0:00:06 > 0:00:08Hi, I'm Leah with your Tuesday morning Newsround.

0:00:08 > 0:00:09Coming up in the next few...

0:00:09 > 0:00:13We find out why koalas need our help.

0:00:13 > 0:00:18And the lobster that gave this man the shock of his life.

0:00:26 > 0:00:28First, it's a big night for England's Under-21 football team

0:00:28 > 0:00:31who play Germany in the semifinals of the European Championships.

0:00:31 > 0:00:37The match is taking place in Poland this evening with Nathaniel Chalobah

0:00:37 > 0:00:40and Nathan Redmond facing a race against time in late fitness tests

0:00:40 > 0:00:43to be fit for the match.

0:00:43 > 0:00:49The game will be a repeat of the 2009 final which Germany won 4-0.

0:00:49 > 0:00:52Good news for Britain's Heather Watson who beat world number nine

0:00:52 > 0:00:55Dominika Cibulkova in Eastbourne.

0:00:55 > 0:00:57In a thrilling match, Heather held her nerve

0:00:57 > 0:01:01to win in two tight sets.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04Her win means she's reached the last 16 in the tournament and knocked out

0:01:04 > 0:01:05the defending champion.

0:01:05 > 0:01:10Good preparation for Wimbledon then, which starts next week.

0:01:10 > 0:01:12Now, they're one of Australia's famous species.

0:01:12 > 0:01:15But koalas are having a bit of a hard time at the moment,

0:01:15 > 0:01:16as Ayshah's been finding out.

0:01:16 > 0:01:18Eat...

0:01:18 > 0:01:20sleep...

0:01:20 > 0:01:22repeat.

0:01:22 > 0:01:29This is what koalas are known for.

0:01:29 > 0:01:32Since 2012, koalas have been listed as a vulnerable species

0:01:32 > 0:01:36and now their numbers have fallen further.

0:01:36 > 0:01:39Today, there are fewer than 40,000 left in the wild.

0:01:39 > 0:01:46Mainly because of things like dog attacks, cars, vanishing habitats.

0:01:46 > 0:01:50Koalas have declined by 50% in the last 15-20 years.

0:01:50 > 0:01:57The very area that they want to get in and absolutely hammer is the very

0:01:57 > 0:02:00area that is the highest koala habitat quality.

0:02:00 > 0:02:03So, logging and deforestation is a big issue for koala

0:02:03 > 0:02:05conservationists, but it's not the only problem.

0:02:05 > 0:02:10Researchers say coastal gum trees, where the koalas live

0:02:10 > 0:02:12and eat, could be affected by rising sea levels.

0:02:12 > 0:02:16And if that happens, the tasty leaves of the trees

0:02:16 > 0:02:21will not be able to be eaten.

0:02:21 > 0:02:24But there are a few ideas people are looking at to protect koalas

0:02:24 > 0:02:27and their habitat in the future.

0:02:27 > 0:02:31Like huge koala parks to help those that are at risk and stopping

0:02:31 > 0:02:35logging in certain areas.

0:02:35 > 0:02:38So, hopefully, this will help them do what they normally do -

0:02:38 > 0:02:44eat, sleep, and repeat.

0:02:45 > 0:02:48This rocket had a very busy weekend.

0:02:48 > 0:02:52The SpaceX mission launched from Florida and California

0:02:52 > 0:02:55in the US, marking a new age for space travel!

0:02:55 > 0:02:56Ricky has more.

0:02:56 > 0:03:02Getting a satellite into space is a challenge.

0:03:02 > 0:03:08But it's getting easier and a lot cheaper.

0:03:08 > 0:03:15This is the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in action over the weekend.

0:03:15 > 0:03:19It just completed two missions in 48 hours, delivering ten

0:03:19 > 0:03:24satellites into orbit.

0:03:24 > 0:03:26So, what's so special about the Falcon 9 rocket?

0:03:26 > 0:03:28Well, it can be used time and time again.

0:03:28 > 0:03:32It's unmanned.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35Once it has released all of its cargo,...

0:03:35 > 0:03:38Looks like it did have good recovery...

0:03:38 > 0:03:43..it can return back to Earth, usually on the landing zone,

0:03:43 > 0:03:47a floating ship on water just like this one.

0:03:47 > 0:03:49But SpaceX has just started to successfully land

0:03:49 > 0:03:53rockets on solid ground.

0:03:55 > 0:03:59The company continues to break boundaries.

0:03:59 > 0:04:05They even have plans to send tourists around the moon.

0:04:05 > 0:04:07And some good news for the Yellowstone

0:04:07 > 0:04:08grizzly bear in America.

0:04:08 > 0:04:11After years of being under threat and on the endangered species list,

0:04:11 > 0:04:16with only 136 left, their population has enjoyed a boost and experts

0:04:16 > 0:04:20believe there's more than 700 now.

0:04:20 > 0:04:23They'll soon be taken off the list of animals in trouble.

0:04:23 > 0:04:27Finally, if you're flying off to somewhere hot this summer,

0:04:27 > 0:04:29once you break up from school, things you might NOT

0:04:29 > 0:04:31want to put in your bag...

0:04:31 > 0:04:34A massive lobster like this!

0:04:34 > 0:04:36Security staff found this crustacean after they took a look

0:04:36 > 0:04:37in a passenger's bag.

0:04:37 > 0:04:40It was very much alive and it was travelling

0:04:40 > 0:04:42in a cooler in checked luggage.

0:04:42 > 0:04:45He was allowed to continue to his final destination -

0:04:45 > 0:04:48after a quick photo was taken, of course!

0:04:48 > 0:04:50That's all from me.

0:04:50 > 0:04:56Newsround's back right here in about half an hour.

0:05:05 > 0:05:08The Dumping Ground: I'm Kazima is on the way next and don't forget,

0:05:08 > 0:05:11today, our Fave at 5 is The Next Step.
