:03:02. > :03:07.More and more, robots are doing jobs that people used to do.

:03:08. > :03:09.While that can be good news when it comes to jobs

:03:10. > :03:12.that people don't like, could it mean there aren't enough

:03:13. > :03:16.That's what 11-year-old Newsrounder Jasmine

:03:17. > :03:24.Me and my friends are worried about robots taking over

:03:25. > :03:27.our jobs in the future, so I've come to Bristol Robotics lab

:03:28. > :03:33.How are robots changing the types of job people have?

:03:34. > :03:38.So we're seeing a lot more robots in jobs that don't

:03:39. > :03:42.Like, I went to San Francisco recently and there's a cafe there,

:03:43. > :03:44.where all the coffees are made by robots.

:03:45. > :03:47.Do you think the changes are good thing or a bad thing?

:03:48. > :03:51.We're seeing more and more robots designed for helping people,

:03:52. > :03:53.so going in if there's a natural disaster and

:03:54. > :03:59.If robots can be used for good, that's great.

:04:00. > :04:02.But we are seeing people losing their jobs and that's

:04:03. > :04:06.In the future, we possibly won't need to drive cars,

:04:07. > :04:11.What happens to people like taxi or lorry drivers

:04:12. > :04:18.If you have a driverless car, you don't really need the driver.

:04:19. > :04:22.So we really need to look very carefully at what other jobs we can

:04:23. > :04:24.find for these people, to make sure that they

:04:25. > :04:28.Would you like to have a go in the simulator?

:04:29. > :04:35.It sees the other car coming from the right,

:04:36. > :04:39.it stops, it makes sure that we have no accident.

:04:40. > :04:43.All types of jobs could be taken over by robots.

:04:44. > :04:46.What can I do to prepare for the changes in the future?

:04:47. > :04:49.I think we know that there are going to be some jobs that

:04:50. > :04:55.If you're a nurse, if you're a carer, it's very, very difficult

:04:56. > :05:01.for a robot to really have that human interaction and also,

:05:02. > :05:04.we need people that are programming the robots, hopefully for good

:05:05. > :05:10.I think robots are good, because they help people

:05:11. > :05:12.with disabilities and I also think they're bad, because

:05:13. > :05:18.Staying with robots - and check out the view

:05:19. > :05:22.They're competing to be the fastest around

:05:23. > :05:25.this obstacle course at the World Robot conference.
