:01:35. > :01:38.celebrities, politicians, even Royalty. It's OK to suffer as long
:01:39. > :01:44.as you talk about it. So you would think it would be easy for me to
:01:45. > :01:48.talk about the problems. It's not. I didn't tell anyone how I was feeling
:01:49. > :01:53.for over a year and things got pretty bad. Now I want to find out
:01:54. > :01:54.why it's so hard to talk about mental health problems and what's
:01:55. > :02:08.being done to make it better. Josh is in the studio with us this
:02:09. > :02:11.morning. Good to finally meet you, Josh, I watched the team put your
:02:12. > :02:23.special together. Happy to be here? Cool. Good stuff. Why did you think
:02:24. > :02:27.it was important to talk about it? The moment I told my dad I felt
:02:28. > :02:31.immediately tonnes better because it's a massive weight taken off your
:02:32. > :02:34.shoulders. It's important to get the message out that the earlier you
:02:35. > :02:38.talk about it, the easier it is to deal with. You story is being turned
:02:39. > :02:45.into an animation. Shall we take a look? Have a look at this. When I
:02:46. > :02:49.was 11, I started to worry about bad things happening. The only thing
:02:50. > :02:57.that made me feel better was washing my hands. I'd wash them all the
:02:58. > :03:04.time. I didn't think anything was wrong. I just thought I was a bit
:03:05. > :03:10.odd. I found myself needing to write every three lines and certain
:03:11. > :03:14.numbers really freaked me out. People at school noticed and asked
:03:15. > :03:20.me what I was doing. I couldn't explain to them because I didn't
:03:21. > :03:25.understand what was happening to me. I felt embarrassed So you felt
:03:26. > :03:29.embarrassed. It took you a long time to talk to your dad in the first
:03:30. > :03:35.place and tell him what was up. Why did it take that long? I think it
:03:36. > :03:40.was because I didn't know what I had was OCD and I just thought that I
:03:41. > :03:45.was a bit odd and I was worried that if I told someone they didn't
:03:46. > :03:49.understand, I'd get shut down and would be on my own for ever. You
:03:50. > :03:53.worried about your mates as well didn't you, you struggled to tell
:03:54. > :03:57.one of your closest friends, how did she deal with it? She was brilliant.
:03:58. > :04:01.She was very caring but didn't change the way she behaved towards
:04:02. > :04:06.me, she wasn't overnice, she didn't avoid me, she kept everything the
:04:07. > :04:09.same which helps mental health problems be nor more national
:04:10. > :04:16.because they are normal in every day life now. -- more normal. How should
:04:17. > :04:20.people deal with their friends or relatives who suffer with a mental
:04:21. > :04:24.health problem? The important thing is, talk to them, but don't force it
:04:25. > :04:28.on them, don't go straight up and go "have you got a mental health
:04:29. > :04:33.problem", just talk to them if they are feeling anxious, sad or
:04:34. > :04:36.depressed. Talking is the best way to share how you feel. Really cool
