:00:00. > :00:00.Martin here with your Newsround update.
:00:00. > :00:16.First, we've been talking to a doctor from the UK who's been in
:00:17. > :00:22.It's a deadly virus that's taken the lives of 1,500 people there.
:00:23. > :00:24.At the weekend, an English nurse was flown back to
:00:25. > :00:27.the UK for specialist treatment after picking up the disease
:00:28. > :00:30.But health experts say it's extremely unlikely it could
:00:31. > :00:33.spread here because UK healthcare is much more advanced.
:00:34. > :00:36.So what is it that makes so many doctors and nurses risk their
:00:37. > :00:50.My name is Natalie, and I am a children's doctor. I've recently
:00:51. > :00:54.returned from Liberia, and experience that has changed my life,
:00:55. > :01:01.and I don't think I will be the same again. From the time I landed in
:01:02. > :01:05.Liberia, it was very clear there was an epidemic of the Ebola virus that
:01:06. > :01:09.wasn't under control, it was getting worse. There was a lot of fear in
:01:10. > :01:14.the country. When I arrived, I looked after patients straight
:01:15. > :01:19.away, and I worked every single day for two weeks. Had to wear special
:01:20. > :01:24.equipment to protect myself from getting the Ebola virus. It was
:01:25. > :01:28.tiring and exhausting, and at times frightening. But it was also very
:01:29. > :01:32.rewarding to see patients get better. William came to Allah
:01:33. > :01:36.treatment centre fairly early on when he was unwell, and he did very
:01:37. > :01:40.well and he went on to survive and be discharged from our unit, and he
:01:41. > :01:44.has now been reunited with his family. My friends and family were
:01:45. > :01:48.obviously worried when I said I was going to Liberia to work with
:01:49. > :01:55.patients with Ebola. But they were supportive and they understood the
:01:56. > :01:58.need that people in Liberia had as well for doctors. We care about our
:01:59. > :02:03.patients and he carob out people that are unwell. It is why we train
:02:04. > :02:07.to become doctors and nurses. And it's very difficult for us when
:02:08. > :02:10.patients are not receiving good medical care, doctors and nurses
:02:11. > :02:14.around the world who have the skills that are needed want to go and help
:02:15. > :02:16.to make sure the care the patients are receiving is as good as it can
:02:17. > :02:16.be. You've told us why you're happy
:02:17. > :02:18.after a survey found children in England aren't
:02:19. > :02:20.as satisfied with their lives The Children's Society asked
:02:21. > :02:49.thousands of kids in countries I like going on holiday with my
:02:50. > :02:54.friends and family because I get to play with my friends and it is
:02:55. > :02:58.really fun. I like playing football with daddy. Children in England say
:02:59. > :03:00.they have good friends, strong family relations, they love their
:03:01. > :03:04.homes and they think they have enough cash but they worry about
:03:05. > :03:08.body image, bullying and being judged by others. One of the real
:03:09. > :03:13.problems is they worry about how they look, their appearance,
:03:14. > :03:17.especially if they think people are going to bully them for the way they
:03:18. > :03:21.look. English children say they are happiest when they have good,
:03:22. > :03:47.loving, supportive relationships. On the website, Amber says...
:03:48. > :03:54.Well, netball makes me happy because I get to use loads of energy running
:03:55. > :03:57.around. It's hard to measure happiness but wherever you live,
:03:58. > :03:59.friends and family seem the most important.
:04:00. > :04:01.One of the top job's in football's gone to Wayne Rooney.
:04:02. > :04:03.He's the new England captain after Steven Gerrard,
:04:04. > :04:12.Rooney made his England debut in 2003, aged just 17.
:04:13. > :04:15.He had the biggest selling Premier League football shirt over
:04:16. > :04:20.And now he's landed his dream job, England football captain.
:04:21. > :04:34.With his cats and all the goals he scored and all the things he's done
:04:35. > :04:39.from such a young age, we have seen that he is prepared to take up the
:04:40. > :04:44.responsibility and continue to push on in his career.
:04:45. > :04:49."As a kid I always loved watching a big England game on the TV.
:04:50. > :04:53.To be appointed captain is beyond my wildest dreams."
:04:54. > :05:01.That's all from me, Newsround's back in the morning and on the web.
