0:02:10 > 0:02:15That's because I'm a leapling - born on the 29th of February.

0:02:15 > 0:02:19A leap year is where, in February, there is an extra day,

0:02:19 > 0:02:22and that counts as the 29th.

0:02:22 > 0:02:24If you are born in a leap year

0:02:24 > 0:02:26and you have a birthday on that day,

0:02:26 > 0:02:29it only comes around once every four years.

0:02:29 > 0:02:31I was four when I had my first birthday.

0:02:31 > 0:02:36And I've had to wait until now for my second ever birthday.

0:03:17 > 0:03:21and I play for the Great Britain women's basketball team.

0:03:21 > 0:03:23I came into basketball from birth, really.

0:03:23 > 0:03:25My dad was still playing when I was born.

0:03:25 > 0:03:29Growing up, my brother was playing, so I wanted to copy my big brother.

0:03:29 > 0:03:32I was about seven when I started playing for a local league team.

0:03:32 > 0:03:35It is a privilege, having two people in your life

0:03:35 > 0:03:37who played at such a high level.

0:03:37 > 0:03:38It's great.

0:03:38 > 0:03:40I just want to absorb everything they say.

0:03:40 > 0:03:43What I love about basketball is just the hustle, the competitiveness

0:03:43 > 0:03:45and the winning.

0:03:45 > 0:03:46I love winning.

0:03:46 > 0:03:48Basketball has helped my confidence a lot, growing up.

0:03:48 > 0:03:51I was a little bit overweight when I was younger,

0:03:51 > 0:03:53and sometimes when I have a bad game,

0:03:56 > 0:03:58But, coming here and having team-mates like these girls

0:04:01 > 0:04:04They've been so helpful, and I just want careers like theirs.
