:00:11. > :00:14.You're watching Newsround with me Ricky. We've got all of Tuesday's
:00:15. > :00:18.stories covered. On the way: Gigantic news from Hollywood as a
:00:19. > :00:22.Roald Dahl book is set to make it on the big screen. I am confronting my
:00:23. > :00:25.phobia head-on. The Olympic Games is the biggest
:00:26. > :00:30.sporting event in the world. Cities across the world compete for the
:00:31. > :00:36.honour of hosting it. The next Olympics in 2016 will be held in the
:00:37. > :00:40.Brazilian city of Rio. But there's a problem. There are real worries the
:00:41. > :00:43.city won't be ready in time. With loads of the buildings a long way
:00:44. > :00:47.off being finished, a top Olympic boss has now said that Rio's
:00:48. > :00:49.preparations are the worst he's ever experienced. Nel's been
:00:50. > :00:55.investigating where it's all going wrong for Brazil.
:00:56. > :00:59.There were celebrations when Brazil won the bid to host the 2016
:01:00. > :01:04.Olympics but now the task of hosting the Games and the World Cup which
:01:05. > :01:07.takes place in 44 days' time, is proving a bigger challenge than they
:01:08. > :01:11.thought. To host any sporting event the Olympics, the World Cup, you
:01:12. > :01:17.need venues and that seems to be a big stumbling block. Rio have some
:01:18. > :01:24.problems, they're looking to build eight stadiums in one area of the
:01:25. > :01:26.city, work hasn't even started. The International Olympic Committee are
:01:27. > :01:29.very concerned and want Rio to get a move on.
:01:30. > :01:33.A lot of people in the country are unhappy with the amount of money
:01:34. > :01:39.that the Government has spent on not only bringing the Olympics in 2016
:01:40. > :01:42.but also the World Cup this summer. The International Olympic Committee
:01:43. > :01:44.are a little concerned about the levels of protest because some of
:01:45. > :01:48.them have been violent. The Government for their part say
:01:49. > :01:52.everything will be OK, it will be a successful Games and people can
:01:53. > :01:55.enjoy themselves. The World Cup and the Olympics have had accusations of
:01:56. > :01:59.corruption thrown at them. Is that a real threat? Every Olympics and
:02:00. > :02:03.every World Cup to that extent always has the shadow of corruption
:02:04. > :02:08.hanging over it. They spend enormous sums of money, not only on venues,
:02:09. > :02:11.but also transport systems and other big projects. Other cities have
:02:12. > :02:16.struggled to get things ready in time for the Olympics. But this is
:02:17. > :02:20.the first time in many years where there are still real fears that the
:02:21. > :02:24.host country will not make the deadline.
:02:25. > :02:27.It's a role every actor dreams of - playing a 24-foot man who eats
:02:28. > :02:31.vegetables that taste like rotting frogs. Roald Dahl's famous book The
:02:32. > :02:35.Big Friendly Giant is going to be made in to a live action film, by
:02:36. > :02:40.huge Hollywood director Steven Speilberg. And we want to know who
:02:41. > :02:43.you think should play the snozzcumber scoffing giant? Tell us
:02:44. > :02:45.over on the Newsround website. Next, be it petrifying heights,
:02:46. > :02:54.slithering snakes, or the darkness... That's better! There are
:02:55. > :02:58.lots of different things that people are afraid of, even balloons. But a
:02:59. > :03:04.new smartphone app claims to be able to help people face their fears. But
:03:05. > :03:10.will it work for Martin? At the moment I am feeling as though
:03:11. > :03:20.I have sweaty palms. My body's really tense and it's because I have
:03:21. > :03:24.a fear of spiders. This is genuinely the closest I can
:03:25. > :03:28.get and I am trying to look at it but my brain's telling me now, you
:03:29. > :03:33.can't because that's scary. At the moment I am feeling I need to get
:03:34. > :03:37.out of here. I have been scared of spiders for as long as I can
:03:38. > :03:44.remember. That was really scary. Could this app help solve all of my
:03:45. > :03:48.problems? Yes, it's a spider but she is a really cute one. I think you
:03:49. > :03:52.will like her. This app works by slowly introducing a person to
:03:53. > :03:56.spiders. First, you play a series of games with cartoon spiders which
:03:57. > :04:01.start out as cute and harmless looking. Gradually they become more
:04:02. > :04:05.realistic. The app explains what a phobia is and gets you to play a
:04:06. > :04:10.certificaties of games. Does it really work? -- series of games.
:04:11. > :04:14.Does it really work? You can see a doctor that can help you do
:04:15. > :04:18.exercises that will help you relax. Why do people develop phobias? It
:04:19. > :04:22.might be genetic, if your parents are prone to developing a phobia,
:04:23. > :04:25.you may yourself develop one. Another reason might be because you
:04:26. > :04:30.see your parents scared of something and you develop the fear yourself.
:04:31. > :04:34.Other developers are trying to use games to tackle different types of
:04:35. > :04:38.phobias and panic attacks. However, some experts warn that even if these
:04:39. > :04:42.apps work for some people, they may not work for everyone.
:04:43. > :04:53.They say there are other ways to get help for fears and phobias. That's
:04:54. > :04:57.all from me. Make sure you're back here at 6.50pm to find out why the
:04:58. > :04:59.Netherlands are waving goodbye to glow in the dark road markings and
:05:00. > :05:00.for a sneak peak around
