:00:30. > :00:32.It was one of the most amazing ancient cities in the world,

:00:33. > :00:35.but it was under risk of being completely destroyed

:00:36. > :00:41.Until a couple days ago it was under the control of the group IS,

:00:42. > :00:45.which deliberately damaged many of the buildings.

:00:46. > :00:50.It's a Unesco World Heritage Site which means it is an important

:00:51. > :00:55.historical place which should be protected.

:00:56. > :00:58.The city is in Syria, where there's been a war

:00:59. > :01:02.Many sides are fighting each other to gain more power there,

:01:03. > :01:07.including one group called Islamic State.

:01:08. > :01:11.In May 2015, it took control of Palmyra.

:01:12. > :01:14.Islamic State destroyed buildings because they have very extreme views

:01:15. > :01:19.that hate the idea of other religions, even ones that

:01:20. > :01:25.Over the weekend, Palmyra was re-captured by forces who follow

:01:26. > :01:31.These forces have been very brutal - but they do not agree

:01:32. > :01:36.with Islamic State's destruction of the ancient ruins,

:01:37. > :01:39.so for the time being Palmyra is safe.

:01:40. > :01:42.These drone pictures reveal the damage caused by Islamic State.

:01:43. > :01:44.Some treasured sites have been destroyed.

:01:45. > :01:50.But much of the ancient city's ruins are still standing.

:01:51. > :01:53.Now to the big push to help save our bumble bees,

:01:54. > :01:55.butterflies and other insects whose numbers are falling across the UK.

:01:56. > :01:59.A new project is asking children to help plant more flowers for them

:02:00. > :02:01.to feast on and log the types of insects you might see

:02:02. > :02:06.The hope is experts will be able to help protect the creatures

:02:07. > :02:11.So far, 260 schools have signed up and children have told Newsround why

:02:12. > :02:26.When I found out how important pollen was, it was a big shock to

:02:27. > :02:33.me. It makes the world as pretty as it is now and it produces food for

:02:34. > :02:37.us. If we don't think about it now, we will struggle to improve our

:02:38. > :02:44.environment. If there weren't insects like bees and butterflies,

:02:45. > :02:50.there would not be any flowers because they take pollen is from --

:02:51. > :02:51.pollen from one flower to another to make more flowers.

:02:52. > :02:53.Americans will vote for their new President in November,

:02:54. > :02:56.but there's one person who is making all the headlines at the moment -

:02:57. > :03:06.Who is Donald Trump? He is one of America's most successful

:03:07. > :03:14.businessmen. Now he is trying to become president. Up until this

:03:15. > :03:22.election, he was mostly known for being a reality TV star, but now he

:03:23. > :03:25.has a serious chance of being the next president and that is

:03:26. > :03:30.attracting huge attention from around the world. That is because of

:03:31. > :03:34.the things he says, which are controversial. He has been tough on

:03:35. > :03:43.immigration and wants to build a war between America and Mexico to stop

:03:44. > :03:49.immigrants getting in. He has also called for a ban on Muslims coming

:03:50. > :03:54.into the US. His message, let us make America great again, has gone

:03:55. > :04:02.down well with voters. But people are worried, saying that Donald

:04:03. > :04:09.Trump is racist and dangerous. Now they have been clashes at some of

:04:10. > :04:14.his events. Donald Trump's opponents says he has said things to encourage

:04:15. > :04:15.violence. He says he has not. A lot of people are worried that this

:04:16. > :04:18.year's election will divide the US. You can find more on the US
