > :02:17.different country. I chose to live here since 1991, and I really love
:02:18. > :02:21.this country, but I want to be able to travel between what used to be my
:02:22. > :02:28.home country and here, and I want you to be able to do so. How will
:02:29. > :02:32.this affect you? Well, I don't know yet, I didn't think anyone knows. I
:02:33. > :02:38.want to think I'm still welcomed in this country, I will be able to stay
:02:39. > :02:44.and my main worry is for you. I carry a British passport, so I am
:02:45. > :02:49.fine. I don't know about you and your future. And the future of this
:02:50. > :02:54.country we live in and love. Some able worried about what is going to
:02:55. > :02:57.happen, but it is also important to say that some people are happy with
:02:58. > :03:02.the result because they think it means a better future for children
:03:03. > :03:06.living in the UK, but the people in charge of the league campaign say no
:03:07. > :03:08.matter what happens, people from EU countries will be allowed to live
:03:09. > :03:10.here in the future. And the result of the referendum
:03:11. > :03:25.is big news in Scotland as well. Morning, Ricky. It is big news in
:03:26. > :03:30.Scotland. That's because last week the UK as a whole voted to leave the
:03:31. > :03:34.European Union, whereas in Scotland most of the people voted to stay in
:03:35. > :03:38.the European union. There are big questions over whether or not
:03:39. > :03:41.Scotland should become an independent country separate to the
:03:42. > :03:49.UK. Joining me here our kids from the school to tell me more about
:03:50. > :03:53.what they think. What do you think, should they be independent? I think
:03:54. > :03:58.we should because we have more control. What did you think about
:03:59. > :04:03.the boat? I think we shouldn't be part of the EU, so Europe and
:04:04. > :04:09.Britain can associate and make cheaper prices for Britain. Do you
:04:10. > :04:15.think there should be an independent Scotland? There should, so that when
:04:16. > :04:24.we leave the UK we can go back into Europe and pay less money. What
:04:25. > :04:28.about you? I think we should have stayed in the EU because leaving the
:04:29. > :04:32.EU will affect the trading partners and the amount of budget we have.
:04:33. > :04:37.Thank you very much, guides, lots of interesting comments. As you can
:04:38. > :04:40.see, there were lots of people with different views, and that big vote
:04:41. > :04:43.is having a big effect everywhere you look.
:04:44. > :04:48.And if you want to find out more about the EU and the big vote,
:04:49. > :04:50.then at Newsround online we have a special section
:04:51. > :04:52.with what you need to know, including answers to some
:04:53. > :04:55.of your questions about what the result means.
:04:56. > :04:59.We're back at 8:15, where we'll have Jenny live in France with the latest
:05:00. > :05:02.on England and their Euros match tonight.
