:01:20. > :01:26.which told the story of Britain's oldest living magician, who was also

:01:27. > :01:34.a prisoner of war in World War II. Singer Wayne Woodward was runner up

:01:35. > :01:41.after singing "Feeling good" in the final. A stormtroopers dancing act

:01:42. > :01:46.was in third place. Then, a special performance, marking the 10th

:02:25. > :02:27.to miss, leaving none other than Cristiano Ronaldo to step up

:02:28. > :02:41.and secure Real's 11th Our team showed that we are more

:02:42. > :02:44.confident, we did not miss any penalties. We deserve it, we scored

:02:45. > :02:48.all of the goals. Now the winner of the

:02:49. > :02:50.Children's Book Award - which is voted entirely for by kids

:02:51. > :02:53.- has been announced. It went to My Head Teacher

:02:54. > :02:56.is a Vampire Rat. A little bit earlier I had a chat

:02:57. > :02:59.with the author and illustrator. Writer Pamela Butchard told me

:03:00. > :03:07.the inspiration behind the story. I am a teacher, I work in a school,

:03:08. > :03:11.I probably should have told my headteacher about the title before

:03:12. > :03:16.it came out! I had to make it clear it was not about him. I got a new

:03:17. > :03:20.headteacher when I was at primary school, when you get a new one, you

:03:21. > :03:28.aren't always told what the old one left. It's down to your imagination,

:03:29. > :03:31.did they turn into a werewolf? There's a new headteacher who turns

:03:32. > :03:35.up, he's a bit different and has a very white face and he says things

:03:36. > :03:42.like... Good day... Tom, you are the illustrator. You came up with the

:03:43. > :03:45.drawings early before the story was given to you. I had not read the

:03:46. > :03:51.first story but had a rough idea of what it was. I had to put characters

:03:52. > :03:57.on the cover, I had to design them. I checked in with Pamela on her

:03:58. > :04:00.ideas, and strangely enough, they kind of matched. Some of the

:04:01. > :04:05.characters are based on pupils I teach. It's a lot of fun, and in

:04:06. > :04:11.class if they say something, I say watch out, you will end up in my

:04:12. > :04:14.book. I spent yesterday pulling the leaves of my trophy backwards and

:04:15. > :04:19.forwards, looking at all of the names of people, Roald Dahl won the

:04:20. > :04:30.award in 1982, for Matilda, one of my favourite books. Mine too. It is

:04:31. > :04:34.amazing, isn't it? We each get to keep an acorn from the silver tree,

:04:35. > :04:38.we give the trophy back at the end of the year, and we get a leaf to

:04:39. > :04:41.symbolise the tree. It is very special.

:04:42. > :04:44.Engines at the ready everyone - because Top Gear is back on our TV

:04:45. > :04:46.screens tonight with some brand new presenters.

:04:47. > :04:49.The big question people are asking is whether the new line-up

:04:50. > :04:51.can live up to the success of Jeremy Clarkson and co?

:04:52. > :04:54.Let's take a quick look at what we can expect

:04:55. > :05:17.0- 60 takes 3.5 seconds. This is not off-road in, this is new level

:05:18. > :05:25.flight. --

:05:26. > :05:36.offroading. Go out, go out! Sorry! Was it a good lap?

:05:37. > :05:40.And to another bit of hi-tech kit - NASA has finally managed to inflate

:05:41. > :05:42.the blow-up space pod on board the International Space Station.

:05:43. > :05:44.The Bigelow Expandable Activity Module, or BEAM for short,

:05:45. > :05:46.took seven hours to pump up on Saturday.

:05:47. > :05:49.It's part of a two-year experiment and it's hoped this technology can

:05:50. > :05:51.be used to create inflatable space homes on other planets

:05:52. > :05:59.Newsround's next update on TV is at ten past two.
