:00:45. > :00:52.UK voted for Brexit that is to exit the EU. Now that process starts
:00:53. > :00:53.today. We have been part of the EU for more than 40 years.
:00:54. > :00:57.The British people decide our future in Europe.
:00:58. > :01:10.The decision taken has been reversed by this referendum to leave the EU.
:01:11. > :01:13.Following the referendum, we face a time of great national change.

:01:20. > :01:28.through which the United Kingdom will leave European Union.

:02:13. > :02:19.The Prime Minister, Theresa May, will activate Article 50 later
:02:20. > :02:21.today, which means the UK will officially be
:02:22. > :02:28.Well, doing this gives the UK and other 27 EU countries,
:02:29. > :02:31.two years to come up with a deal about what sort of relationship
:02:32. > :02:34.the UK will have with the EU in the future.
:02:35. > :02:36.They need to decide rules for things, like buying
:02:37. > :02:39.and selling products to each other and immigration.
:02:40. > :02:43.Once a deal has been made official and approved, then the UK is out.
:02:44. > :02:47.It's a lot to get through in two years so the politicians will be
:02:48. > :02:50.If they decide they need more than two years,
:02:51. > :03:00.then the time limits can be extended but only if everybody agrees.
:03:01. > :03:09.After Article 50 is triggered, what next? Politicians at the EU and UK

:04:26. > :04:29.and the authorities have encouraged around 25,000 people
:04:30. > :04:34.It's very clear that the time for people to move is now,
:04:35. > :04:40.More than 2,000 emergency workers are on stand-by ready to help those
:04:41. > :04:43.affected by the cyclone but the authorities won't know how
:04:44. > :04:50.much damage Cyclone Debbie has caused until the winds die down.
