:00:00. > :00:00.Hi, I'm Hayley with your Newsround update this Tuesday morning.
:00:07. > :00:28.First, we're heading to the United States where everyone
:00:29. > :00:33.is talking about who might be the next leader of the country.
:00:34. > :00:35.Americans will vote for their new President in November,
:00:36. > :00:39.but there's one person who is making all the headlines at the moment -
:00:40. > :00:56.Here is an old trunk? One of America's most famous businessmen
:00:57. > :01:03.and he's trying to become the next US President. You are fired. Go...
:01:04. > :01:10.Up until now, he was mostly known as being a reality TV star. If you want
:01:11. > :01:15.to family... Go right ahead. You are fired. But now he has a serious
:01:16. > :01:18.chance of being the President and that is attracting huge attention
:01:19. > :01:23.from around the world, because of the things he says, which are
:01:24. > :01:27.controversial. He has been tough on immigration and wants to build a
:01:28. > :01:31.wall between America and Mexico to stop illegal immigrants from getting
:01:32. > :01:37.in. I would build a great war and nobody bowls worth that than me. He
:01:38. > :01:40.has also called for a ban on Muslims coming into the US. His message to
:01:41. > :01:45.make America great has gone down well with lots of voters who think
:01:46. > :01:50.he is a strong leader. But the people are worried, saying he is
:01:51. > :01:55.racist and dangerous. Now there has been violence at some of his big
:01:56. > :02:00.events with clashes breaking out between protesters and supporters.
:02:01. > :02:04.Donald Trump's opponents say he says things to encourage violence, he
:02:05. > :02:07.says he has not. A lot of people are worried that this year's collection
:02:08. > :02:09.will divide the country. You can find more on the US
:02:10. > :02:12.presidential contest online, including a full guide to how
:02:13. > :02:15.the American elections work and get to know more about everyone
:02:16. > :02:17.still in the race to become Experts are keeping a very close eye
:02:18. > :02:27.on puffins this year. They are now considered
:02:28. > :02:29.a threatened species, which means that numbers
:02:30. > :02:34.are getting dangerously low. A big count is under way to try work
:02:35. > :02:37.out how many are left. It's hoped that by keeping
:02:38. > :02:40.an eye on the birds, experts can work out
:02:41. > :02:53.how to help them. Out of all these birds, it's
:02:54. > :02:57.probably the most threatened of the species here at these cliffs and for
:02:58. > :03:01.us to understand how many there are as critical. We know we have over
:03:02. > :03:06.1000 pairs of breeding puffins and that's fantastic. But we have got to
:03:07. > :03:06.try and safeguard them for the future.
:03:07. > :03:09.Next, you might not be a fan of creepy crawlies but insects
:03:10. > :03:11.are essential to the planet's survival.
:03:12. > :03:14.Numbers are decreasing but now there is a new project that's hoping
:03:15. > :03:31.Insects like these aren't just nice to look at. They also do a very
:03:32. > :03:35.special job of pollination. Busy insects are attracted to flowers
:03:36. > :03:42.which contain delicious nectar like to eat. Pollen rubs off on to them
:03:43. > :03:47.and they carry it from plant to plant. Copying them to reproduce and
:03:48. > :03:51.recreate seed. But the numbers of these pollinating insects have been
:03:52. > :03:56.decreasing. The big threat to the pollinating insects is the loss of
:03:57. > :04:02.habitat, the loss of homes for nature. That has been because of
:04:03. > :04:05.changes in farming which has more chemicals and less space for
:04:06. > :04:11.wildlife to flourish because they need to create more crops on the
:04:12. > :04:14.same amount of ground. Without insects like Bees and butterflies a
:04:15. > :04:19.lot of the plants would no longer exist and this could have a big
:04:20. > :04:23.impact on the environment, animals and even is. Now a special scheme
:04:24. > :04:28.has been set up to teach us how to look after these important
:04:29. > :04:32.creatures. The pollination project wants you to learn more about
:04:33. > :04:36.pollinating insects, planting more seats to create more flowers for
:04:37. > :04:42.them and also keep a log of all the insects you see in your school and
:04:43. > :04:44.local areas. If there weren't pollinators like Bees, butterflies
:04:45. > :04:49.and beetles then there wouldn't be any flowers because they take Colin
:04:50. > :04:55.to the next flour to make more flowers. When I found out how
:04:56. > :04:59.important pollen was it was a big shock to me because it makes the
:05:00. > :05:03.world as pretty as it is now and it produces food for us. If we don't
:05:04. > :05:10.think about it, we will struggle to improve our environment. So far, 260
:05:11. > :05:11.schools across the UK have signed up and it's hoped that with their help,
:05:12. > :05:14.insect numbers will increase. Tennis now and Andy Murray
:05:15. > :05:17.crashed out of the third round of the Miami Open last night
:05:18. > :05:20.at the hands of Grigor Dimitrov. World number two Murray has won
:05:21. > :05:25.in Miami twice previously but lost out to his Bulgarian opponent
:05:26. > :05:31.who is seeded 26th in the world. Dimitrov won on his first match
:05:32. > :05:37.point, in two hours 25 minutes. Finally, two police officers
:05:38. > :05:40.in London have helped with a very Baby Alex arrived on Easter Monday
:05:41. > :05:46.after his Mum went in to labour The police, who were out on patrol,
:05:47. > :05:52.were asked to help and the healthy baby-boy ended up
:05:53. > :05:55.being born in a van. That's all from me, Newsround's back
:05:56. > :05:59.at 4.20pm this afternoon.
