:00:00. > :00:00.Hello, Leah here with Newsround, live!

:00:00. > :00:17.The boys? world tour touches down in the UK tonight.

:00:18. > :00:22.First up, something we don't usually expect you to dig - gardening!

:00:23. > :00:26.But a recent report found that only one in five kids were connected to

:00:27. > :00:28.nature and the Royal Horticultural Society believe

:00:29. > :00:31.that gardening itself can help kids develop and learn important things

:00:32. > :00:54.When it comes to the group -- world of gardening, nobody does it better

:00:55. > :00:57.or is more famous for it than the Chelsea Flower Show in London.

:00:58. > :01:01.Thousands of people flocked here every year to see the gorgeous

:01:02. > :01:04.greenery and the people behind it, the Royal Hall trickle -- Royal

:01:05. > :01:10.Horticultural Society things gardening can teach children a lot

:01:11. > :01:14.more than just planting a few bulbs. Nowadays, fewer kids have access to

:01:15. > :01:18.green spaces. One school has taken the green fingers challenge to the

:01:19. > :01:21.next level. These kids from East London have built a green oasis

:01:22. > :01:28.amongst the surrounding concrete jungle. I found it really fun when I

:01:29. > :01:34.started gardening because I like the feel of the soil and looking at the

:01:35. > :01:39.seedlings in germination. Sometimes I like gardening more than playing

:01:40. > :01:43.in the playground. It helps me learn things I don't learn anywhere else

:01:44. > :01:47.and it's very fun because you can dig around. It's important because

:01:48. > :01:52.it gives people the opportunity to connect with nature. But can

:01:53. > :01:56.gardening help you learn skills for school? They are learning how to

:01:57. > :02:01.work as a team and how to nurture plants. We did a maths lesson where

:02:02. > :02:05.we build some new planters and they had to calculate how much soil went

:02:06. > :02:09.into the planters, so it was a lesson about volume. Not every

:02:10. > :02:13.school can afford a potting paradise. They need to spend money

:02:14. > :02:18.elsewhere and it can be expensive to start up, but with almost 20,000

:02:19. > :02:21.schools already involved in the campaign for school gardening,

:02:22. > :02:24.progress has been made. It's now much more likely that a green

:02:25. > :02:31.fingers project could be hitting a playground near you. Lovely.

:02:32. > :02:36.That's right a vehicle with no steering wheel or no brakes.

:02:37. > :02:39.Sounds like something from the future, right?

:02:40. > :02:42.Well, it may not be that far off because

:02:43. > :02:48.Google has announced it's going to start building self-driving cars.

:02:49. > :02:51.The company plans to build 100 vehicles, which will just

:02:52. > :02:55.Some people say driverless cars could reduce car crashes,

:02:56. > :03:00.but some researchers believe they could make traffic worse.

:03:01. > :03:08.He is the man with a hat behind one of the biggest songs in the past

:03:09. > :03:11.year, Farrell Williams, the producer of Happy has been talking about

:03:12. > :03:17.writing the song and how hard it was. How do you make a song about a

:03:18. > :03:23.guy that is so happy that it is basically relentless? I found that

:03:24. > :03:26.very difficult. I ended up writing nine different attempts, nine

:03:27. > :03:34.different songs to try and fit the scene and nothing worked, so I asked

:03:35. > :03:35.myself on the 10th time that the answer was in the question all

:03:36. > :03:36.along. Some footie news now, and Spurs have

:03:37. > :03:40.a new manager, Mauricio Pochettino. You may recognise him

:03:41. > :03:42.because last season he was in charge of Southampton, who he

:03:43. > :03:45.guided to eighth in the league. The Argentine has agreed

:03:46. > :03:48.a five-year deal at the club and becomes Tottenham's tenth

:03:49. > :03:50.manager since 2001. Tennis, and Britain's Number one

:03:51. > :03:53.Andy Murray is through to the The Wimbledon champ came through in

:03:54. > :03:58.four sets after dropping the third. In the women's draw,

:03:59. > :04:01.Heather Watson won her ninth game in The British number two won

:04:02. > :04:06.in straight sets. The 1D boys head to Sunderland today

:04:07. > :04:09.for their first date Around 50,000 fans are expected

:04:10. > :04:14.at the Stadium of Light later today The boys will then head to

:04:15. > :04:19.Manchester, Edinburgh and Wembley Make sure you tune into Newsround

:04:20. > :04:22.at 4:20pm, where Martin will be live

:04:23. > :04:25.in Sunderland catching up with some Now if you love pumpkins

:04:26. > :04:31.but only think they're something to People

:04:32. > :04:34.in Australia have been celebrating all things pumpkin-related,

:04:35. > :04:37.like rolling them down a hill The celebration

:04:38. > :04:42.of the humble pumpkin began with a festival designed to bring people

:04:43. > :04:45.together in the local community. Now it's

:04:46. > :04:48.so popular they do it every year. That's all from me, but head over to

:04:49. > :04:52.the Newsround website to see what happened when Martin met

:04:53. > :04:54.the oldest cat in the world. CBBC is totally A-May-Zing

:04:55. > :05:24.this half term.
